Hotel berhampiran Palais du Tresor, Fez

Quelle découverte ce Riad complètement remis à neuf mélangeant modernité et style Marocain de très bon goût en pleine Médina! Accueil super sympa de la part de Marjorie et Pascal. Également de très bon conseil quant à la visite de Fès et de sa Médina avant notre arrivée et pendant notre séjour et l'organisation de celle-ci. Chambres très confortables et salle-de-bain top. Très peut de bruit émanant de la Médina. On y dort bien. Repas du soir et petit-déjeuner avec vue sur la Médina du haut de la terrasse. Super couscous. Top encore une fois. En principe pas de consommation d'alcool dans la Médina mais il y a toujours le magasin Carrefour dans la nouvelle ville. Nous remercions Marjorie et Pascal pour leur convivialité, leur amabilité et leur engouement à nous recevoir. Et a nous dépanner à retrouver nos motos pour la suite de notre périple au Maroc. Au niveau parking de motos il y a sur demande la possibilité de les garer en lieu sûr. Philippe, Jean et Monique

The Riad itself is truly lovely & the public areas & rooms are just as pictured & very impressive in decoration. The owner obviously has a good eye for details which is evident throughout the property which is a visual masterpiece overall. Good housekeeping is found in the lobby/courtyard & rooms but was shockingly ignored on the rooftop terrace which was not just rundown but filthy. Old, rundown, rust-covered, dirty seating cushions laying on the floor. Furniture that had not been cleaned in months perhaps & trash laying on the floor. When we expressed our shock to the manager-on-duty who was unfailingly polite & courteous & eager to help, he claimed there had been rain 2 days prior which was the reason for the unsightly terrace condition, but what we experienced was weeks-to-months of inattention to housekeeping & detail. The furniture cushions did not become as dirty as we saw in only 2 days & the furniture condition spoke volumes about a lengthy lack of attention, as did the poor terrace housekeeping. Was also totally unimpressed by the quality of the bed linens but want to specifically compliment the owner on high-quality plumbing fixtures, which WORK without experiencing any unpleasant problems. Also one of the best breakfast offerings we experienced in 9 days in Morocco, with top quality service to match. Be forewarned that if you plan to eat dinner at Al Bartal you MUST make a reservation in advance. Even though there were only 4 occupied rooms during our stay & we asked at 4:00PM to make a dinner reservation for 7:30 that evening, we were told it was not possible. Yet we only saw 2 tables of 2 persons each actually eating during the evening. Strange. We strolled 5 minutes around the corner to the spectacularly beautiful Palais Faraj for dinner, which is a MUST visit when in Fes. Overall, we enjoyed Riad Al Batal which is definitely a lovely, beautifully decorated choice in Fes, but ”details” make a huge difference. Convenient location only 1/2 bock from 1 of the old Medina's entrance gates.

A private and beautiful hotel outside the Medina, Hotel Sahrai is a good choice for travellers looking to reside outside the hustle and bustle of the old city. The amenities provided were top class though the breakfast selection and dinner quality could be improved upon. The hotel sits on top of a hill and the rooftop provides a beautiful view of the old medina and Jewish quarters. This is a good choice if you have a lot of luggage as cars are not allowed to drop you in Riads inside the Medina.

I stayed there for 2 days. My room was ready and clean. The bed was comfy. Breakfast is good buffet with many items. I liked it. They have a big garden with a nice pool. I took a fresh local bear in this garden and a good chicken tajine with vegetables and olives.

I spent three nights at this hotel in January of this year-2024.The room was very good-clean and serviced daily.Sleep quality was excellent....However,breakfast was not included in the price and at MAD100 I feel that it was very expensive...MAD50 would have been more than enough....WiFi in my room was very patchy at times making it very difficult to get work done...I did complain but there was no improvement...Meryem at reception who handled check-in was friendly and helpful...The staff in the dining room at breakfast were less so and could have been more friendly.....For the price I paid I was disappointed and expected more...It was just about average

Hotel di livello, con servizio impeccabile e ristoranti molto accoglienti e rilassanti. Iniziamo dalla location: a Fes, un po' fuori il centro storico ( e questo è un bene) in un'area ricca di vegetazione. L'hotel si presenta molto ben curato, la hall e molto ampia e il servizio di accoglienza davvero perfetto. Le camere sono pulite e ben arredate, letti king e queen comodi, aria condizionata funzionante alla perfezione. Insomma, una bella scoperta, anche dal prezzo accessibile per chi cerca un servizio di un certo livello.
