A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen. We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed. Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel. All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

As a practice I usually speak to several staff when I visit somewhere before making a genuine comment for the improvement of that organization. Seeing so many sad faces in this happy place, I deeply thought many times whether to write on this or not. Taking care of External Customers is a good thing as long as Internal Customers (your employees) also feel fairly treated. “Clients do not come first. Employees do. If you take care of your employees, naturally they will take good care of the clients.” Your staff doesn't look to be happy and as customers we can feel those things also. Note to management!

When we checked in and came to the room we found out dirty spots on the bed sheet and there was a huge pile of dirty pillows on the bed. Had a quick dinner at the japanese restaurant, but sat in the ground floor. Very good food. Big serving portions. Very good and friendly service by the hotel and restaurant staffs. Отличный комфортный отель со всем необходимым, кровать вообще супер. Есть рабочее место, интернет хороший. Было реально комфортно, неожиданно лучше чем на фото. Разрешили раннее заселение. Кондиционер, вентилятор, горячая вода, сейф. Не понравилось · Ощущение строгача какое-то только, требование платить в долларах (но принимают карты), затребовали сертификат вакцинации (это январь 2023, когда все отменили уже как 2 месяца), на дверях надписи что нельзя приводить гостей. После кучи добродушных гестхаусов показалось как-то слишком серьезно. Район немного странный, много бездомных., но ходил даже ночью, нормально обошлось. В целом тихо, но если кто-то в коридоре начинает разговаривать то шумно, персоналу лучше вести себя тише, особенно с утра

旅舍位於科倫坡市中心，在一條主幹道邊，比較好找。到貝塔和要塞區坐突突車大約500盧比，到水中寺不到300盧比，去機場包車是5000盧比。可以走路去國家博物館和周邊的幾個建築。穿過一條巷子看海邊火車也很近。馬路對面有個超市，附近有快餐店，還有個麥當勞。 房間不大，陳設簡潔，空調和衞浴都算好用，隔音好，挨着馬路的房間關上窗户聽不到外面車聲。早餐在4樓，有簡單的咖啡和麪包，水果，果汁，還可以點蛋餅或煎蛋。 工作人員熱情，我住了2晚，WIFI是給了密碼需要驗證，我有SIM卡就沒有用WIFI，電視不太會操作，沒看。床墊稍微有點塌，總體性價比算較高了。
