After a five-hour drive from the Netherlands, I arrived at the Premier Inn (Hayes) and was immediately struck by the hotel's exterior—modern and inviting, with ample parking space. However, stepping inside, it became clear that the interior shows its age, especially with the dilapidated carpet in the common areas. Despite this, the rooms were a pleasant surprise. By London standards, they are quite spacious, and I was impressed by the spotless linen and bathroom. If you can overlook the dated carpet, the rest of the stay is quite comfortable. Be aware that there’s no elevator, but the stairs are manageable. The wooden floors do cause noticeable reverberation when people walk, which might bother light sleepers. The staff overall were a highlight. The breakfast team were warm and attentive, adding a nice touch to the mornings. The front desk experience was mixed—while the evening staff were relaxed and welcoming, the morning receptionist seemed a bit stressed. In summary, the Premier Inn (Hayes) offers decent value for its price. If you don’t mind a few quirks, like the old carpet and creaky floors, the spacious rooms and friendly staff make it a solid choice for a short stay.
