We have visited The Dean Court before and enjoyed it so much we wanted to return for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Upon checking in we was told that they had upgraded us free of charge. An absolutely lovely guesture which made our stay even more better! Thank you for having us again and we will definitely be back!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The bunker room made for a unique and comfortable stay and loved the little touches like the KitKats in the room on arrival. The only small complaint would be the shower head sprayed out, the whole bathroom floor to become soaked, but nothing major at all. We’ll definitely be back and recommending to to anyone staying in York.

地理位置極佳，約克火車站不出站走5、6分鐘就能到蘋果酒店後門；雖然在城牆外圍不屬於鬧市，但安靜乾淨；超讚的英式早餐，好吃且餐廳環境對着花園，看着好心情；老闆娘人很nice，國人相見的親切感，聊得很開心😃必須滿滿的全5分。希望有機會再來～陰晴不定的約克，古老又神祕又安逸且適合宜居的一個城市。

位置很方便，出門就是約克城牆。肉鋪街，大教堂基本就走10分鐘就到了
臨街但不吵，可以看看街景，還蠻有特色的
工作人員超級熱情友好！
房間乾淨整潔
但廚房沒有準備鹽胡椒油之類基本的東西，基本我們之前在英國的民宿都有備，所以我們自己沒帶到這邊就有點尷尬了。。。
另外，床真的有點小，單人和雙人都小。真的不懂為什麼英國好多都是這種小床。。。而且單人床晚上翻身會響

I'm always a bit nervous about staying at small, bespoke hotels - you don't always get the experience promised, but I had nothing to worry about. Jorvik House is great - really close to the station and very handy for York city centre. The room was fantastic, and the mini-bar was very well stocked (although I didn't partake). And, unlike many other hotel bathrooms, you didn't need a masters degree in engineering to operate the shower. I like to visit York once or twice a year and to be honest I don't think I'll be looking at other hotels in the future.

Legasi hotel ini adalah restoran yang sangat popular dan memerlukan tempahan terlebih dahulu. Ia kebetulan adalah Hari Valentine dan restoran penuh saya memesan perkhidmatan bilik dan makan di dalam bilik, yang dirasakan lebih istimewa.
Kanak-kanak itu mengalami pendarahan hidung pada waktu malam dan ia berada di seluruh cadar. Saya pada asalnya bimbang tentang bayaran pembersihan, tetapi meja depan hotel terus berkata ”tidak perlu risau”. Saya segera berasa lega daripada permohonan maaf asal saya.

PPengguna TetamuAwful stay, sleep deprived because we had a faulty fire alarm screaming alarms into our ears and the last night and following day were completely ruined for us negating the whole point of a short two day city break. Fire alarm was faulty and repeatedly went off during the night, screeching into your ears starting at 10 pm, if that doesn’t sound like fun to you, avoid, especially as the issue wasn’t fixed when we left. Alarm issues started on Sunday morning but didn't seem to be passed onto staff on Sunday evening and were not dealt with or forwarded. Fire alarm went off on Sunday night at 10pm which should have registered a major issue but rather than deal with it, roomzzz just left it. I rang the member of staff on duty and told him it needed silencing due to him saying it was a faulty sensor and i informed him it had gone off before that day of which he was not aware. He simply wasn't trained to do it or trained in escalation and simply left it, having already disturbed everyone at 10pm on a Sunday night which is ultimately managements fault for not making sure staff understood what to do in emergency situations. Faulty alarm then predictably woke everybody up at 2am which i told the member of staff the first time we didn’t want to be woken up again, then at half 2 and then it went off again a few times when the staff member finally decided to get the manager out of bed, which should have happened when the issue first appeared on Sunday morning or at the very least sorted at 10pm when it went off at 10pm Sunday evening. To top it off it went off again Monday morning at 11am. The Manager was nice but full of the usual excuses which i just were not buying, she said it could have been handled better but it was handled at all, it was amateur at roomzzz York. Its likely still faulty as i type this due to the alarm company clearly not being called out. She said there was not a lot that could be done because it’s the fire alarm which is just…a lie, the zone or faulty sensor should have been isolated on the system. Again lack of knowledge on what to do from management. To top it off we had someone hammering away on Monday morning at 11 am, clearly nobody communicates who is in what rooms. Other than that the stay was standard though not to the quality we had when we visited the Chester roomzzz aparthotel. TV was faulty when we booked in which was a minor inconvenience but nothing compared to having screeching faulty fire alarms shocking you out of bed. Awful experience and we rushed home due to been knackered because my partner couldn’t get back to sleep, rather than enjoying the day out in York.

IISARIWe had a comfortable stay with a spacious room and great amenities. However, there was a party in the lobby during our stay that made the area quite crowded and noisy. Despite that, we still had a good experience overall and would recommend it for families.

PPengguna TetamuGreat reception staff. The room was advertised as a ‘cosy double’ but it was a huge bed, huge room and small bathroom.
The breakfast had an excellent selection which you could help yourself to.
The one downside was that the walls were quite thin so you could hear people in the next room or talking while passing along the corridor.

There is car park at the back of the hotel. It was a nice and convenient location. We stay on the ground floor, only a few steps up, from the reception.
It was very great, we don’t need prepare the sofa bed, they had done before our arrival.
Only the cleanliness is a bit not up to standard. There is nail polish left on the desk and plastic clip on the floor.
It is nice to provide tooth brushes and razors. However, no slippers can be provided, which is the only thing we had forgotten.
The body and hand wash are locked, it was empty in the shower, we needed to call for refill. If we can move the one from the basin, then we don’t need to bother the staff.
The worst is no sound proof at all. You can hear someone outside in the corridor and even next door. We can hear next door’s conversation clearly.

Ddashv1llWe had a lovely stay at Diamonds Inn. We booked the Standard Suite, Ensuite 3-bed room which is located at the top floor of the building. A very quaint compact en-suite family room great for a group of friends or family. All basic amenities are there including towels, shampoo and shower gels. There’s also an electric water kettle, coffee/tea, hair dryer and a small fridge! Beds are soft and comfy. Walls are thin and may hear voices of other guests in the halls during the day but was not a major issue during our stay, mostly quiet after 10pm. Location is very convenient as its only a stones throw away from one of the famous wall entrances, a pub and restaurant across and York Minster. Host was lovely and friendly as well, called to ask if we can get an early check-in and was happy to accommodate us.
