City Xiyouli Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake)

Very clean and I love the theme of 西游记 — just enough and not too loud. Rooms and clean. Staff are very helpful and responsive when I made a complaint about rowdy hotel guests. Good location, and 15min walk maximum to anywhere nice. The Xiyouli hotel itself is located within Zhejiang Hotel on the 4th floor. Xiyouli lobby is also located in Zhejiang Hotel level 1 too.

Highly recommended this hotel - the location is fantastic. Outside the lobby is a train station, 7-11 and a few eateries. Opposite there is KFC, right behind the hotel (less than 10mins walk) are filled with food eateries and wulin night market. It was raining during our stay, the lobby also provides umbrella. The hotel has a common guest area located at level 4 for guests to chill or have their meals - provides hot water and complimentary bottle waters too. It’s a nice touch for travellers especially family or friends. However, on our 2nd last night, it came a group of guests who kept smoking at the common area (they are not supposed to). I have feedback to the service crew and they told us to inform them if we see anyone smokes as the hotel is a non smoking hotel. Other than, everything is really good. I will return back to this hotel. All the monkey god statues are cute too!

Clean and comfortable room! Really love the theme of the hotel with many cute monkeys. This was easily the best hotel of our China trip. It’s also close to Wulin night market and the metro, easily accessible from the main railway station. Great and friendly service from 小范 and 小徐. Will definitely recommend to all my family and friends!

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff at the counter were very helpful and polite, especially Xiao Fan (小范).who provided excellent service. She even couriered items that we left behind to our apartment in Shanghai. The breakfast spread was good, and we would also like to compliment Pei Pei (佩佩), a staff member at the restaurant, for her impeccable service. She went above and beyond, even sharing recommendations for places to visit. The hotel is relatively new, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Its convenient location—just a short walk to West Lake and a minute to the MRT entrance—made getting around effortless. The only minor downside was that the mattress was a bit firm for our preference, which seems common in China. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay overall, and we would definitely return when we visit again.

Overall very awesome 2 nights stay at the hotel, the counter staff are all friendly and approachable especially 小周. The metro is just located in front of the hotel and walking distance to Wulin night market.
