Canareef Resort Maldives

The first time we went to Canareef Resort and it was really great! The time flew by, we wanted to stay even longer. The staff is also really great, every single one of them are friendly! On arrival the welcome was super nice, there was clapping, drumming, we were also given a homemade necklace made of palm leaves and a coconut to drink. The entire stay we were treated as if we were the king and queen. In the restaurant we always had the same waiter which I also think is super and he was really sublime. The food there was also very delicious. The island is also very beautiful and well maintained, every day the blades are raked everywhere both on the beach and on the road and behind all the villas. On the island you can get around on foot, by bike or buggy. You can easily get a bike from the bikehub and keep it for the duration of your stay. You can have a buggy come very easily by calling from your cottage or asking the staff to call and a buggy will pick you up in no time to take you to your desired location. We also booked a private tour to go snorkeling this was definitely a highlight! At the start we were welcomed with a coconut to drink, they also had a lunch box and fresh drinks more. Our guide was someone local who knew perfectly where the best snorkeling spots were to see the most beautiful fish and coral. We also saw a stingray, black tip reef shark and a water turtle while snorkeling. There was also a large pod of dolphins nearby so our captain took us there to admire them up close from the boat. This trip is something I definitely want to do again and definitely recommend to everyone!

A fantastic holiday in the Maldives. A beautiful hotel resort in the middle of a tropical island. The resort has a beautiful pool area connected to the bars that are spread across the island. The people, especially the employees, are super nice, friendly and help wherever they can! They are there immediately and try to fulfill every wish. Absolutely! My special thanks go to Didi, who organized a fantastic private boat trip for us! With dolphins to watch, snorkeling and a picnic in front of a small uninhabited island. Just great. Didi takes care of everything and can organize everything incredibly well. And so it goes that across all areas, the spa is Great, the waiters are incredibly nice, the buggy drivers are always on hand. And the girls at reception also do a fantastic job of solving problems and organizing things. Very lovely girls and incredibly friendly and helpful, my special thanks go to Jasmin for the reception. She did so well and was so sweet. I can only say. A holiday on Canareef is a dream holiday. Anyone who likes peace and quiet, loves the sea and is interested in the marine world is more than right here. The small diving school on the island also does wonderful work - the staff are just great and the diving is an absolute experience. I thank Canareef Resort for this dream. Thanks and I definitely want to come back as soon as I can... Full marks.

Amazing trip! All the staff were exceptional. Being able to snorkel at the beach was a highlight. The dolphin tour and snorkelling tour run by Didi and the team was fantastic. Do yourself a favour and get a massage from the spa team. If you hate paradise and relaxing then this isn't the place for you. Would highly recommend.

The best resort in Maldives, Everything is wonderful. This is a perfect honeymoon anniversary. The food on the island and the cordial greetings of the staff. The scenery of the resort is pleasant, very suitable for travelling, work, leisure, family gatherings, everything is beautiful.

This was our 2nd time at canareef I must say it is an amazing place with some gorgeous food, absolutely brilliant people (Didi) and stunning views … watching the Sun set is something that you have just got to see. I can’t recommend this resort enough (one set of friends has already taken up our recommendation and they loved it). We all have busy lives but visiting here you are able to switch off and relax and the team do such a great job of looking after your every need which makes all of the difference It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and the team went out of there way to make it a very special day for us … Thank You

This is a review of our week in May 2024. It is very objective as we are in the travel business ourselves as pinksunshinetravel though we booked this independently. Overdue by many years and worth the wait. Firstly nothing to do with venue but from the UK it is a long journey! We traveled 24 hours from leaving home to arriving at Canareef. Canareef was amazing. Again as said in the travel industry so hopefully this is very accurate. The food choice was excellent in the buffet restaurant with theme changing daily, all food was tasty, hot and well presented. We had an Ocean table as you have the same table for whole of stay. Our server was Ashrouf(Apologies if spelt wrongly) we was table 618 8-15th May he looked after us a treat, THANK YOU. The Villas were amazing we were in 618, a Jacuzzi Villa on sunset side , literally 20/30 foot from Indian Ocean. AMAZING. Comfortable, well equipped and room service twice a day. The sea was so warm and on most days so clear, the snorkelling was amazing. I regret not doing scuba but only there 7 days and it was quite pricey. The pool at Dhoni bar was huge and the bar had an amazing sunset deck, 3 pool tables, 2 dartboards and FANTASTIC STAFF. We opted for a romantic beachside meal that was pricey at about $175 but the food and service was amazing. If negatives exist, then I have some mobility issues and the buggies though excellent are VERY bumpy. We had a dream holiday, the 7 days passed far to quickly and for us the Maldives became our favourite destination. The sad thing for us is we left a folder in our room that whilst having information in it the main thing it had was our EQUATOR crossing certificates gutted to have lost these. Any negatives you read about Canareef ignore, from UK it is a long way too long for 7 days so try for 10/14. Expect to be spoilt treated like Kings & Queens. Canareef thank you. PS If you found our folder checkout May 15th Villa 618 it would be amazing to get our certificates or at worst even email them?

This was one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever experienced. From room service to food service it was great. Shifaz was our server for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He was exceptional. Dilshaun made it his business to greet us daily and converse with us about their culture as we did ours. The excursions were nothing short of amazing. This was a dream come true for my husband and I and we enjoyed it to the fullest.

It’s been pretty amazing. And I have to say, one of the best run places we’ve been to. The manager holds a tight ship here and it shows! The staff is absolutely amazing! Genuine and always smiling and helpful. It feels like the whole resort knows us by name and room number! Hahaha. Now, really, I don’t think we have felt so welcome and appreciated anywhere else before. Every single interaction with the staff is super pleasant. Even random encounters and chats. At the bar, by the beach, at the gym, restaurant.. every buggy driver, the cleaning staff.., cheerful, happy, smiling, welcoming, chatty, sweet. I’m at a loss for words.
