Dresden is such a beautiful city, it’s an emotional and moving place to visit and it far surpassed any expectations I had. The Saxons are so friendly as well, you like them immediately. The Hotel Bulow Palais is located in the stunningly beautiful baroque quarter, an authentic, historical area that escaped the destruction of the war. The hotel is a lovely, solid old school building that has been well maintained. The appointments are all tasteful and elegant and yet respect the ‘Relais & Châteaux’ character expected. The lovely room was quiet and ultra comfortable, and impeccably clean. I loved the turn down service and chocolate. I have to commend their housekeeping, not matter what time I stepped out, the room was perfectly made when I returned. Now the best part of the hotel was “Ignacio” at Reception. From the moment I arrived he handled everything perfectly. I learned afterwards there had been a slight delay in the transmission of my reservation from the booking agent to the hotel, Ignacio quietly picked up the fone and seamlessly handled the whole matter. He listened to my requests, especially for a quiet room, and again took care of it. He volunteered information about sightseeing which I was going to do, and even arranged the ticket at no additional charge. Such a friendly, warm and totally professional employee who knows his trade. Bravo, herzlich dank!

Let's start with the plusses then the minuses. On the plus side the location is perfect, directly in the main square and next to the famous Frauenkirche church. I like the fact the hotel offered free bike hire and a guest lounge with free coffee. On the minus side I was surprised a hotel that claims to be International has 50+ tv channels but not one of them in English (compare that with our next German hotel which offered BBC1/2, ITV1/2/3/4, C4 plus USA stations etc. Also there were no blackout curtains in the room and no kettle/drinks. You could get a drink in the guest lounge but not before 10am Breakfast was an eye watering 25 euro per person per day but there were ample places in the square offering hearty breakfasts for half that price. The hotel advertised a rooftop bar but this was simply a bar on the top floor. No views. Just a tiny balcony with no real views. Overall the hotel was nice, but really felt the TV, blackout curtains and room drinks were disappointing.

This hotel is located on the central square in the old city. The front desk staff is wonderful, very patient in making suggestions. One young woman, maybe Sina, helped me with a birthday dinner. She quickly understood the sort of place we wanted, suggested Lila Sosa, which was the perfect choice for us. We had a problem with the bathtub in our room. There was no tub mat and the tub was quite slippery. An accident waiting to happen. They upgraded us to another room for our second night, installed a portable grab bar and a tub mat. Breakfast was excellent, ample and fresh. Staff was great. Would definitely return again.

Die 5-Sterne-Eleganz eines historischen Hauses liess uns unseren kurzen Aufenthalt in Dresden vollauf geniessen. Sehr gute Lage nahe bei den Hauptattraktionen Dresdens, Valet-Service sorgt für problemloses Parken. Unser Palais Superior Zimmer war hochwertig und elegant eingerichtet, allerdings schon einen Tick verwohnt – was aber erklärbar ist, denn ab Januar 2023 wird das Palais für etwa 6-8 Monate für ausführliche Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen. Wir gehörten also zu den letzten Gästen, was uns das ausnahmslos sehr freundliche Personal aber nicht merken liess. Zu bemängeln sind eigentlich nur die etwas zu kleine 80x80cm-Dusche, deren Duschtür immer störend zurückpendelte – eine Schiebetür wäre besser gewesen. Und die kleine Spinne, die uns beim Zurückschlagen der Bettdecke anlächelte… Wir kommen nach der Renovierung gerne wieder!

We were in town for the Christmas markets which is one of Germany's best. Well, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay than here. The hotel opens directly upon the central square which is where one of the markets is located. The other major market is just a few steps further across the street. Unfortunately, we weren't given a view room and our room really didn't have a view, but it was comfortable with all the amenities you might expect. We were traveling by car so a big plus was the underground public garage with direct elevator access to the hotel.

來德累斯頓，選擇入住Holiday Inn原因有以下： 1）服務：作為IHG旗下酒店，服務水準穩定。 checkin時前台會提前告知目前客户到店情況，耐心詢問客户對房間的需求，若提前到酒店會讓客户加入IHG會員享受提前入住。 每天早上去餐廳吃飯能看到不同的服務員禮貌地但不讓我尷尬地打招呼； 走廊裏碰到house keeping也會禮貌地打招呼。 2）衞生：每日打掃房間、更換浴巾、續上新的茶包和咖啡。 餐廳客人吃完後不久，服務員就將餐桌收拾得乾乾淨淨，地上沒有麪包碎，自助餐桌上也擦得乾乾淨淨沒有油漬醬油漬茶漬。 3）設施：酒店內温暖如春，房間內也有暖氣和空調。房內洗手間很大，花灑水壓很舒服，水温也很舒服。在外一天回來，能洗個熱水澡真的太舒服啦～ 4）環境：酒店坐落於老城區外的一條小街上，晚上很安靜。步行至茨温格宮3分鐘，步行至聖母大教堂10分鐘。酒店100米不到有一家川菜館，偏成都口味（麻），很好吃喔！

Es ist ein tolles Hotel , der Service ist top. Die Hotel Crew ist freundlich . Das Frühstücksbüffet ist reichhaltig und frisch. Die Zimmer sind groß und freundlich eingerichtet. Die Lage ist so das man die City auch fussläufig und ca 10 min erreichen kann. Wir konnten unser Auto in der Tiefgarage parken für 12 die Nacht , ich denke auf der Straße mit Parkschein wären wir teurer gekommen und es hätte nicht so sicher gestanden. Wir sind zufrieden und werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen . Danke an das Hotelteam !!!!!

This hotel is in a charming traditional baroque area of the Neustadt rather than the tourist dominated Altstadt. The area is quiet and our room especially so because it overlooked the inner courtyard. Bedrooms are a good size with traditional styling matching the era of the building. Our bathroom was adequately equipped but disappointingly small for a hotel of this quality. Our main, and fundamental, criticism of this hotel was that breakfast was not available in its own breakfast room as stated on its website and booking confirmation. It was instead provided at the neighbouring sister hotel, the Bulow Palais; fortunately for us the weather was chilly but fine for the morning 150m walk. The enhanced Palais breakfast was superb, with exemplary table service for cooked meals and a huge variety of delicacies at the buffet. It was provided at the Residenz price but that does not make this unannounced change acceptable. With online communications available, we should at least have been told about the changed breakfast arrangements in advance; failure to communicate is unacceptable in this standard of hotel. Accordingly, and at best, we can therefore only rate it average.

Wir haben eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht. Es ist sehr neu und sauber. Die Lage direkt an der Elbe ist hervorragend um die Innenstadt von Dresden  zu besuchen. Zu Fuß ist man in einer halben Stunde entlang der Elbe da, aber auch eine Straßenbahn bringt einen schnell in die Innenstadt. Direkt vor der Tür ist eine Haltestelle. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr gut. Der Frühstücksraum war etwas überfüllt, da sehr viele Gäste im Hotel waren. Dennoch haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen.  Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist und haben einen kostenfreien Parkplatz gegenüber vom Hotel auf dem alten Schlachthofgelände gefunden.

Very nice atmosphere, very nice people at the reception. There is a lot of space in the rooms as well as in the corridors. Everything seemed to me clean and in a good condition. I really recommend this hostel - also as it is very nicely situated in the most interesting and vibrant part of Dresden. The online check-in option seemed to me a little bit buggy still but anyway it finally worked and might have saved some time at the reception. Be aware that if you pay at the reception you might need to pay in cash...

Except that we were confronted at check-out that the requested accessible room is not available, everything was perfect in the hotel. I was hesitating to give 5 stars, because at the reception the lady was very helpful and changed the room directly to one with shower. Note: the shower was not a walk in shower, but the person had to make a ca. 10 cm high step to get it and the door to the bathroom was ca. 65 cm wide, so the small child wheelchair just fitted. She also informed later when we met her if it was OK. However this should not happen and the hotel should have informed us upfront. ++ Friendly staff, it is clear they select well who they employ. Top! All staff we met could also work in a 5* hotel. ++ Beautiful hotel and room. We got one on the first floor, I know the hotel was recently renovated). Good sound isolation, so we could sleep well, although next to the road. ++ Delicious breakfast as you would expect from a 4* hotel. ++ Great location, next to the bridge to walk to Altstadt. All in one, we plan to return. Thanks!
