Overall, I had a great experience with Avoca Inn, staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and hygienic in the times of covid. Had a very comfortable stay, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Hulhumale.

A well deserved jewel of a property which deserves more credit than most around! Went on a last minute booking the staff spoken to me offered a great rate and was very helpful even before coming to the hotel! Upon arrival to the hotel the staff greeted me and my girlfriend and we were met upon with a great receptionist Afzal who deserves more credit than most as he was very good to us and explained everything to us! However i di have to say one downside is that upon check-in late night my girlfriend felt uncomfortable as there were some local men saying something in their local language to the receptionist while we were checking in! However Afzal politely told us that they were some friends who were just joking around with him! But after that it didn't bother us! We actually enjoyed our stay we were blown away by the Deluxe room that we booked as it was just AMAZING and we have been to many hotels around and it just gave us a very comfortable vibe! It felt like home and we enjoyed every bit of our stay here! The staff was very good to us during breakfast greeted us with a smile and served us! We felt very comfortable during breakfast as well and we were happy with the service! However the only downside on breakfast is that it's a very light breakfast and not much selections at all! But overall the breakfast experience was very good! Also need to give a good review for the Housekeeping staff as well! They were very polite and very helpful asked us whether we needed anything as we extended our stay after breakfast and was having a good attitude and a breath smile! How ever i would recommend that you provide sealed bottles of fresh water in exchange to refilling the water bottles from another big bottle! Which the guests would be much more comfortable in drinking as its very important for all humans! Lastly again have to give a special thankyou for Afszal the receptionist as he was a Star! And took care of all our needs and was very professional! He made our stay feel like at home! I should know.. I am a worldwide hotelier as well! I definitely recommend this place for everyone and i will specially recommend this place for my friends if they wanna visit Hulhumale alone or with family or their girlfriend! It's completely safe! And very clean! A BIG thank you for ALL the staff! Well done!

The breakfast is good, the staff is very friendly, the room is comfortable, close to the sea, within walking distance, the pick-up and drop-off is also convenient, recommended as a transitional hotel-

I stayed two nights in November 2022. Hotel is in a good location in the phase 1 area of Hulhumale, many restaurants and shops nearby. Room was basic, but comfortable for the price point. Breakfast was very basic, but adequate. A/C worked well and there was hot water in the shower. The internet was wonky. It usually worked, but sometimes cut out. There was a voucher system that allowed for one device at a time, and using the voucher on the reception area network prevented using that same voucher on a higher floor (where the guest rooms are) network. The front desk guys were good about issuing another voucher as necessary, but it was a hassle to go down to the reception. For those going to/from the airport, there is a bus in Male, but tourists are not encouraged to use it (it is more complicated than it needs to be--you cannot buy tickets on the bus, you must buy them at stores or the post office or download an app that only locals have). Nevertheless, there is a bus stop close to this hotel, so you don't need to use a taxi. One of the front desk workers was great with advice or any questions about Hulhumale, but the other worker was only (overly) excited about calling a taxi (I needed to tell him 3 times that I ”didn't need a taxi, stop calling it”). It is one of the more affordable hotels in Male/Hulhumale, I would stay here again. 4/5

We stayed here for the second time before catching our flight home after a dive trip. It is fine for one night, the room was clean and the air con worked great. This island is man made, so space is at a premium. We booked a twin in the hope that we might have a bit more bed space, but the floor space was not really big enough to have both our dive bags open at the same time. However the staff were absolutely delightful. The rooftop restaurant was really nice and the food and service was great. We had to leave at 5.15 and there was a lovely breakfast spread out with yogurt and juices and fruit beautifully presented. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Proposta stanza SENZA FINESTRA - rifutata.; quella accettata aveva stabile in costruzione a DUE METRI- buia sempre ( anche al mattino alle otto) Stanza orrenda : non un armadio; non un cassetto; non unposto su cui mettere le valige. Connessione internet pessima. stanza non rifatta alla sera. praticamente un vero imbroglio . Colazione di qualità insufficinete

The hotel is right next to the beach, gorgeous sea view from the room. The hotel staff Amy, was friendly and ever ready to give the best recommendation for a few hour walk in male, from shopping to where to shop for souvenirs and she also recommended us to take a short ferry to villemale which only cost less than $1 to and fro from Male jetty to the island. Great advice that just keep our time worth staying in Amber beach hotel.

We stayed here for one night before flying out. It was a very good stay. No frills, just what was needed for a transit stay. The room was clean, amenities were good, the included breakfast was great and the fact that they included one-way airport transport was a bonus. They were also flexible with check-in (possibly a factor being we travelled during non peak months). The one downside, if it matters, is that the property is not beach-facing. Though it's a 2 minute walk away. The locality itself is fabulous. The beach is great, a public park (with skate ramp!) is nearby, and there are several options for restaurants. It's a good budget pick for a hotel for a one-night (or more) stay. I'd certainly stay in Hulhumale again rather than the more crowded Male!
