As a practice I usually speak to several staff when I visit somewhere before making a genuine comment for the improvement of that organization. Seeing so many sad faces in this happy place, I deeply thought many times whether to write on this or not. Taking care of External Customers is a good thing as long as Internal Customers (your employees) also feel fairly treated. “Clients do not come first. Employees do. If you take care of your employees, naturally they will take good care of the clients.” Your staff doesn't look to be happy and as customers we can feel those things also. Note to management!

Try the new burgers. It’s phenomenal..!! Thanks to Chef Aqib & Zeeyard. They are superstars. Cafe staff inc barista’s are robin to their kitchens Batman (of course the chefs)! Okay. I’ve been an avid patron of TITO’s cafe in ground level at Marriott hotel Colombo. Always stuck to coffee and sometimes croissants. But the new and introduced burgers especially beef burger just too brilliant. The cheddar cheese, the bacon the burger the sauce’s just the right amount. Try the Spanish coffee or the cafe lattes ask for single shot of espresso! You would go wrong here.

That experience is very attractive . Roof top bar is little bit crowded in weekend . But bar staff provide quick service. Also Room has consist with modern features . And Room has bath tab . It is really nice. Overall experience is really worth for money.staff was very friendly. Hilton is in a nice location a short walk from the sea and Galle Face Hotel. We had an executive room with lounge access. There was obviously some refurbishment of some rooms going on as we heard the work in our room! We didn’t have a refurbished room and it was in need especially the bathroom which was very worn, old fashioned and lacking in comfort. It was clean but had a damp feel to it as did the room which was also tired looking. We had lounge access which was good and had been modernised. There was a small buffet in the evening and drinks. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was downstairs in the main restaurant and had a lot of choice although not much cereal selection. Hotel pool is external to the main grounds and you have to crossover the main road via a raised walkway. A nice pool area with bar and the fitness centre is also located here with good amount of equipment, a separate weights room to the running machines, cross trainers etc.

MMD AZNIThe staff name Shukri at front desk should'nt become a front desk officer. No respect to customer, very bad body languange, voice tone so rude when speaking to guest, not only toward me. Most concierge staff far much better customer service rather then this particular front desk officer. Overall stay was good except that particular staff attitude.

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

Room service was devine and we were hooked on the locally made kottu . Dinner and breakfast the next day was also very good with a variety of foods to choose.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The hotel amenities, including the on-site restaurant and fitness centre, added to the overall convenience of my stay.
One highlight was the impressive view from my room, overlooking the cityscape. It added a pleasant touch to the overall ambience of the hotel. While the decor might not be the most modern, it exuded a classic charm that complemented the overall atmosphere.
The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of options, catering to different tastes. The culinary offerings were satisfying, providing a decent start to the day.
However, it's worth noting that some areas of the hotel might benefit from a bit of updating, as certain furnishings showed signs of wear. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection could be inconsistent at times.
In conclusion, Mandarina Colombo offers a comfortable and convenient stay with friendly staff and decent amenities. It may not be the most luxurious option in Colombo, but it provides good value for those looking for well-located and welcoming accommodation.

PPengguna TetamuThis property is gorgeous with the old world charm and the food and cocktails are amazing too . But above all, they ace in hospitality. The staff , right from GM to everyone else are so warm, courteous and helpful and they go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable.I had a ligament tear in my ankle while in Srilanka and be it GM Mr. Siddique , Mr. Emmanuel, the bell boy Mr. Sujith, and the rest of the staff , they were all so supportive and caring that I was totally moved by the way they took care of me. Strongly recommend this place with its beautiful people to all and I will surely be staying here again when I visit Srilanka

This hotel is one that I am using as a base to visit and in many cases revisit the amazing sites and scenery that this island nation has to offer. My first visit was in 1975 and have become a fairly frequent visitor since The hotel that I am staying in on this occasion is worthy of the kindest and most appreciative comments that I can offer.The owner has assembled a wonderful crew to cater for the guests needs.The owner himself ensures that his own high standards are carried out on a daily basis. He offers the warmest of welcomes which I can have no doubt are sincere. The proximity of one of Sri Lanka’ s endless sandy beaches which offer safe swimming for any careful swimmer is an added bonus. Wildlife is on your doorstep and abounds in its wonderful bird life as well as a variety of lizards and a large number of the inevitable chipmunks that offer limitless entertainment. Undoubtedly a hotel I can thoroughly recommend ,

Although I'm tempted to mention the manager's name, I don't wish to jeopardize someone's livelihood. Instead, I strongly urge the hotel to focus on training their staff in handling situations professionally and courteously. Customers should never be treated poorly or made to feel worthless. This unfortunate incident occurred during my friend's engagement, which started off wonderfully but ended in disappointment due to a billing issue that was insignificant. There's a clear explanation for why this billing issue occurred, and I'd prefer not to discuss it in this review. However, I would gladly share the details with the senior management of the hotel. Moreover, I believe the hotel owes an apology to my friend, who had to endure this unpleasant experience on their special day. It's disheartening to think that what should have been a joyous celebration was marred by the behavior of a single employee. It's crucial to instill in your employees the understanding that customers should always be a top priority, and anyone within the premises should be treated as a valued customer. This experience has left a sour taste, and I sincerely hope that the hotel takes appropriate measures to address this. We genuinely want to continue enjoying this beautiful place without a single employee tarnishing the wonderful memories we once had.
