Highest praise to this inn’s fantastic staff, specially Carla, Sigi, Yuki, and Amana! They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant: booking cabs, helping us book a bus tour (Japanese only website), and always accommodating. Their English was very good, so communicating was easy. Thank you! This is not a hotel: it is an inn, and the room is more a bedroom in a house, but charming. Breakfast is good, with the main course plated; no choices (so don’t expect a buffet). What was a nice surprise was a daily late afternoon cocktails (they call it “welcome drinks”) which lasts until late in evening, and includes whisky, wines, juice, and yogurt milk. And daily free coffee (espresso type) which was particularly good! The free shuttle pick up and drop off when you check in and check out is very useful, and saves you the price of 2 cab rides (approx US$22). Be warned on Furano Station: no elevator, so you need to climb up then down steep stairs to get to the platform! Not easy with big luggages! Negatives: while room was charming and large by Japan standards, the bathroom was tiny, so if you are a plus size, you bathe with your body hitting the shower curtain or wall. Location is far from everything, so you need to take cabs all the time, with each 1-way trip to the town center costing approx. US$9-10. Nearest convenience store is maybe 15mins away, and an uphill climb back. The onsen (traditional Japanese bath) is an artificial hot springs, but a pleasant experience. A charming town, and I would consider going back to this inn if I go back to Furano.

We stayed at North Country Inn for two weeks as part of a Whiteroom tour. The rooms were huge by Japanese standard and the futon beds were just as big (super king?). The beds are a little hard by western standards but after a day of skiing I still managed to get good night sleeps. Rooms only have green tea so if you want anything else you’ll have to purchase in Japan or bring your own. There is a tv but it only has Japanese channels. The restaurant serves a fantastic buffet breakfast with muesli, toast, yogurt options as well as salads, curries, bacon, eggs, spaghetti bol, soups, potato wedges and breads etc. The staff that run this place are what make it. Their English is pretty limited but with google translate and hand gestures you can get by. Everyone is so helpful and always has a smile and willing to help where they can. There is a small lounge where you can sit with others but the bar doesn’t open until 6pm when the restaurant opens. There is a vending machine that sells beer and strong zero (alcoholic lemonade?) which you can drink in your room. There is a good drying room too. The location is about a 20minute walk to Furano ski field and there is a snow shuttle. There is a hotel restaurant that serves basic Japanese cuisine and if you want to venture further afield there are more restaurants about 30min walk away. Bear in mind you will be walking in the dark, in snowy conditions along a main road so you might just want to go by taxi. In summary we had a fantastic stay and thoroughly recommend staying with them.

First, the pictures attached are a little older and this Japanese B&B has been remodeled. While the location is not right across the street from the slope, it is a short walk (a little up hill, but easy) to the ski area. I liked that it was remodeled, brand new really and the other thing that was nice is I felt the room was a nice size. Normally in Japan, you get two beds and a small bathroom. My room had a nice little area for luggage, hanging clothes and things. So for me, this place was rather large. The staff (which probably is the owner) was very helpful and nice. The dry room and ski area was very nice and convenient. While I only stayed one night, I really liked the atmosphere. Breakfast was good too. I have had better at other Japanese B&B, but this was just great.

We had a very pleasant stay in Felix West. I had to specially give compliment to the hotel staff and service team. They are very helpful, friendly, patient and professional. Their service and attitude impressed us a lot and that would be the reason for staying at this hotel upon our next visit to Furano. We were a group of 6 and staying at 3-bedroom suite was incredibly nice and comfortable. We had certain privacy by having 3 rooms in the suite and we could also gather in the dining area. Kitchen is fully equipped. Rooms are tidy and neat with amenities. Beds are very comfy and the whole environment was very quiet, so we slept very well. There is also a cafe downstairs. We travelled by car, so quite easy to get to the hotel and there is hotel carpark. If no car, reaching the hotel would be a bit challenging. Overall, we loved and enjoyed a lot our stay in the hotel.

Breakfast each morning was a feast, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and friendly, always ready with a recommendation or a cheerful greeting. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Furano. We were just a short drive from the famous flower fields and several excellent wineries. The staff at the concierge desk were always eager to help us plan our day, offering insider tips on the best times to visit the attractions to avoid crowds. One of the standout features of Nozo Hotel is its onsen, a traditional Japanese hot spring bath. After a day of sightseeing, relaxing in the onsen with its stunning views of the natural surroundings was a perfect way to unwind. In summary, Nozo Hotel in Furano offers an exceptional experience. We booked this futurwald furano ski hotel for its location. Also as it had hot spring baths for relaxing after skiing. The staff are all very nice, friendly and helpful! The nice lady behind the check in counter even booked my ski pass with discount. The only thing I could say they can improve on is better coffee, and organizing dinner and breakfast better . Maybe don't take as many bookings ? Other than that it's a perfect place to stay as they have warm drying room /ski lockers right out the front of the hotel ( across the road from the ”kitanomine ” F chair lift ) excellent 👌 if you want to access the whole furano ski resort.... Makes it easier to have a break back at hotel and not as busy as main ” shin furano prince hotel side ”. Yes overall good location, good for family or adults. The level 2 of hotel has areas to read or sip on a suntory whiskey after a good day in Furanos powder snow ❄️. I did note that the lifts in hotel get crowded but stairs are a great option if needed in a hurry. Thanks again konnichi wa OHIYO I will stay here again. . Thanks again.

コロナで遠のいていた北海道旅行に久しぶりに来ました。他のホテルはインバウンドで落ち着かない雰囲気がありましたが、こちらではとても静かに過ごすことができました。広いお部屋はもったいないぐらいでしたがきれいに清掃されており気持ちよく過ごすことができました。夕食は多くて食べられないのでつけないことが多いこの頃の旅行なのですが、アップルパイもお夜食のちまきも朝食もとてもおいしくいただけました。露天風呂が冬季閉鎖なのが残念でしたが、また是非春や秋やラベンダーの咲く頃に伺いたいと思います。

Stayed 2 nights. Corner room has a weird configurations. Room door opens into a long hallway facing the bathroom with a sink in the hallway and the bedroom off to the side via a door. The hotel is showing age but decently maintained as much as possible. The hardware seemed typical old style Japanese hotel. We had two rooms and somehow one room gets toiletry packs with coffee and another didn’t consistently. Breakfast and dinner buffet had decent spreads but nothing impressionable. No porter service was provided.

A quiet place which is walking distance from Nakafurano JR station. Enough parking space for those who drive. Managed to get up early and saw the sunrise. Lovely. There is no restaurant in this inn but they do provide breakfast. There are convenience stores nearby to buy your food. Microwave ovens are provided. You can then choose to eat your meal in the dining space downstairs or upstairs in your rooms. Tomita Farm is straight down the road. If you walk, you take about 25 mins. If you drive, it will be less than 10 mins.
