Hotel Romantik di Chiang Mai

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. Only downside was the location, it was near the back side of Anusarn Market around a 5 mins walk away. However at night that street is a bit quiet and dark so a little unsettling.

Na Nirand is a beautiful and exceptionally well kept boutique gem of a hotel. The staff is outstanding in every way. Breakfast is excellent, and dinner should not be missed. The chef is five stars! The pool is relaxing and an oasis setting. The rooms are in spotless condition with traditional Lanna styling. Grand Lanna or better is my recommendation. Although the magnificent tree with mostly trimmed, I look forward to a return visit to Na Nirand to see it in full bloom.

The positives Service: front desk, door men etc were very friendly and polite Location: convenient location near the airport (15 mins away), near a shopping mall, lots of food / cafes / bars / restaurants and shops nearby at the nimman area within very short walking distance Rooms: large, spacious, free beverage per person per night, welcome rice crackers Negatives 1. Didn’t like the dark corridors in the hotel 2. Deluxe room was VERY dim 3. Bed was too soft and flat. Bedsheets and pillows weren’t great 4. Cleanliness was an issue. The floor and carpet didn’t feel clean but the hotel provided slippers. The worst part was the shower area 😩😩🤮🤮 mould on the floor and walls, overall grimy and slimy esp at the corners. The rest of the negatives can be overlooked but not the shower area. I literally cringed and shuddered every time I had to shower. I don’t understand how it can be so dirty?! 😩 5. The light switches were a nightmare. There were many switches at the door area and bedside (like 3 switches per side) but no instructions and they didn’t follow a pattern so you would always need to try switching on and off etc all the time just to get the room totally dark but with the bedside lamp on 6. Sounds from outside the door, next room, upstairs could be heard and it was very disturbing as the noise sounded like it was next to me all the time. There were endless footstep noises from upstairs during the night and all these noises woke me up throughout my stay. I usually sleep through the night in hotels 7. My first room, the shower area had ZERO lights and I had to bathe in literal darkness. Thankfully the front desk were very quick and efficient and got me another room to move to which was thankfully very bright with working shower lights. 8. Hotel breakfast was full of carbs and the food didn’t taste fresh or great at all :( I had spent the last 3 days at another hotel in Chiang Mai so the differences in room and bfast were really stark. Overall, for a clean freak, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. But if you can overlook the cleanliness; the location, friendliness of staff, etc are positives you can focus on. It's taken me a while to write this review as we stayed on Jan 2019. Chaing Mai was the hilight of my thailand tour and i wish i had stayed longer here. Its super easy to get to from the airport and as other say you think your 'outside' the city but you are very close - 5/10 mins max so you have the best of both worlds. This hotel really is pretty - that's the best way to describe it, everything is lovely. The room was very large, with a comfy bed. The shower and bathroom were very clean. Only thing i didn't like was the door to your room is on a walkway so you had to keep the curtains closed. Pools look lovely and as someone said they don't really get the sun, the 2nd pool has a terrace for sunbathing which in the early morning was nice. Pool towels are provided. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Reception where helpful in booking our table at a resturant and arranging our transfer to the airport. Location: 0nly 10mins either way to everything - we got lost a little going to the night market because we went on the back streets at night but got there safe and sound. Food there was amazing and a great price! In chaing Mai - we did elephant santuray that was the best day ever.. we also been the temple of the hill which i feel we overpaid the little red bus to get to, and finally thai cooking school - one of the best activities and great value - £15 for 6 course, you all got your own wok and made your own dish so you weren't force to cook something you didn't want and more importantly you could balance the spice to your personally type. There is still soooo much more to see and i would definatly return to this hotel and city

Staff are extremely helpful especially Mr Dear always checking our Grab bookings and let us sit in the lobby while he look out for our car to arrive. Always readily recommend places to go upon request. Staff at the restaurant are so amazing, they are so attentive and remember our special requests and for the next few days served us according what we requested on day one. We appreciate Ms Chanya, Mr Jommy and their team for their first class service. Hotel location is good , 15 min walk to weekend night markets and 15 min drive to most malls.

We stayed at this hotel for six nights. It’s in a good location within the old city. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We did not hear any street noise at night. Our package included breakfast which was a good option. Breakfast included a choice of hot dishes, cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast, croissants, juice, coffee and tea. The pool was refreshingly cool and there is a small cafe/bar next to the pool. The staff were somewhat friendly although there was one front desk fellow who seemed a little aloof. I think perhaps their spoken English isn’t very strong which might be the reason for this. The woman in the lobby who did the tour bookings was very friendly and helpful. There is a security guard outside. Overall, a good little hotel and gave it four stars. (I only give 5 stars if there is something really outstanding such as exceptional service above and beyond.) We would stay here again if the opportunity arose.

I stayed here the first week of January 2023. The architecture and grounds are very beautiful, however, the property is starting to show its age. And on checking into my room, I noticed that there were some nails popping out of the floor. Fortunately, I didn’t cut myself on them. Maintenance was very quick to remedy this. I’m not sure if some of the shower fixtures need to be repaired or it’s just a matter of a lack of water pressure. This is not a resort you would stay in if you’re looking to spend a lot of time in the old town. It is at least a 25 minute drive. Given this was my second trip to Chiang Mai I came to relax and sightseeing was a lower priority so I didn’t mind that it was far from town. The breakfast buffet was just OK. It did have an egg station however, it seems to be difficult to keep the self-serve items hot. And there was also a mediocre Asian breakfast buffet. I prefer to order coffee than use their machine. Given the cost of breakfast it would’ve been better to have à la cart. NOW THE GOOD PARTS: Fai at spa: I do think Fai was the star of the resort staff. She was very kind, professional providing a great massage. I’m sorry I only went over to the spa once. Wait staff: i’m sorry I don’t remember their names, but I found the serving staff to be very friendly and polite. A couple of waiters at dinner were very helpful with recommendations that I found very good. Dinner: I had dinner most evenings at the resort. I thought it was reasonably priced. I love the Pad Thai and on multiple nights had to order dessert, mango and sticky rice. Both excellent. A couple of evenings I had different types of northern Thai stew that was very good. Room with pool access: I enjoyed having the room with pool access. And I thought the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortabl. There is a small patio with two chairs and a table as you walk out of your room. It’s a nice place to sit and read by the pool. The pool does have a swim up bar which was never opened the week I was there. I’m not sure why. It wasn’t a big deal because it wasn’t something I was that interested in. The pool was well-maintained and cleaned twice a day. The resort needs to determine if it wants to be 2 or 3 star or a 4 star. You either have to lower your price or improve the rooms and breakfast.

Lokasinya bagus, terdapat KFC, restoran pizza dan restoran tempatan di bawah hotel, serta kedai peralatan mandian yang lebih besar. Di hadapan sedikit di seberang jalan adalah bandar purba. Sarapan adalah biasa-biasa saja. Perkhidmatan ini mesra dan penuh perhatian.

I absolutely loved my stay here and the check out gift was a great idea 😊 They seem to understand that every trip is special and it is hard to book a trip within our busy lives. They made the stay so comfortable and special - i feel very grateful to have found this gem. Massive thank you to all the staff - at the front desk, and at the restaurant every breakfast, with special shout to Moth. They were so accommodating, service was prompt and efficient - 6 stars ⭐️ Its a beautiful hotel/hotel grounds, spacious, quiet, nice but not pretentious. Breakfast was delicious, great pastries, can choose any a la carte. I have been in Thailand for 2 weeks on this trip, having stayed in 3 other hotels which were mediocre - I am happy I ended with this one. I will definitely be back!

This unique boutique hotel was lovely in terms of layout, style and elegance. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast included was most adequate. The spa was extraordinarily great value for money, and I would highly recommend having a massage and facial, as it was truly a divine experience. The rooms were well appointed, and look just like the photos online. As it was very hot at the time of year we were there, the air con was greatly welcomed. The big minus for the hotel was the reception experience. On arrival there was general confusion about our booking, the ladies were in the backroom the whole time, and it was difficult to get input on what to do, or where to go. There just seemed constant confusion and a lack of energy at reception overall. There was a lack of local knowledge or guidance, and I expected some really great insights on local restaurants or adventures such as cooking schools etc, but it was not forthcoming. Just a minor thought, but the hotel clothing of the staff also missed a beat. Everyone was in tired looking grey polo shirts. A minor point, but for such a lovely hotel, I thought there could be something more fitting/traditional for the team to wear. Finally the old mercedes was a hoot. Loved being driven to the airport in it. Added to the adventure.
