Hostels di Kyoto

This was such a good place to rest and relax. I did make a friend here but the hostel is more for relaxing and having your privacy. The mattress is freaking amazing. I never wanted to leave the bed. It can fit two people and it’s soooo soft and comfortable I loved sleeping there.

Located perfectly near Kyoto-Kawaramachi, this hostel can offer top service in every aspect: staff is very welcome and friendly, everyone speak great English and everything is clean. They have male and women only floors and also one that is a mix for everybody. Each guest is offered a locker that can fit a 203cm luggage and can keep your extra bags. Capsule itself is extremely spacious, as a 182cm male I could sit up properly in my space and still have room above me. Ventilation is okay and power sockets as well as good lightning are included. Toilets and showers are very well cleaned and maintained. Each day you are given a new set of towels and slippers, which is very nice. Guests here were well mannered and friendly. Overall I can say with confidence that this is a very good place to stay in Kyoto, totally recommend! P.S.: Gion is located nearby so that is also a plus. Note that this is not ”party” hostel

I had a very nice stay :) However, there were some drawbacks. 1. The bed curtains don’t close all the way, but leaves cracks where light can seep into the room. As the corridor between bunks/rooms is lit 24/7 this was a bit annoying. 2. The curtains do not offer any soundproofing and neither do the walls. I heard people pulling up their duvet, shifting in bed, snoring etc. The curtains themselves were also very noisy. 3. The bathroom door does have a ”slow stop” but it just gives a false sense of security. As the bathroom door will slide back into place after use most people just dropped it, however, what they failed to remember was that at the end of the rail the door still hits the wall with a resounding bonk and bounces back to repeat itself. I awoke startled multiple times, as it sounded as if someone was knocking to get into my room. 4. The automatic lock on the main bedroom door is also very loud, but you don’t get the knocking-like sound of the bathroom door. Sound-wise; the complimentary earplugs were great saviors. 5. The only showers are on the 4th floor. This was inconvenient for me as I had to juggle pjamas, a toiletries bag, bathroom slippers and towels from my floor. However, I think this is easy enough to fix; just provide the lower rooms with a basket to carry stuff in. All in all I had a great stay! The hotel is super close to landmarks as Nishiki Market and Kyoto museum so I could always find my way back. The shared areas were also spotless and included great amenities. The staff is super kind as well. It seems like their making the common area even bigger!

The location was good because it was near Omiya Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. It's 2 stops from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. I was satisfied with both the facilities and cleanliness. All the staff were friendly.

Very clean and modern looking hostel. Drawback is location, but it’s close to Ryōan-ji and 50 min walking to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

This is a small hostel with an absolutely awesome location. It is a walking distance from Gion and several iconic Kyoto destinatinations, which is truly the best feature it has. However, the dormitory itself was also pretty nice. It had exceptionally clean and well-equiped shower and bath as well as small kitchen with little public space and even a coin washing machine. The hostel, unfortunately, lacks a bit when it comes to storing luggage. I had to keep it in a dormitory corridor, which was not very wide in a first place. However no compaints there. For a short term stay, considering the price, this may very well be the best option

2 stations away from kyoto station which is very convenience. However, the soundproof was not very good, we could hear footsteps from outside and upstairs. The window was very bright and thin as well as there was no curtain to block the light. We could also hear the vehicles driving on the road very loudly.

Очень хорошее расположение. Рядом с двумя станциями. И до станции Киото 10 минут ехать. О для меня всегда очень удобно когда мало персонала и нет ключей, двери на кодовом замке.

This hostel it is clean, good location, even if you are 2 km from main popular street is easy to get around. The issues: you can’t really sleep here if u get snoring people as ur neighbors rooms. I ve booked 7 days but I had to cancel the lasts 2 because was really hard to sleep and I was having only ~4h sleeping. And at 7/8 am people are already moving and waking up and because of the isolation of the ceiling(pic) is very easy to hear absolutely anything, any little move. In the first night staying here, after a person snoring so much until 2 am , it woke up go toilet and after it put reels on big volume at more than 2 am, I had to go all the way to knock at his door bcz I imagine it was a guy. The single issue with the mixed floor is this, if you put a girl with only men and they snoring, that girl can’t have any good sleep, if u put only girls and some men but they snoring, all girls will get mad bcz I wasn’t the single one after the first day. In the last night the snoring man wasn’t in the room anymore and they were more girls I ve heard. So if this hostel wants to make a mixed floor then I think they can think of putting only young people with young people and older people with older. Or maybe only 1 floor women and another men and the rest floor mixed idk. They can think of something. Also , there is water dispenser only at 5 th floor! Why they don’t have one next to reception? All the people from down have to climb all the stairs for a glass of water everyday until 5th? And there is the sharing space only at 5th floor where is the water too but again, a person that needs to talk to phone and to not destroy other peace , has to go or outside the hostel or in toilets or at 5th floor… it is a bit of a struggle these things. And for the double rooms u can put a small electric kettle for morning coffee I think and a glass and a spoon. To not get all the way up to 5th floor, if it wasn’t complicated to get all the way up I would have gone to make coffee there too but I tried one morning when I was still not awake and it was a bit of a struggle. That’s all. Oh. And the beds are really comfortable and very soft, too bad I couldn’t enjoy a good sleep in them. And after I canceled the lasts 2 days I didn’t receive back the city tax:)) is not big money at all but details makes the difference.

The place has an excelente location, easy to get there. The room was cleaned and organized. However, there is no person at the front desk to ask questions or ask for help. The code for entering to the room was sent by SMS, but since we were traveling the service for SMS of our phone company does not work outside our country, so we did not receive the message since we were traveling. They do not have an e-mail address, so the check in instructions could not be send there. When we arrived to the place was late and we found the front desk empty even though we still arrived in the front desk service hours. We had a hard time contacting the hotel but luckily could get some help in calling the administration to get our room number and the code.
