Hotel berhampiran Penguin Pool, Gothenburg

It’s very rare you find a hotel that checks all the boxes but this is it for me. Had the friendliest welcome when arriving at a late hour. The check in was quick, easy and I was in my room in no time. I’d forgotten adapters for my electrical items, the hotel was like no problem. Turns out the rooms have USB and USB-C plugs in the rooms so was covered. Moving onto the room. I had the best sleep ever. Perfect climate control. Wonderful views to wake up to and just every little detail was just amazing. After a delicious breakfast (lots of choice, Swedish and international cuisine), I explored the hotel further, the gym looks really good (I didn’t use it… just told myself I should have) and they also had a sauna. Moving outside, the location. The freshest air ever (it was nice to breath there) and literally just over the water from the city centre. If you like to walk, it’s perfectly acceptable however as I travelled with people who don’t like to walk, the hotel directed us to a bus stop one minute away. Literally two stops later, you’re in the centre. The hotel pointed out the work being done on the water front. There’ll soon be the option of getting back and forth that way. Finally, the team. It’s clear that this hotel clearly has the customers at the heart of what they do. Everyone I spoke to was warm, friendly and open to sharing hints and tips to make our stay in Gothenburg magical. And it was… EVERYONE needs to visit this wonderful city. I’m already planning my next trip and I will definitely stay again at this hotel.

It was a quite wonderful experience to stay at First G hotel in terms of the following, I can actually say I have never gotten this kind of experience outside of Japan in my life. Their services with smiling faces, breakfast especially scrambled egg and a lot of line up of breads, convenient location to take almost all trams which will take you anywhere in Goteborg, finally entire performance per cost. Scandic Europa is the perfect location to stop if you ate going to a concert at the Ullevi stadium. Located right by the main station. The rooms were adequate and the breakfast excellent. We did have a couple of issues that were immediately sorted out so nothing negative to say. We left very early in the morning, Uber was on time and we were provided with breakfast boxes. Overall a very good choice.

Absolutely perfect destination if you have to spend one or two nights in this beautiful city for business or pleasure. It's just 5-minutes to the central train station and boasts a stunning panorama view of the port.

Fantastic location as it is near to the central station, tram and bus stop, and a supermarket. Generally, room is clean. Meals (breakfast, fika and dinner) is good too. Love that it offers vegetarian options. Had a great stay and may consider to stay here again if I visit Göteborg.

The design and the rooms are fine. Cleaning of the rooms 👍. But the beds especially the top madras was poor. The breakfast is served, at a corner to hall of the horse race track. Coffee cups and cutlery are dirty. Employees don’t react when we tell them. And the food plain and very boring. We stayed there during the Gothic cup. Big mistake. The hotel was not geared for that many guests. We had to eat breakfast with many, many and loud football camp kids. After the first disaster breakfast, we asked the receptionist when we could go and have breakfast the next morning…..hoping we could eat without feeling we were in a school dining hall. So to do that we had to get up eat in order to find a decent area to sit.

We had a great stay here in Göteborg! Location is excellent, right by Central station and great access to restaurants and interest points. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The photo is a view of Central Station when standing at the entrance to the hotel.

Aspenas Herrgard is a great place to have a relaxing weekend. Great location. Right next to a beautiful lake with gorgeous vistas. The room was clean and cosy. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and it had a wide selection of items.
