We celebrated our wedding anniversary at WA-Chicago and this is our first time staying at WA in the United States. Last WA stay was in Thailand where the experience was superb! Reservation was easy via the app and the concierge emailed me a week in advance asking if there was anything they can do to prepare of our stay. I had a terrible experience with a Hilton hotel in Las Vegas in Dec 2022 where a stranger opened my hotel door at 11:20 pm. I am still experiencing PTSD so I asked if the concierge can provide anything lavender (scent/oil) so I can be relaxed. Also, since it's our wedding anniversary, perhaps anything in that theme would be nice. First the concierge addressed me as Mr instead of Mrs. Unsure why one automatically thinks that it's the man who made the hotel booking. Second, the concierge wasn't able to meet my requests which was non-issue. We declined turn-down service but requested chocolate where they were never delivered during our stay. A robe was missing in the closet and room service delivered it immediately. There wasn't any coffee or tea in the room but the dining service delivered my hot tea in 30 minutes which was acceptable. The bed was comfortable but sound insulation wasn't great since we could hear neighbors' chatting at midnight. We used the steam/sauna for 30 minutes before checking out and the spa was a nice facility. The hotel is nicely located in the Gold Coast area where it is closed to many lovely restaurants. The reception area is kind of small and there were 2 guest service staffs assisting with check-in/out.

1. Didn’t asked for accesible room, but that’s what I got. 2. AC/heating system had a weird noise all night, you can’t turn it on because literally you won’t sleep. 3. Shower had someone’s else hairs in the shower wall, gross. - Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects. - Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself. -If you still do your rounds but you don’t inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldn’t be in that position. Room fridge isn’t working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so who’s fault is it? client or hotel? don’t charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service. Also, if you guys are having a group of “young teen/just turn 21” people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didn’t required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These “kids” were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare. Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated. I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but there’s no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience. Not sure if I would give it a second try. Can’t risk it.

We were really excited as this was our first trip to Chicago and this hotel was recommended to us. I loved that it had an indoor pool for my kids to swim in, free continental breakfast and a good location. When we booked our trip, the price was $255 a night, but when we got there, I saw online it was $145/night which is more reasonable given all the issues we encountered. We got there late at night and didn’t have any issues checking in. The next day we went to use the pool and it was ice cold. My kids were in it for maybe 5 minutes and were done because it was too cold. I told the front desk and they contacted maintenance to see what was wrong. The table in our room was falling apart and broke when my one year old was under it. My husband caught it and put it back together. We contacted the front desk and maintenance eventually came and put brackets on the legs to “stabilize” it. We tried the pool the next day, and it was ever colder. My husband said it was colder than a lake. Contacted the front again and they would look at it. The A/C in our room was broken and said it was set for 65 degrees but the room was reading 78 degrees. The pictures of the pool area also showed a hot tub, which was not the case. I tried to use our phone to call the front about something and both phones were broken and not working. We also weren’t given our vouchers for the bar until the last day we were there. Overall it was disappointing stay for the week.

I keep returning to the Hotel Felix for the same reasons. Good location just north of the river in downtown. Convenient eateries and other businesses within walking distance. Great staff. Very comfortable room. This time, I arrived late on a Friday night. There were lots of couples buzzing around the entrance, lobby, and elevators, but my floor was quiet and relaxing. Yet again, it was a different floor plan than I've had before - this time, I had a view out the front (Huron) side of the hotel. My room was cozy, and maybe just a tiny big larger than the two I've previously enjoyed. Super friendly staff at the front desk. Not only was check-in and check-out efficient, but always with a smile they answered questions and reprogrammed my room keys after I accidentally zapped them. I've always felt I've gotten an excellent price here, particularly because of the location. There's no in-room coffee or microwave / fridge, but this isn't an issue for me when I know in advance.

Had to park several blocks away. They take a $150 deposit when arrive on top of your room charges. They have no provided breakfast, no pool, do not provide any privacy door hangers, no microwave in room. And my room had roaches!

This was my second time staying at Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile, and it was a pure coincidence for this second stay. The location and the room offered were a great deal at this price. The facilities were decent (not too old) and the space were sufficient. Both my stays at Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile left me with very good impressions.

Awesome hotel, awesome view to the magnificent mile, will recommend for sure, walking distance to all the fancy area of Chicago and the river walk. Would stay there for ever. My room was 37th floor, great accommodation, amenities and quality of the room.

My husband and I and my sister all stayed at the Peninsula Hotel . This hotel is amazing. The rooms are pristine and comfortable. The dining was out of this world! We LOVED the Chinese Restaurant in the hotel. The food was perfect and the service wonderful. We also enjoyed a late meal in the lobby. We all had the Ahi Tuna appetizer and a salad before our main course. We were so full that we had to cancel our main meal orders! Everything was elegant, delicious and relaxed. We will stay there the next time we are in Chicago ( soon)! Our thank you’d to everyone working there. The Peninsula staff were all friendly and helpful!
