The hotel is an intimate oasis! Off the beaten path, with priceless views of the lake and mountains. The lakeside room, lounge and restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had the mushroom pasta and it was so light and fluffy-delicious. Check in was very special because Namoi helped us to upgrade our room for a minimal cost $20.00 so worth it!

Stayed there as a family for four nights and the two girls that were running this place where so hospitable. Their service was very good. We have a 19 month baby girl and we came a little bit early, called them and asked for a early check in. No problem. When we arrived almost everything was ready with a children´s bed and everything. Our doughter has allergic to eggs and milk and they custom made breakfast for us. I myself ate the buffet and it was really good! The bed was good and the room that we got was separate from the main building, it had a sink in it and a desk. You can hear commotion if somebody is opening doors but its ok. There was 2 toilets both with showers, everything clean and a small kitchen where you could cook, store your food in the fridge and eat at a table. I accidentally broke an bottle opener and told them about it and they just brought me a new one. I promised to buy a new one but I totally forgot it. I recommend this place, especially if you have kids. Just let them know beforehand and they will take good care of you.

PPengguna TetamuThis was one of my favorite stays in Iceland. The apartment was very spacious, organized, clean and well equipped. The owner had good communication about check in/out. I loved the remote location. It would be a good base for touring in that area. We would stay here again. And the views! What a lovely, restful spot. My one small suggestion would be to add directions for those of us who have never used the type of oven/stove and washer/dryer. I’m sure it’s simple for most but a step by step for those would be nice.

The hotel is located in a perfect location and the entire structure is designed for the comfort and pleasure of its guests. The suites are wonderful and perfect for enjoying this winter paradise. Our room was luxurious, super spacious and comfortable. Super well planned for the best comfort. The staff were fantastic. At all times they were super friendly, discreet, but managed to anticipate our needs. We spent our days relaxing by the hot tub and enjoying the wonderful sunsets from our window. A beautiful and comfortable place with a fantastic staff. We can't wait to go back!

From the gorgeous sunset views to the stars to the Northern Lights in our own private hot pool... we would've moved in here if we could. We spent our days exploring the Lake Myvatn area and going dog-sledding at the kennel nearby! (We booked a tour in advance.) Our host was lovely and prepared an outstanding breakfast for us, even though we were the only guests for the night! The room is clean and comfortable. We remember this guesthouse so fondly and highly recommend it for a beautiful stay near Myvatn!

PPengguna TetamuLocated off Hwy 1 about 60 kilometers from lake Myvatn is a good guesthouse. You check in at one place, but you maybe staying at a complex about 6 kilometers away. The rooms are good sized and have private baths. Also much cheaper than in the Lake Myvatn area. The owner is helpful. At the complex where I stayed there is a good communal kitchen and meeting room. Contrary to Booking's statement, there is a breakfast option which is good at an additional cost. It is a lonely outpost on the long barren stretch of Hwy 1 headed east from Lake Myvatn. It is convenient to Dettifoss.
