"Had to book a last minute hotel because a change of plans. Everything else was booked or too expensive. This hotel was great, both in terms of price as well as quality! Staff is super friendly and helpful, location is great is the nice neighborhood of Antwerpen Zuid, many restaurants and supermarkets within a few minutes walking, comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a hotel to spend the night when visiting Antwerpen."

"Check in was to slow. Don't know what he's doing. Need to open book to refer how to check in. No other staff available for guidance. First given me a door code with alphabets. When I went up there is no alphabets on the door. Secondly the reception gave me a code which didn't work. Again went down to ask him just to open the door with his key. To my amaze he didn't know where the room is. I can understand he probably new but to let a new person running the whole hotel without a guardian is absolutely absurd."

"A beautifully presented hotel but the area felt a little dirty. Straight across from the train station with transport galore right outside (tram, metro, bikes, scotters and more!) Chinatown next door and the zoo as well however this area feels unloved and dirty. Walking down towards Meir and onwards to Grote Markt you see the real Antwerp with beautiful ornate buildings, markets and shops. Nighttime is when the whole place feels magical. The hotel room was clean and comfortable in size. Bathroom was lovely and the beds were fairly comfortable but the room was hot. The tv casting didn’t work and we could get any of the uk channels which was disappointing. The gym is ok - not massively well equipped and the pool is so cold. Sauna and steam good although not that hot in either. Recommend as a one night pit stop but wouldn’t want to be there for longer than a couple of days."

"Stay was much like others mentioned. Hotel is very new, 24/7 reception, onsite gym and reasonably sized rooms. Some personell doesn't speak Dutch, which is not acceptable to us, please do some effort to learn the language of the country you work in please. The braided, black, tall lady was very friendly. Also a shout out to the breakfast kitchen team, coffee should always come with a small treat.
The only very big negative for us was that we put in the special requests that we preferred a quiet room on the back side of the building. We even followed up with an email. Only to be assigned a room on the front of the building when checking in. That is very annoying. Especially since there were rooms available on the back side, which we got assigned after complaining. NOT OK!
Had a good stay, nice rest, and didn't mind the 5 mins walk to the metro for the city center. Expensive supermarket nearby was also a plus."

"Warm welcome from the receptionist and given a clean, nice room facing The Opera. Location was perfect, near Central Station and the shopping street that take you right to historic centre.
Breakfast selection left a lot to be desired though.
I would still recommend staying here."

PPengguna Tanpa NamaMy stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very peaceful, which made it a perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring the city. One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It is situated very close to Antwerp Central Station, which makes transportation extremely convenient, especially if you are arriving by train or planning to travel around Belgium.
The surrounding area is calm, safe, and very pleasant to walk around. Within just a short walk, you can find many lovely streets, shops, restaurants, and cafés. I also loved that it is close to Antwerp Zoo, which is one of the oldest zoos in Europe and definitely worth visiting. The neighborhood has a very charming atmosphere, and simply walking around the area felt like part of the experience.
The hotel itself was very comfortable and well maintained. The room was neat, nicely arranged, and provided a relaxing environment after a busy day in the city. The overall ambiance of the hotel felt quiet and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable.
The only small thing that could be improved is the heating. It would have been even better if the room heater could make the room warmer, especially during colder weather. Aside from that, everything else about my stay was great.
Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Antwerp. The combination of the excellent location, peaceful environment, and comfortable rooms makes it a great place to stay while exploring the city.

PPengguna TetamuOverall our expectations were exceeded, we have been traveling for almost 90 days and this has been the best hotel we have stayed. The room was clean and well appointed. The location is a short walk from the central train station through a safe neighborhood. The staff was friendly and quick to make any request happen. The staff appears to care for the hotel and customers as if they had a true interest in the outcome of everyone who passed through their doors. Thanks again for the excellent stay.

PPengguna TetamuSuper leuk en hip Hotel in een van de mooiste gezelligste wijken van Antwerpen -Zuid gelegen bij een prachtig park, parkeergarages en faciliteiten. Met de tram voor de deur rijdt je binnen 10 minuten het centrum in. Het hotel is hip en jong. Inchecken aan de bar waar je gelijk een lekkere welkoms cocktail krijgt. De hotel lounge is een hippe bar met lekkere muziek of DJ en en een goede kaart voor wat te happen, dineren en drinken. De hotelkamers zijn niet heel groot maar, modern, strak en functioneel voor een weekend in Antwerpen. De bedden liggen lekker stevig en de kamers zijn goed geïsoleerd. Zeker keer doen.

CChristianThe hotel is in an excellent location if you are working at the conference centre a Room with a Zoo, you have to walk one minute across the square.
I ate twice in the restaurant, both times the food was mediocre (too much tomato sauce on pizza, very strange and poorly made carbonara with pasta that was dry due to being put under the grill). The breakfast was also extremely basic for 20 euros a day, one day the baked beans were empty the whole time I was there, several days most of the cherry tomatoes were wrinkled. The juices were nice and the bread was fresh.
Overall, the staff seemed slightly poorly coordinated in ensuring someone was available at the bar and reception. The bar was frequently unmanned, and the reception was as well, it seemed like sometimes bar staff were spending time with friends.
In addition, the bathroom in my room smelt, from the day of arrival.
Overall the location is good and it seemed relatively clean, but the rooms are small, I would not eat here, but the bar is suitable for a drink.

TTopperUKThe hotel is fabulously well placed, it is right next to the central station and this saves a lot of difficulty with luggage!
This particular establishment needs a little maintenance. As you enter into the building, the carpets/mats are filthy and the paint is chipped off in many locations giving a rundown look. Reception was clearly overrun and requires extra workers, although the girl working upon my arrival did a fantastic job despite some particularly awkward tour guides hassling for attention!
The room was not up to standard cleaning wise. No mattress protector! - This should be grounds for admonishment over anything else. If I stayed at a four or five star establishment without mattress protectors, I would refuse the room ordinarily. It is simply not hygienic. The balcony on my room had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time and there was an ashtray overflowing along with cotton buds and wrappers.

PPengguna TetamuAs a long-time hostel user from the 1970s, I was pleasantly surprised at this hostel/hotel. It was a quite a long way from the 70s! Mostly due to the fact that they had twin-for-single-use rooms with a nice toilet/shower and included towels, though I'd brought my own thinking they wouldn't be. The beds (two singles pushed together) were relatively comfortable, and the duvets were warm enough considering there was no heat as it was ”between seasons”. Shower was small but hot and powerful enough.
Location was of course excellent, being directly outside the main centraal station, and a couple steps from a large supermarket (and nearly directly on the main shopping area with every shop/food/etc you could ever want or need.
Check-in was super easy and the receptionist was extremely nice, warm and welcoming. Though I didn't partake of breakfast as I felt it was pretty expensive for being a hostel (the name being synonymous with ”inexpensive/cheap”), I did see a very crowded breakfast room in the morning when I went down for hot water for my portable Aeropress. Thankfully they had no issue with giving me hot water that was saving me the 3 euro for a tiny coffee :-)
Price-to-value ratio -- I'm not quite sure about this, as the twin-for-single-use was really only about 5-10 euro less expensive than quite a few full-service hotels in the same centraal station area. As I wasn't in a ”dormitory with multiple beds”, I can't speak to the comfort or quiet of those rooms. Rooms on the 8th floor were not exactly ”quiet” as doors had a tendency to slam shut, but whether that's just a design flaw or simply people not really caring, I don't know (including blasting television and music...c'mon! Have a bit of consideration, you're not alone in the hostel/hotel.). Would I recommend it over others just a few meters away? I might have a tough time doing that. But I spent a relatively pleasant night overall.

Kamer was op zich prima, maar rook heel erg muf en als je het raam open deed hoorde je de snelweg heel erg goed.
Prima bedden, lekker geslapen. Douche had een zachte straal.
Mag wat frisser de kamer.

PPengguna TetamuWij verbleven 2 nachten in een kamertype: studio. We kwamen vroeger aan dan de voorziene check-in tijd maar werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. We konden ons omkleden en de bagage werd veilig bewaard aan de receptie (en nadien door een medewerker naar de kamer gebracht). Via een persoonlijke SMS werden we op de hoogte gebracht wanneer de kamer klaar was. Aangezien we toen niet meer in het hotel waren werd de code en procedure duidelijk uitgelegd om later vlot in te checken via huisnummer 115. De studio was ruim en voorzien van alles zoals voorgesteld tijdens de reservatie. Voor de rokers is er een ruime aparte 'patio'. Hier kan je rustig roken en je eigen drankje consumeren zonder de 'niet-rokers' te storen. Zowel in de kamer, kitchenette en badkamer was de hygiëne prima. Op de gang is er tevens een automaat met enkele drankjes, snoep, chips, tandenborstel,... voorzien. Dit hotel voldeed ruimschoots aan alle verwachtingen van een 3-sterren product. Het uitchecken verliep vlot en wederom hartelijk en vriendelijk. In de kamer was het geluid van de straat wel hoorbaar maar dat wisten we op voorhand gezien de ligging van het hotel (bij een volgende reservatie vragen we misschien een kamer aan de binnenzijde). Een hotelkamer in het echte centrum van de stad heeft dan weer andere geluiden. Het hotel is bijzonder gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanaf het centraal (trein)station en op 20 minuten te voet ben je in hartje Antwerpen. Bij een volgende uitstap naar Antwerpen zal onze keuze snel gemaakt zijn en kiezen we voor Arass Hôtel & Business Flats.
