SpringHill Suites Edgewood Aberdeen

When you think of a Marriott property you don’t expect to stay at an aged on. This property really shows her age. The property is clean and quite. You are close to many restaurants so you will find something to eat. Just under $100 for the night.

Great hotel. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze. The reception associates were both friendly. The room was clean and the breakfast was standard hotel offerings. The breakfast attendant was friendly too. A nice value. The hotel was located right off I-95, making it easy to find.

Stayed here for six nights in November on a business and leisure trip. Enjoyed the electrical control of the sheer window blind! Odd numbered rooms face north and have some traffic noise from the freeway. Even numbered rooms face south and are likely warmer in summer. I used the tray as a mouse pad because my optical mouse did not work well on the white desk. Park in front of the hotel to keep the car warmer in winter. Or park behind, north of, the hotel in a shaded parking area. Without sun, your vehicle may have more frost and ice. The guest laundry worked well but had only one washing machine. For the laundry machines, put two quarters in each slot.

I checked in late last Sunday and was suffering a fibroid attack. I was sweating, shaking, severely cramping in my back and legs causing me to have trouble walking, and was clotting bad. I asked to make the check in process Quick add to be by the main elevator so that I could go to the bathroom and take care of my situation. Ivanna, the woman at the desk, told me that would be no problem. Instead of being in a room by the main elevator what she promised me, I was in the room at the back of the hotel. When I told Ivanna that I was struggling to get to my room, was in pain, and that I was going to have an accident, she told me that if I peed on myself that would be a me problem and that she put me my AN elevator, just not the main one. She then tried to lie to her GM and downplay the severity of what happened. I never met someone as callous, insensitive, and rude in all of my years of suffering from this chronic illness. I’ll never go back; there is no amount of sensitivity training that would make her fit to work in the service industry.

I just can’t seem to figure out what all the negative reviews on this hotel are for. My family and I stayed here for five nights in July. The room was clean, the breakfast was good, everything was totally fine with it. We enjoyed the pool. Also having water infused with fruit and mint with a nice touch. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

Let’s go down the list. The hotel staff : excellent except for a manager. Rooms: clean, bed comfortable but the sleeper sofa is torturous to sit on. Breakfast: they need to update the website pictures, they are misleading and not offered. You get scrambled eggs, a meat and lucky if they have potatoes. The usual cereals and bread and bagel (bland) to toast. No offerings in the evening except fresh cookies after 7pm. Stayed here 2 weeks for work. If I had to pay I would have done a Hilton property.

BAD! Fan so loud in room had to turn off AC. Fire detector set on wall facing bed and flashed all night, refrigerator door broke and the topping on the whole stay…there were ants crawling around the cooked breakfast food!! We always stay at Marriott but usually Residence Inn. I thought this would be ok. Wrong!!

This hotel is not bad per se, I just think they could do better. I stayed here in the summer and it still feels like they have work to do renovating ... baseboards not in, etc. Not sure why they can't finalize a few minor items. 3rd Floor - they need to fix the doors. They slam when when you shut them. You can adjust how hard they close and make it a bit 'softer' - woke me up a number of times. My last stay I asked for a quiet room and was next to the elevator and ice maker. I should have checked. I always ask for quiet room - I write it in every time I make a reservation. It feels like most people don't read it. Breakfast was pretty good and the fitness center was more than adequate.

Frequent traveler, Titanium Marriott member, and stayed one night on points while traveling. The Good: Hotel has security which patrols the property; front desk staff was friendly and the hotel was fairly quiet, even though it is close to interstate. The Not So Good: THE HOTEL IS BEING RENOVATED BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU ON THE WEBSITE! When I asked why it wasn't disclosed on the website, I was told "We are working on that." Well, it looks like they've been working to fill up the dumpsters more than they've been interested in being honest with guests. This hotel is not like any other SpringHill Suites I've ever stayed in - the room I was provided did not have a separate living and sleeping area and was nothing like what was pictured on their website. Breakfast was also not comparable to what I had experienced at the other SpringHill Suites. I shared my experience when I checked out and was told that a manager would contact me, but I never heard from anyone - guess they are working on that too!
