I’m extremely disappointed with the state of the gym and spa facilities at Merchants Manor. When I first joined, I expected a clean, well-maintained environment, but unfortunately, it has gone rapidly downhill. First and foremost, the presence of black mould in the spa area is completely unacceptable—it’s both unpleasant and a serious health hazard. The jacuzzi has never worked , with no clear sign of when (or if) it will be fixed. There is also no sauna, despite this being advertised as part of the facilities. The decking outside is dangerously slippery, making it an accident waiting to happen ( I see accidents out there a lot and slip most days ). Myself and others have asked numerous times for the management to sort out a rubber mat to walk across but nothing has happened.To make matters worse, the two deck chairs provided are covered in black mould, making it impossible to use them comfortably. And yet, despite all these issues, management has decided to increase membership prices by 30%! It’s outrageous to demand more money when the quality of service is rapidly declining. I strongly urge potential members to look elsewhere until these issues are properly addressed. I certainly won’t be recommending this place unless serious improvements are made.
