Amazing experience from A to Z Arrived at Hotel with fantastic parking spaces and ability to charge the car. Receptionist upon check-in have been super accommodating and professional, she was helpful, smiley and very complimenting thank you Pauline!!! Room was immaculate, contained very sustainable material with amazing and spacious layout and fantastic view. Huge thanks to all housekeeping staff without exception. They prepared baby cot to our daughter with bathrobe, slippers and shampoo, conditional and lotion with some wonderful toys as well!! During the stay, they did a wonderful job day in day out with refreshing and preparing a very welcome room. Huge thanks to the F&B team at both bar and room service. They placed amazing fruits basket upon arrived with a lovely letter. Bar staff, they were smiley, professional and very accommodating, playing with our daughter and asking always if we needed help etc and making the best food and drinks with special shout-out to Eike for being amazing dusting our visits! Breakfast staff were very nice despite how busy the area is during that weekend and they have ensured to seat it somewhere quiet and prepare baby seat for our daughter, they were attentive with coffee, eggs and everything else, thank you for your hard work! Lobby, wonderful and luxury layout with amazing atmosphere, concierge / bellman Bashir or Rachid ( please excuse my spelling) was a very wonderful guy, he was chatty and funny even our daughter was running toward him, you are so kind! Lastly, we had to checkout after amazing stay to be helped by one in a million receptionist her name is Paula if am not mistaken on 28th May around 13:00! Location is fantastic, hotel is wonderful and everything else is spot on. Suitable for families, corporates and leisure!! Thank you to all the staff!!!!

We went there for a long weekend and we had a fantastic time at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and very efficient. The duty manager Mr. Mueller had done on fantastic job on us so traveling with a toddler was easy. Very nice food as well - room service was quite fast and breaky was yummy. Don't forget to visit little Tokio - stunning restaurants there. Ask the famous concierge for recommendations - he knows where to go. We had a fab time so thanks to all who make it happen!!!

A somehow strange experience, as so ambivalent. Pros: Very beautiful building, castle-like with high ceilings. Rooms are beautiful and well equipped, including the bathroom (shower is great). Perfect location, at the edge of the famous Altstadt (old town) and very close to the river Rhein. Cons: They have clearly issues with the service personnel. We arrived very late, shortly before midnight. I wanted to call the hotel to give them a heads up, in order to avoid them giving the room away. I had to call 3 times (at around 10 pm), and to wait like 10 minutes in the line, until someone finally attended the phone. Next morning, same experience with the room service. No one cleaned the room, despite us putting the ”please clean” sign at the door knob between 10 am and 1 pm. I had to ask the reception around 4 pm to please get the room serviced. The most annoying thing were the curtains. You have the fine transparent white curtain, and the heavy black-out curtain. The latter is so short, that it only covers half the window. In the moment the sun rises, it is as bright as day in the room (I am talking about room 223, in case the management is reading this). You either have an eye mask, or you are done with sleeping. Finally an advice: Despite the location, the hotel is very quiet. However, if you are in a room facing the road (most rooms don't), you will get your dose of old town-party noise, at least at the weekend.

Very nice hotel right in the center of Dusseldorf. Staff is very friendly and rooms were large and clean. We traveled with our 3 year old and there was plenty of room for him to play. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was the usual European style breakfast buffet with yummy food The hotel has dedicated indoor parking, which is very helpful in such a busy city. This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in and I would definitely stay here again in the future. In terms of local activities, it was easy to reach the waterfront, old center, shops and the park from the hotel. We were also able to visit all chrismas markets easily by foot from the hotel.

Friendly staff that all spoke English. The location felt safe and was very quiet but still central. The room was nice enough and had enough space, and the hotel was comfortable with some artistic design. My room faced towards the direction of the old town but was silent at night, and quiet during the day even with the windows wide open. Plenty of hot water, but the towels were small and cheap. A coffee expresso machine in the room with coffee but no tea. The hotel looked a bit tired in places but nothing to worry about and repairs were ongoing. Unfortunately the advertised computer I needed was missing apparently broken. This was unacceptable and my only real complaint. No garden seating area. The breakfast was good with enough to choose from including hot food, but it finished early at 10:30. The English black tea wasn’t and was horrible, so British tea drinkers bring tea yourself. If passing I’d stay here again for sure.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was adequate. The staff were polite and accommodating as we did arrive earlier and managed to get a room and we were also very kindly and free of charge granted a later check out. The location is certainly central and there is easy access to public transport. However, this is not a boutique hotel, at least in the rooms themselves. While the communal areas looked nicely decorated and stylish, our room did not in the slightest meet the same standard. We stayed in room 336 and allow me to itemise a few maintenance items that need attending to: reading light not working as was damaged; side lamp only had the one bulb, tiles in bathroom about to come loose and clearly a lovely water stain by the air con vent. None of these impeded a comfortable sleep or an adequate stay, however they did make the room look tired and not worth its value. Ah and when got a call to the room we were unable to take said call as the phone cord came loose. We attempted to put it back but still the phone would not work. We were prepared for the room being small and it certainly was small and did the job, Lastly, If parking on site do be prepared for tight corners and bends. Anything larger than a Mini does require some manoeuvring and care, you may well come out of the parking with scratches on your side, as you will notice by the many scratches left by previous drivers on the walls.

Decent hotel considering quite a few location sold out in January for the Dusseldorf hbf area. The building is old and the hotel is not spectacular but this should not be the reason for you not to stay here especially if costs are your priority-like me but German hotel prices have shot up recently. The station is 10 minutes walk. Everything in room worked, including the roomsafe which uses the old style 1 euro coin. The shower was small but it did work, the room was clean. German hotels do tend to have very thin beds width and length wise when booking singles, this was true of my room. I did not have breakfast but there was a dining room there and a drinks machine- though I had my snacks from the rail station supermarket as Dusseldorf was a nightstop rather than me visiting the city. I be here again soon.

This hotel is a bit strange, lackluster, and has a feeling of desertedness. Young man who checked me in was very unpersonal, bit robotic. Lady at front desk was more friendly as were some other staff. Staff at breakfast and bar also okay. Knew it wasn't near the city center, but had hoped for a more energetic place as has been my experience at the Courtyard Marriott (in other international cities). Quite the opposite. Room faced brick wall and I paid full price. I stayed several nights and there was limited customer service. Housekeeping was a joke! The room was spacious, but then again, this was paid for. To end on a positive note, when checking out, I noticed the complimentary fruit and juice in the lobby which is a nice touch.

Wir hatten einen Gutschein von Jochen Schweizer in diesem Hotel eingelöst und eine Übernachtung inkl. Frühstück erhalten. Das moderne Hotel liegt im Medienhafen von Düsseldorf ca. 15-20 Gehminuten von der Innenstadt entfernt. Am Rhein entlang ist es ein schöner Spaziergang bei gutem Wetter. Wir sind etwas früher gegen 13 Uhr angereist und durften freundlicherweise direkt einchecken und in unser Hotelzimmer gehen. Das hatte uns sehr gefreut. Unser Fahrzeug konnten wir im benachbarten Hotel parken. Der Parkplatz wird von beiden Hotels verwendet. Für ca. 25€ pro Tag aber ein stolzer Preis. Die Zimmer sind wie das Hotel selbst sehr modern eingerichtet. Wir hatten einen schönen Ausblick auf den Medienhafen (11. Etage). Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, die Minibar (Bier, Säfte und Wasser) war inklusive. Zusätzlich gibt es die Möglichkeit, sich mit Kapseln einen Kaffee oder Espresso zuzubereiten. Seife, Bodylotion, Duschgel und Shampoo stehen in Mehrwegbehältern zur Verfügung. Das Badezimmer an sich ist relativ offen gestaltet. Die Toilette ist in einem kleinen separaten Raum abschließbar. Das Bett empfanden wir leider als viel zu klein (ca. 160 cm) und auch als unbequem. Auch die Kissen waren eher ungemütlich. Das Zimmer an sich war zwar sehr sauber. Jedoch waren hier und da einige Flecken zu sehen oder enorme Gebrauchsspuren. Die Toilettenbrille sollte dringend ausgetauscht werden, die war total vergilbt. Wir hatten bei unserem Aufenthalt leider nicht daran gedacht, uns Wasser mitzunehmen oder welches in der Stadt zu besorgen. Im Zimmer standen zwar zwei Flaschen bereit (0.25 ml). Welche für uns aber nicht ausreichend waren. In der Lobby konnte man sich genau diese Wasserflaschen für 3€ pro Flasche kaufen. Am Abend hatten wir in der Hotelbar noch einen leckeren Cocktail getrunken bei schöner Aussicht. Das lohnt sich, wenn auch der Preis etwas hoch ist. Das Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend. Die Auswahl war gut.

I just arrived for a long term accommodation and I was astonished from the atmosphere . The staff is so kind , helpful and friendly any request or question you have you get a clear answer . The room is very nice has its small kitchen set place full of sun and quiet. Price is very reasonable even I can say it’s quite challenging all other offers in the city . Das a&o Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof befindet sich, wie der Name schon sagt, unweit des Düsseldorfer Hauptbahnhofes. Bei unserem Besuch war das Zimmer sauber und ruhig, sodass sich das Hotel in meinen Augen definitiv für einen Städtetripp eignet. Ich kann das Hotel also definitiv weiterempfehlen.
