was told after checked in that they were undergoing water piping in midnight and bo water from 11pm to 5am next morning. wish they had posted this when made the booking. other than that, it is always my favorite hotel to stay at in Cologne. location is excellent, 300 meter to central station and city center.

The Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. This made showering an unpleasant not to say dangerous encounter! You judge if this Hotel deserves the five star rating. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

The Courtyard Marriott of Cologne was clean, beautiful and a great location. It was a short walk to the Central train Station and near all the sights of Cologne. I was only there for one night and did not get to experience the breakfast as we checked out before it was served, but they did provide me with a lunch box which included a ham and cheese sandwich, a banana and a water. There is coffee and boxed water 24 hours a day in the lobby. The beds were super comfortable and the temperature of the room was ideal, as we had control over the air conditioner, whereas other hotels we stayed in the same week, did not allow us control and we were very warm. The room we had was a nice size and the view was of the empty courtyard which was extrememly quiet and definitely highly desirable. Front staff upon checking in, was not friendly, however after check in everyone else we came in contact with was very friendly. I didn't get the ladies name at the front desk, but she definitely didn't give us a positive welcome. Glad her shift ended and everyone else we dealt with, and passed was extremely friendly and that is what the experience should be like.

Hotel ligt vlak bij de Dom en het centraal station in een rustige straat en beschikt over een eigen parkeergarage (tegen betaling) die wel vrij nauwe ingang en nauwe parkeerplekken heeft. We arriveerden tegen het middaguur; onze business comfort met 2 separate bedden kamer was reeds gereed. Inchecken verloopt snel en effectief in de kleine receptie. De kamer beschikt over een badkamer met baddouche en toilet. Er is een raam dat open kan. Ondanks dat de kamer aan de straatzijde op 1e etage ligt is deze rustig. Er is koffie thee op de kamer beschikbaar. Vlak naast de receptie ligt de grote ruimte waar het ontbijtbuffet met ruim voldoende keuze geserveerd wordt. Vanuit het hotel loop je binnen 5 minuten via de stationshal het stadscentrum met alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden (waaronder de Dom van Keulen) in. Er zijn voldoende restaurants in de omgeving; het hotel heeft geen restaurant voor lunch of diner.

Situated right next to Cologne Main Railway Station and across from Cologne Cathedral. Great central location. I had room on fourth floor, no external noise. Room cleaned every day. Air Con in room. Friendly helpful Staff. Breakfast (15 Euros) was very nice with a wide variety of food. For snacks there are plenty of places in the Railway station, which also has a small Supermarket. I will definitely choose this Hotel for my next visit to Cologne.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. Llegamos por la noche a este hotel, en la recepción había un señor que la verdad nos atendió de forma cordial y educada, a pesar de no hablar nada en español, nos entendimos en ingles. La primera impresión del hotel, es de una pensión, para nada lo catalogaría de hotel. El ascensor es de lo mas antiguo que yo me acuerdo ver. La llave de la habitación es un bloque de pesada, nada practica para llevártela. Alquilamos un coche, y la verdad que no encontramos problemas para aparcar cerca del ”hotel”. Cuando entramos en la habitación, lo primero que hice fue compararla con lo que había visto en la pagina del hotel en internet, difiere un poco sobre todo en la decoración pero para ser honesta con mi experiencia, la habitación para 3 personas es espaciosa, nos dieron una con vistas al exterior y luminosa, que se agradece muchísimo y el baño, bastante amplio, pero con defectos, de hecho según el plano que ponen detrás de las puertas era la mas grande de la planta. Al dia siguiente puedes ver mejor la habitacion, aparentemente limpia, sabanas limpias, baño limpio,.. pero SORPRESA!!! NOS ENCONTRAMOS UNA PRENDA DE ROPA INTERIOR SOBRE LA BUTACA QUE QUEDABA DEBAJO DEL ESCRITORIO. Madre mía!!!! casi me da algo. Sin embargo, la habitación estaba limpia, hasta la cortina del baño la habían puesto nueva, se notaba, tenia todavía los pliegues del doblado. Fui a comunicarlo a recepción, esperando como mínimo una disculpa y un que se yo, pero el comentario del recepcionista, un Sr bastante seco y desagradable y desde luego que no se caracterizaba por su cordialidad y simpatía y una Sra. rubia que estaba a su lado en la recepción , fue un ”Gracias” y coger el numero de la habitacion. Me quede en el mostrador esperando una reacción mas acorde con lo sucedido, pero nada, no la hubo. La habitación tiene el hueco para un refrigerador pequeño, pero no lo hay, las habitaciones no son insonorizadas, se escucha los golpes de los clientes de arriba y del pasillo, aunque debo decir que no fue lo habitual. Hace falta un cambio de colchones urgente, se hunden muchisimo. La bañera es altísima, y cuesta salir de ella. Ahora, lo positivo, la situación del hotel es muy buena, a 20 min caminando, llegamos a la catedral y centro histórico. Cerca de muchos restaurantes, que cierran bastante tarde. Wifi en el hotel. La habitación se limpiaba y se cambiaban las toallas todos los días. La moqueta relativamente limpia, la habitación con calefacción. La verdad y para finalizar, y viendo las cosas por el lado positivo como lugar de transito y para pasar la noche, porque el resto del día estamos fuera visitando los alrededores, no esta mal.

Bed was a twin but pushed together which suited us. The bathroom was bright and airy. Toiletries provided which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was help yourself to the buffet style. Lots of choice to suit all tastes. The location was ideal for getting about cologne, We are happy to walk everywhere but you can hire a bike, taxi , train and hop on and off bus. Get the train from the airport which will save on money. Just under €7 for two adults single fare. We really couldn’t fault our stay at this hotel.

The new restaurant in the Hotel Antonius is called, confusingly, Augustin. Newishly opened, it is very popular with Cologne people already and somewhat talked about, which is why it is weird that it doesn't have its own tripadvisor entry. So here goes. This is a nice space, dominated by a host of different lamps and chandeliers which I find a bit lampshoppy, but still nice. Reviews on other sites complain primarily that it's loud - our nice table wasn't. Service is a challenge these days in Germany (too many people fired during the pandemic); the one here was friendly and prompt, if sometimes forgetful. The menu is funny - the place bills itself as providing non-fancy German comfort food, but the prices are very gourmet. But we found the food much more elevated than the inverted claims suggest - bold, flavorful, really nice. Good portions too. Nice open wine selection, well-tempered. Altogether, a welcome addition to the Cologne food scene.

It was a very modern and clean stay. The room was nice and soundproof when the windows were closed. The bed was not the most comfortable bed for a hotel and a little noisy as if there was a plastic wrapping. So every time there was movement it would wake the other person up. But overall would recommend giving it a try! We are light sleepers and it might have been just the mattress in our room.

Friendly desk staff. Comfortable beds. No mini fridge in room. Rooms were provided with a bottle of water which was nice. Plenty of storage. The soap provided in the bathroom was of poor quality so definitely bring your own. Breakfast was ok. It seemed far too expensive for what it was- yogurt/bread/cheese/ eggs/ honey . One day we found mouldy yogurt/orange/crudités - they dealt with this swiftly and didn’t charge us for breakfast. Housekeeping didn’t come once during our 3 night stay. One of the chairs in our room had questionable stains on it. The gym looked very small and only had one set of weights and an elliptical machine. Overall a comfortable stay. More 3 star than 4 star hotel. Was conveniently situated close to good shops and restaurants.

Das Hotel liegt perfekt mitten in der Innenstadt, fünf Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof. Das Zimmer im 4. OG mit zwei Einzelbetten war wie bestellt, klein, aber ausreichend groß und mit einem kleinen Bad, das aber alles hatte, was es braucht. Einzig ein Kleiderschrank fehlte, aber mit Garderobe und Ablagemöglichkeiten geht es auch so für einen Kurzaufenthalt. Ein sauberes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und reichhaltig.

This is a good, solid hotel. Very clean room, comfortable bed, and the staff is friendly. The room faced a side street which was rather loud when sleeping with an open window. For a hotel chain that prides itself with its design, the room was a little boring ... which is fine, just clashed with the glossy design brochures that were inside the boring room. Maybe this was another hotel before it became a ”motel”? WiFi is fine. Breakfast was nice and good quality, but the breakfast area is a little bit small, and it gets very crowded during rush hour. Also, the breakfast choices are limited by unexpected vegan items. Vegan would be great as long as it does not try to imitate other food, and as long as there would be more vegetarian choices like more real cheeses available.

I have never been to a hotel where there was no staff present in the evening and had to collect the keys. It is interesting what COVID has done. Coming to the hotel, the location is not far from the train station - 10 min walk (longer if you are hauling luggage); once we reached, we collected the keys from the 'safe' outside the hotel. There was really no staff to guide us - it was easy getting to the room. The room was spotless and lovely in just white. A bed room plus a small separate lounge area which we found just perfect. The window overlooked the courtyard and had a fire escape access which we used as a balcony. Everything was good about the room expect the shower where the water pressure was low and was more like a sprinkler than a shower. Breakfast was actually nice - breads, coffee, cheese, fruits, eggs etc. The owners was helpful and chatty - I guess, we are all recovering and adapting to the COVID pandemic. Location wise, its perfect to get around anywhere by walking - to the Dom and surrounding areas or to the Zoo. Close to the river side as well. Stay there again, yes!

Basic hostel, cheap and cheerful ! I went here with a few mates when we went round Germany. Cheap and clean, loved the barstaff, Louise and Paulo? Lovely people and really down to earth. Other people who stayed were friendly too, would recommend if you're travelling on a budget
