Nice hotel being close to Ruoff Music Center. Cheap & clean. Elevator is a little sketchy but otherwise it’s good for a concert stay. There’s also a gentleman who runs a shuttle to and from the venue that’s very convenient!

Overall stay was ok, but lots of room for improvement. At check in I was told that the hotel had just recently reopened and judging by the fact that the last review was from fall 2019, I’m guessing it’s been closed for a bit. Exterior of hotel looks a little worn, but lobby area seems to be updated. They seem to be renovating on the fly, so we encountered some issues. Our first room didn’t have water in the toilet and the turning on water supply didn’t work, so we had to switch rooms. Second room very clean, comfortable and recently updated, but missing a couple details. We didn’t have a garbage can anywhere in room (not even in bathroom), only one bar of soap for both sink and shower, and box springs on bed were exposed with no skirt or frame covering (just looked a little sloppy). But, again, room was clean and comfortable so those were just minor issues. Breakfast was extremely sad. There were very few people staying at the hotel yet everything was pretty cleared out by 8:30. The little eggs and bacon that were left did not look very appetizing, very limited selection of yogurt, cereal, breads. No juice of any kind offered, only coffee, hot water for cocoa and tea and small bottles of warm water. Somehow the room switch showed up as a cancellation on my Marriott account so I didn’t get points for the stay which is also disappointing (credit card charged, but Marriott account lists stay as cancelled). Staff was friendly and lobby/room clean, but seems like place has some kinks to work out, I’d probably give it some time before staying here.

Very clean and the service was great. Everyone was very polite and knowledgeable about the area. Plus...The coffee was great. Best hotel coffee I've ever had.

Our first stay was amazing over Thanksgiving. Originally chosen as it is close to our children's home. Generous room sizes, quiet, clean, practically brand new. Felt like we were the only guests. Breakfast did not disappoint with hot and cold selections as well as decent coffee. Second stay over New Years weekend. Lobby full of people either coming or going. I think there was some type of conference. Gentleman behind the desk stated the large groups were leaving the next day. Hotel very quiet during the entire stay despite the large groups. Only difficulty was first morning breakfast overcrowded and parking lot access limited by large vans/buses for the large groups. Not a problem after the first morning. Utilized the pool on this second trip. Small with max depth of 4 feet, but perfect for some light lap swimming/water walking. If you feel you need a large closet, ask for an end room. Large walk-in closet that could probably fit a roll-a-way. Otherwise nice sized closets in general. As for hotel location, easy to get to off the highway. 5-10 minutes from restaurants, target, Walmart. Only 20 minutes to major shopping malls. I know the big sports park is close too. So if you are attending sports events, like summer baseball, make reservations early. Nice gas station and Wendy’s just off property. Easy access for filling up. We will definitely be back.
