Hotel 2 Bintang di Goreme

My girlfriend and I booked the “Premium” King Suite at Mia Cappadocia Cave Hotel. Some of the things that attracted us to book this property was the: 1- private entrance , 2- sound proofing, 3- extra large bed with linen, 4- mosquito net, 5- patio etc… i will add the photo of the description of the room below. Upon arrival at the airport and after previously demanding an airport shuttle from the property, we arrived and waited and nobody showed up. We took our own taxi and arrived at the hotel to find out that our Premium King Suite is an underground closed stuffy room directly behind the reception. Upon asking where is the private entrance, the manager said “that it has a door doesnt it?” Pure deceiving description. The room is as stuffy, smelly, and suffocating as it can get. You cannot spend 10 minutes inside the room without losing the ability to breath. The manager also explains: “it is the cave experience”. The description said sound proof. My girlfriend and i tested the room. She stayed inside i stayed outside near the reception and we basically had a concersation. The room has 0 Sound Proofing. Literally anyone in the lobby or reception can hear you inside the room. Again description doesnt match reality. Now lets talk about the room. The bed is a medium sized bed with poor bedding sheets. No mosquito net. No kettle, no nothing.. the room is nothing near a Premium King Suite. After refusing to stay in the room and asked for a room change, the manager refused. We then asked for a refund, the manager also refused and threatened to call the police, and called the owner to come and deal with us. At the end, we left and booked another hotel. After filing a complaint to ******* where we made the booking, the manager Gurkan, called us and offered a 2 night refund out of the 3 only if we delete our review. This is why i am adding an honest review about our experience with this hotel. At the end we got a 2 night refund and they ripped us off with 1 night. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PROPERTY. Unprofessional, deceiving, and manipulative. If i could them a 0 stars i would have. Terrible terrible experience.

A very beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Staff here have been very accommodating and booked all our trips for us in advance. Very responsive on WhatsApp. The hotel arranged transfers to and from the airport. Breakfast was amazing, blown away with the variety. The staff at breakfast are so lovely. Room - we stayed in the deluxe stone room. Wow, absolutely beautiful! The hotel has a terrace, perfect to relax and perfect views of the hot air balloons early mornings. Only down fall, I found the reception wasn’t open 24 hours. Morning of our hot air balloon ride I couldn’t find staff to enquire where our transfers were. Though transportation eventually arrived, it would have been nice if I could ask staff to enquire regarding the delay or whether we missed our pick up. Secondly, I had to ask for a receipt as proof of payment for all my excursions, which one staff seemed hesitant in issuing or wasn’t sure how to, after a bit of pressure I was provided with a receipt. Otherwise, staff have been superb and the hotel experience has been fabulous. We were provided with information regarding local ATM, recommended places to eat, how to navigate to certain places and provided tea when we asked, did wake up calls when requested. Thank you for accommodating me and my son, you made our stay very enjoyable. We wish all the staff the very best.

Good location (5~10mins from bus station), friendly staffs, very good breakfast, bed is comfortable and room is warm in winter, shower is hot, bathroom is a bit small but clean. The room rate is good, especially at this tourist place. I stayed here 4 nights. As a backpacker, i recommend it.

No respect to customers. They say transfer from airport 10 Euro. But we were charged 30 Euro for 2 persons. We book one room, they give us another one, cold, on the first floor, a lot of loud from reception that was 5 meters from our door. I asked reception not to talk loudly after 1am, but my request was ignored (they were discussing something not important, like simple talking). They say that balloon cost will be 85 Euro. When we arrived we were charged 135 Euro. Why? Because price grow up during the day as they say. We pay and go out of hotel. Ask for price other place. Everywhere was 85 Euro. We asked money back, but didn’t get it, even wait 2 hours at reception about decision. 2 times little bit drunk staff give me wrong change. So.. Location is ok. That’s it. We got really bad mood because of this situations. I write it because I hope they can make everything better. Not like this. And everybody from their team should to know what is happening.

My wife and I stayed here as part of our trip to Turkey in August/September 2023. There is a lot that my wife and I loved about this place! The location is amazing! Just a short walk from downtown Goreme and all of the restaurants, yet facing some of the most beautiful views of fairy chimneys in Cappadocia with an amazing rooftop terrace to watch the balloons in the morning. The room itself was quite nice and spacious, and definitely gives off that cave vibe that Goreme specifically and Cappadocia generally are famous for. However, I do have a couple of complaints: 1) the owner was a little pushy on selling trips/tours. We have booked everything beforehand and he seemed frustrated by that. He also made some comments about he could have gotten us things cheaper. If I wanted that commentary I would have asked for it. I just found it annoying. 2)The bathroom was small and not well designed. I am a tall guy, and when I sat on the toilet, I had to open the glass shower door to stick my legs in because there was no room for them. Furthermore, the shower pan does NOT keep the water in the shower, it went ALL over the floor when having a shower. 3) The hotel did not provide us with any free water. This is more of a general gripe with Turkey in general rather than this hotel specifically, but the Turks seem very stingy with their free water. Normally when I stay at a hotel in a location where the water is not safe to drink, they usually provide a couple of bottles of water free of charge. But none of the hotels in Turkey did, and come on! There weren't that expensive in Turkey and its 35C outside! I think these things could easily be improved and this hotel would be so amazing because of it. Other than the above mentioned things, this place really was great!

Melek Cave Hotel is the best affordable and reasonable price hotel in Capadocia, with an amazing view and its awesome cave styled rooms. The staff were the best part, they’re very friendly, helpful and flexible. The breakfast was amazing, very focused and tasty. The hotel overall is very clean and hygienic. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who’s planning to stay more than three days in Capadocia, the location is practically near the center and shops -2 mins walk-.

Wir waren zwei Nächte in dieser herrlichen Unterkunft. Der Ausblick ist unglaublich und Herr Türker war sehr hilfreich und gab uns Tips zu regionalen Sehenswürdigkeiten abseits von Massentourismus. Wir haben sogar seine Handynummer bekommen und konnten uns jederzeit melden. Das gibt einen ein Gefühl von Sicherheit . Very wonderful Place with nice View - sightseeing . The stuff was very helpful and he gave us his number to call everytime, when we need them. I would come again , when I am here.

We got a huge room with 4 beds for 2 people! the room was in a cave shape with a very big bathroom which was well equipped with the toiletries. We only used 1 of the beds but since there was only 1 chair, the extra beds were pretty useful. The Since our room was massive, it was located on the ground floor so we did not get a balcony but we did get a huge porch kind of thing with a motor bike parked in it which was pretty cool. For those living on upper floors, there is no lift so be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. That's the case for most hotels in Cappadocia since they are built in caves and inside mountains. Toiletries included soap, body wash, shampoo, hair dryer, towels, slippers, mat, toilet paper and warm water. There were about 3-4 different small terraces with different types of seating areas which were pretty cool for taking pictures. All the balloons are very well visible from the hotel terrace so you don't have to go anywhere else to see them. You can get a good view of the entire city since the hotel is on top of a mountain. There are only 10 rooms in the hotel so it's not very busy and you can get your own space pretty much anywhere in the property. It was like staying at your grandma's heritage property and made us feel very homely. The road outside the hotel is partially paved with a maximum of 2 car parking spaces and couple of scooters since the street is pretty narrow. Breakfast was Turkish platter with fruits, cheese, dips, cereals, breads, olives, French toast, tea, coffee, juice and water. We did not have dinner at the hotel so cant say anything about that. Overall the stay was pleasant because of the authentic cave room that we got as per our expectation. Disliked: The room had everything except for the tea, coffee, water and water kettle. These were only available on the roof top restaurant for free all day but not in the room so we had to climb 2 stories every time to get a cup of coffee or water. The first water bottle provided in the room is free after that you can have from the restaurant or buy your own. There was 1 tiny window in the very big room so most of the time it was pretty dark, even in the day. We had to switch on each and every lamp in the room. Although that's expected in a cave hotel but then there was no view as from the room. In general our stay was pleasant but we felt that we overpaid for what we got. We would be much happier with the same stay if it was a little cheaper. We are making this comparison with other hotels in Turkey with similar facilities.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in! And I have stayed in many. The hostel is small and has a cozy family feel. The team are super friendly and welcome you into their family along with the dogs Hector and Critan! Breakfast is included and includes multiple courses or home cooked hot and cold dishes with a fresh menu every day. This is accompanied by endless complimentary tea, coffee and water from 8am -midnight. You are regularly greeted with snacks of fruit or home cooked sweets if you take some time to enjoy the rooftop terrace and spectacular views over Goreme. It is excellently located just off the main streets of Goreme and walking distance from the local bus station. From hot air balloon flying to multiple languages spoken there is nothing the manager can’t help you with and nothing is too much hassle. You stay in a large cave where you are asked to remain silent and respectful. It is cool, peaceful and the beds are comfy and the room super clean. The bathroom facilities are good although there are only 2 to share so at busy times you may have to wait. Overall this is a fantastic hostel and I could have happily spent my entire holiday there. Kamelye is an absolute must when visiting Cappadocia! Private rooms are available.

Il Tutquaz Cave Hotel è davvero una chicca! La struttura dispone di poche camere e questo permette un’ottima attenzione al cliente. Il proprietario è gentile e molto disponibile, ci ha organizzato sia il volo in mongolfiera che il green tour. Dispone di una terrazza per colazione da cui si ammira la vista su Goreme. Che dire, super consigliato!
