Tugay Hotel

Room absolutely filthy. Photos available. Promised deep clean did not resolve issues despite being supposedly carried out twice. No door on shower resulted in bathroom being covered in water. The floor was slippery & very dangerous. As a solo traveller I had no-one to realise if I had slipped due to this problem. Owner refused us bringing in nibbles during England semi-final, pointing to hotel rules. Then 2 days later a full blown meal with food & alcohol brought in from outside was allowed and participated in by owners. Kids firing water pistols around the pool hitting us on sunbeds. Kicking balls end to end across & in the pool. Hitting 1 of my friends on head who was lying on a sunbed. Owner did nothing despite the pool rules. AVOID

Text: You get what you pay for basic but comfortable clean rooms comfortable beds extra pillows on request. Air-conditioning as most places payable but worth it. Fridge in room ideal for drinks and snacks. The place is a little tired and would benefit from a little TLC. That said staff are welcoming and friendly and very accommodating. Every guest seems to know each other if you like that kind of thing that's fine we met some nice people. You do need to cross a busy road to reach the ***** and the beach this can be tricky. Sunbeds, there is a mix of old and newer beds perhaps replace the older beds as the newer ones got taken quite early in the morning, plenty of parasols, they all looked very new. All in all a good stay would I stay again yes but only if the price was right

The earlier bad reviews are true in every respect. I will start with the positive, we met many lovely people who we bonded with as we were disgusted with the standard of this hotel. The poor cleanliness, the broken dirty sun loungers and overgrown pool patio area with stray cats was very uncomfortable to sit at. The staff with the exception of Tarkam were very lazy and unfriendly. At the pool the Turkish children had no supervision and enjoyed hitting us with footballs, waterguns and advocados that fell from the trees overlooking the pool. The pool was closed one day when a British child discovered poo at the bottom of it, we were so grateful he made this discovery! If you are asking yourself how can it be so bad? Trust me it can.

3rd Stay here it's a Budget Hotel but we have never had a problem.....we opted for a large attic room this year which was very roomy ....cleaned most days towels sheets changed every second day.....basic breakfast 10 min walk to beach front bars etc .....I know there were complaints when we were there about doors banging but people come at all hours and it's hard not to bang the door.....only at the Pool end of day as beach is so close but its very clean...yes there are dated loungers etc but am sorry if you want 5 Star then you have to pay 5 Star prices

Very disappointed and misleading from jet 2 .Booked a superior room on arrival we were given room 107 damp dingy cramped room at the rear . This hotel is in definite need of money spending on it . Old furniture in rooms (too much can't move or open doors well ) poor cleanliness . Ignorant owner only interested in the Turkish clients. Couldn't understand why there was a fridge in this room with a sign saying it is forbidden to bring food or drink into the hotel .that was a joke as the so called bar had poor offerings and the food at the hotel was also very low quality. Had breakfast once didn't bother again and the snacks sold juring the day very limited and not good. A group of long repeat clients asked if they could bring snacks in to watch the football as the hotel has nothing to offer in an evening and was told no. Yet the owner allowed the Turks to bring food in and sit at the tables eating. Cleanliness of the hotel was substandard the pool area furniture needs dumping the gardens were not tended too and weeds everywhere along with many stray cats . I felt for the rep who came a few times as she had an awful lot of complaints every time she turned up . Calis beach area is beautiful just stay clear of this hotel .

Was provided with a superior double where there was enough room to swing a cat. Just as well they were all around the hotel. In estate agent speak it was a spacious double with extra single room, balcony and garden views. In real terms it was crammed. You couldnt open the wardrobe as it hit the bed. You coudnt open the balcony door without it being in the way of the double bed With a view of a wall . It was that small you couldnt sit face to face without hitting your knees Signage everywhere. No food or drink in the rooms even though theres a fridge Stains must be paid for even though the towels are 50 shades of grey. Water stained ceilings and a shower that worked like an uncontrollable hosepipe flooding the bathroom as there was only drainage hole in the shower cubicle Bed uncomfortable Sunbeds could have originally been on the titanic and the newer ones had split cushioning There was rubbish growing everywhere Insect repellent a must Food well dont get me started there. Favouritism shown to the turkish as we werent allowed to bring our food into the hotel and yet the turkish were allowed to do as they wished. Swimming after time. Being vocal at 2am in the morning and yet we were told to be quiet chatting outside Dont waste your money theres a better campsite near the beach
