The Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. This made showering an unpleasant not to say dangerous encounter! You judge if this Hotel deserves the five star rating. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

Situated right next to Cologne Main Railway Station and across from Cologne Cathedral. Great central location. I had room on fourth floor, no external noise. Room cleaned every day. Air Con in room. Friendly helpful Staff. Breakfast (15 Euros) was very nice with a wide variety of food. For snacks there are plenty of places in the Railway station, which also has a small Supermarket. I will definitely choose this Hotel for my next visit to Cologne.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Ich habe bei der Buchung das falsche Datum eingegeben und musste meine Buchung ändern. Die Mitarbeiterin. hat mir geholfen meine Buchung zu ändern. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. We stayed in the hotel as a family with 7 years old child without any problem. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel so we have no idea about restaurant. Employees are kind and doing their best. Very good location. You can walk all the touristic places. We went to Cologne on December and it was cold. Whenever we felt cold, we turned to hotel for rest in 5-10 minutes. The best christmas market (Heumarkt) is near the hotel and you can use public transport in front of the hotel (if you need). Walk distance to the Dom Cathedral, Love Bridge, Chocolate Museum, Shildergrasse and all the christmas markets.

Hotel ligt vlak bij de Dom en het centraal station in een rustige straat en beschikt over een eigen parkeergarage (tegen betaling) die wel vrij nauwe ingang en nauwe parkeerplekken heeft. We arriveerden tegen het middaguur; onze business comfort met 2 separate bedden kamer was reeds gereed. Inchecken verloopt snel en effectief in de kleine receptie. De kamer beschikt over een badkamer met baddouche en toilet. Er is een raam dat open kan. Ondanks dat de kamer aan de straatzijde op 1e etage ligt is deze rustig. Er is koffie thee op de kamer beschikbaar. Vlak naast de receptie ligt de grote ruimte waar het ontbijtbuffet met ruim voldoende keuze geserveerd wordt. Vanuit het hotel loop je binnen 5 minuten via de stationshal het stadscentrum met alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden (waaronder de Dom van Keulen) in. Er zijn voldoende restaurants in de omgeving; het hotel heeft geen restaurant voor lunch of diner.

I stayed for 2 nights on a trip through Europe. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral. What I liked: The great location. The friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast with lots on offer. Easily accessible. The bed was comfortable. What I didn’t like: The room I was given was tiny with no window. It was so so hot and sadly that affected my sleep. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work and just circulated hot air. However, the kind man on reception offered me another room, but I was already settled and for such a short stay didn’t want to pack everything up again. Regardless of that, I’d be happy to stay here again and the price I paid was incredibly reasonable, being so close to the centre of the city.

I'm not going to lie - I wasn't a fan of this hotel. That is NOT to say it wasn't nice but it really wasn't for me. It totally lacked personality. For the price you can't really complain but there was nothing that particularly stood out for me. I felt like I was staying in an office building. The WIFI was really quick (which was a bonus) and there was towels and soap provided. The staff were OK but I didn't really get a customer service feel to be honest. The cleaner offered me a fan in the heat (which was lovely). This review might be a bit harsh (simply because it wasn't my type of place) but I was glad I only stayed here one night. The view from my room was absolutely shocking (a building under construction) and no provision was made for the loud noise by the construction workers. On the plus side, it was in a really good location (next to the shopping centre). I wouldn't come back to be honest!

El hotel se encuentra muy bien situado. Es lo mejor que podemos decir de el, quizá el precio para ser un hotel también es atractivo, no muy caro y con un café y una pizza incluido. Las habitaciones, son muy simples. Cumplen los estándares mínimos tanto estas como el baño, aunque cuidado con el agua de los baños pues sale hirviendo, y no es broma. El personal es muy amable, aunque da la impresión de que casi viven allí, no quiero aventurarme mucho en este aspecto pero ya valorareis cuando vayais. El que la recepción del hotel sea un mix entre pizzeria, peluquería china y hotel, no ayuda a pensar lo contrario. Pero aun así, quiero remarcar que todos los chicos y el servicio muy amables.

Stayed for a few days in mid-December to visit Cologne and its Christmas Markets. In terms of location relative to the train station, the Dom, the Christmas Market, shopping and restaurants you can't beat it. Cost is average. The attached beer hall was great and had wonderful food and service, highly recommend the pork hock. The hotel breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of choices. The downside, between the pedestrian traffic, construction and the Christmas Market do not expect to get any sleep. Things shut down about 2:30am and construction starts about 7:00am and the hotel is far from sound-proof. The rooms in the older part of the hotel are in desperate need of renovation, bathroom was very small. Parts of the hotel have been modernized and the rooms there while small, are in much better shape. Depending on your tolerance its a viable option in Cologne.

Great hotel in fantastic central location close to train station and Cathedral . The room was well designed which made the most of the space and was spotlessly clean. The staff were superb and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was again superb and the choice really good for a small boutique hotel. Would definitely recommend and return if we visit Cologne again. Only small point we would make is to try and add some privacy blinds or something on the windows so the curtains do not need to be closed as room overlooked by building close by

Easy booking online - check in was a little long-winded as there's no actual staff just a machine to check in, it took a few goes to get it right. Room was large, bed comfy and we even had a balcony on an unexpected upgrade. Nespresso coffee machine & 4 pods in the room were a bonus. Overlooks a lively square and is perfectly placed to explore the old town and head out for drinks/dinner. Bathroom clean and functional, quite eco-conscious as well. A free packet of plant seeds on the bed was a very nice touch. Would happily stay here again if we were in Cologne.
