Very nice place to stay! They have clean rooms, helpful and friendly stuff and different extra activities like a swimming pool, bar, rooftop space and so on. I would recommend to add a breakfast to your booking because it’s fresh and delicious.

We stayed here 3 nights. In a great position within a short walk to railway station and in the heart of Florence near the lovely River. The room was very spacious and clean with tea making facilities, a comfy bed, rooftop views, TV and felt warm and homely. The breakfast was good with lots of fresh produce to choose from. We'd definitely stay here again if in Florence. Would of given 5 stars had the lift not been a floor short of our room but I do understand why as it's an old building with loads of character and style. We did have a nice lobby room to sit in. The reception staff were excellent.

I had problems trying to find a hotel in Florence at short notice and ended up booking a room at this hotel. First I should explain that this hotel is on the second and third floor of a building. I was given a room by the stairs, which by the way are made of wood I think, so the noise of people going up and down was terrible. There is a lift, but it will only take you from the ground floor to the reception, so if you have a suitcase and you are given a room on the third floor, you have to drag it up the stairs, near to where my room was. My room was big enough, with 2 single beds, and a bathroom almost the same side of the room, painted in red! and very dark, even with the light on. The room and bathroom were clean and my linen and towels were changed every day. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meat, etc. Unfortunately the reception area was dirty. There are 2 or 3 settees with a material cover, which has not been washed for some time. The location of this hotel is excellent. 15 mns to the Duomo and 30 mns to the Ponte Vecchio. The guys at the reception were very helpful, polite and one of them, on the night shift, (regrettably I did not ask his name) never stopped smiling. Great service. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes but make sure you are giving a room away from the stairs.

A fabulous hotel, from the excellent staff to the wonderful facilities and the location. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Particularly Roberto, Ariana and Simone. The spa is excellent, and although we only used the pool, it was a must after walking in the Florence heat in August! The hotel is a small distance from the old city, but we’d recommend the “members club”, which costs €10 per day per adult (over age 12). The mini trolley only takes 15 minutes-ish into town, and is a great way to get a feel for the city. Pick ups can be arranged at reception. Breakfast was good, and we had one of the adjoining apartments for a family of four. All the rooms and facilities are modern and clean, even if the shower is a bit quirky! Overall we would highly recommend Hotel Grifone. There is a sister hotel to the west of the old town where you are welcome to rest, use WiFi etc etc. Highly recommended.

This location is really convenient if you need to take the flight to domestic airlines or other countries, just few minutes by taxi or trans. Don’t forget to make a reservation if you take early flight. The staff is also very helpful when we need to leave the luggage at the hotel. The great hotel is overrated at 4 stars. Only the lobby was 4 stars. I feel there it should be between two and three stars. It is a functional out of town hotel that serves group tourism or those travelling with their own cars.. They are no restaurants close to the hotel Hindi hotel restaurant itself offered no vegetarian choices beyond the ministrone soup. Proposed hotel they was no electric kettle to make tea. The two elevators are far too insufficient for the guest load and we had to wait several minutes just go up.

This is an excellent option to stay near Florence. It is 10 minute waking from a train station. The hotel super clean and it is to the American standards. We arrived at 11:30 pm at the Prato train station because of the floods in Bologna with no taxis in site and the guy from the front desk when the extra mile and when to get us in the station SUPER SERVICE!… the experience with this hotel was excellent… I fully recommend it since the hotels in Florence are a lot more expensive

Ttung tung shamDuring my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Anglo American Hotel. Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful, and I would gladly recommend it to fellow travelers.
First and foremost, the location of the Anglo American Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Florence, it offers easy access to the city's major attractions, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel's central location made it convenient for me to explore the city on foot and truly immerse myself in its rich history and culture.
The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.
My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff.
While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of local cheeses and cured meats.
One minor drawback was the absence of a fitness center or spa facilities within the hotel. However, the staff was helpful in providing information about nearby fitness centers and wellness options, ensuring that guests have access to these amenities if desired.
In summary, my stay at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was a delightful experience. The prime location, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations contributed to a memorable visit to this beautiful city. PPengguna TetamuWe stayed for 3 nights in April, the Hotel was clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely without exception. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff and room service were friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. Our room was at the rear of the hotel (204) with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The view was nothing special as it overlooked the rear of other properties but it was nice and comfortable and very quite. There is a Spa that you can book for your exclusive use. This is sometimes included in your deal but otherwise is 25 euros each for 50 minutes and well worth it. The view from the roof top is superb and you can get a drink from the reception bar and take it up there or even take your own bottle of wine! Breakfast centres mainly on pastries, fruits and meats. There is a “hot” option of eggs and bacon but is only ever warm at best. However, the pastries are very nice and more than enough available. It also has to be the most convenient trip I have ever experienced from Airport to hotel! Exit the airport turn left and walk to the tram stop about a minute away. Take the T2 tram to UNITA and get off at Rosselli. That’s it!, it takes about 20 minutes and when the t4am leave you will be facing the hotel. It cost 1.50 euros each. You can buy the tickets on the tram platform but I would visit the shop Hudson as others have mentioned on here and get them there as there can be a queue to get your ticket on the platform. Don’t forget to slide it into the machine to validate it when you board. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk for the “Dome” in the centre and about 25 minutes to the bridges on the river. There are some excellent restaurants such as Casa Ciabattini and Osteria Vecchio Cancellous within 6/7 minute walk both of which I would highly recommend. I would not hesitate to return.

PPengguna TetamuWe spent 3 night in 3 different cities on our trip. This was our favorite hotel on our trip. Beds were super comfy and the place was very clean. The staff went above and beyond for us as we asked for recommendations for restaurants and they made reservations for us and sent us text messages once they were confirmed. The best part about this place is the courtyard. Gorgeous. We would grab a drink at the bar and then go out to the courtyard to enjoy it. There is a hot tub out there as well but we did not use it. Bartenders were all very friendly. The location is perfect. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle but more than close enough to walk to everything, which we did. No need for public transportation to get to and from the hotel. High recommend!

AAnuradhaBreakfast can be much better. It is an expensive hotel but their breakfast buffet doesn't have fresh fruit, poor cheese selection and they also don't serve multi grain bread.
For some reason, i felt like the staff were serving the Europeans faster.
Also, at the hotel reception, the staff will give you incorrect information regarding the city tours and hotels. Please be careful

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel couldn’t be better. Participants have their own apartment which comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Even if you are on your own, pop for a one bedroom for a extra room. This is especially nice for a long stay. I had a room on the ground level. It opened up to the patio which has a nice sitting area and tables and chairs. I often took my lunch out there, or a drink after a hard day touring in historic Florence. People do smoke out there, but not very much. The rooms are clean, clean, clean and there is housekeeping service every three days. Linens are bright white. The property is located a block away from the T2 Tram Line which gets to the historic area in about 10 minutes. I would stay here again.

AAlexandre P MagalhaesAbsolutely amazing service and rooms. Everyone in the hotel was super helpful and nice. Totally sold on the hotel and indeed the whole network of ”The Social Hub” hotels, it's now my first choice for traveling accomodations.

PPengguna TetamuI loved this quirky old hotel. It is old fashioned in the best possible sense; very well situated close to the train station, the Duomo and the centre of Florence - so a perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms could do with some refurbishment but are air conditioned, kept very clean, and everything works. Doubles are generous in size, single rooms are small. Breakfast is continental with cheese, ham, muesli, croissants, cake, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and detox water. Most importantly, the staff here were unfailingly courteous and helpful. They really could not do enough for us, from letting me borrow an adapter, to recommending excursions, booking taxis, and accommodating a late check out. There are trendier, more modern hotels in the area, but that is reflected in the price - you get what you pay for.

JJodence CLocation just opposite from station. Service is great and fast. However, my room to lift is too far. There is a lot of lifts but there is only one lifts u can get to lobby. Also there is a small step make me fall down when I reach there , I think hotel need to take alert into it .

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel was perfectly located, like right in the centre. 1 minute walk to the Dome.
I really enjoyed my stay in Florence.
The staff was nice. The hotel was fairly clean and the shower was really good.
However, the bed was horrible. I felt every mattress spring on my whole body, it was very uncomfortable.
Not to mention the walls are paper thin. I stayed 4 nights and the first 2 were fine. However, the last 2 nights a Brazilian couple checked in to the room next door, and I could hear EVERYTHING they said or did as if they were in my room standing next to me. I had to use a white sound machine to black out their noise.
Important to mention, they don't turn on the heat or AC unit until later November (according to what the staff said), and it was cold during the night.
Also, I got assigned a room in the last floor: floor 4. And there's no elevator and the stairs are steep. So I had to climb 4 floors with my suitcase which was kind of a struggle.
Other than that, I would really recommend this hotel because of the price and the location. There's a lot of good restaurants across from the hotel too.
