Staying at this hotel was a truly wonderful experience. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from the main street, food market, shops, bars, restaurants, and one of the many beautiful canals and scenic spots. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the service exceeded all expectations. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, with the concierge available at any time and always ready to help. They even went the extra mile by picking us up at the entrance gate and escorting us back to the taxi after check-out. Overall, everything was handled with great care and professionalism. I would highly recommend both Xitang as a destination and Shenyuan Boutique Inn as a place to stay. 这次入住体验非常棒。酒店位置极佳，步行几分钟即可到达主街、美食市场、商店、酒吧、餐厅，以及众多风景优美的河道和景点。房间和公共区域都非常干净，卫生状况无可挑剔，服务更是超出预期。工作人员热情周到，管家随时待命，耐心细致、乐于助人。入住和退房时，他们还贴心地在入口处接我们，并在退房后护送我们到出租车处，细节之处令人感动。整体来说，这是一家非常用心、专业的精品客栈。我非常推荐来西塘旅行的朋友入住 **慎园精品客栈**，也强烈推荐 **西塘** 这个美丽的古镇。

What a beautiful hotel, from outside to inside. It's located just outside Xitang Scenic Area, but they have a backdoor through the garden where the staff can escort and bring guests thru so you don't have to pay again for a ticket to enter the attraction. Every bit of the room is spacious, from the bathroom to shower area to the bedroom. I love how the bed faces a full ceiling to floor window where you can wake up to a lovely view while still lying in bed. The bed and pillows are firm and comfy. The water pressure in the shower is good but hard to control the temperature. The hair dryer is a little weak and took a while to dry my short hair. The room also came with a generous plate of fresh fruits. Service was excellent and friendly. Breakfast buffet was simple, nothing fancy but the usual staples are there and food quality is ok. The live noodles station was the best for me, can't go wrong with hot noodles soup & wantons, especially on a cold morning. Was given a beautiful tea cup as a farewell gift at check-out. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend anyone planning to stay a night at Xitang to stay here!

The Yunlaiji is a truly wonderful small, family run hotel.  We so enjoyed our visit here and wish it could have been longer.  The host family is so warm and caring, and was attentive to our needs to entire time of our stay.  We can not say enough nice things about them. The property itself is really beautiful, with a lovely courtyard.  We stayed in the Garden Deluxe Suite, which we would highly recommend.  There is a wonderful patio right on the water.  It was a great place to sit and watch the world go by, to relax and also to get some long overdue work done.  The room itself is spacious and has everything you need, including a huge round bath tub to soak after a day's exploring.  The hotel sits right outside of the Xitang Ancient Town, which we found works great, as it stays quiet the entire day, even when the tourist spots in the town are noisy and busy. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk along the water to the town, which you can enter free of charge after 5 pm.  We hope we get the chance to stay at the Yunlaiji again some day - it is a great place and we can't recommend it highly enough.

Even before we arrived, communication was excellent. The owner met us in person and walked us to the hotel, located in a charming no-cars area right by the river, just 100 meters away. On the way, she gave us recommendations that turned out to be absolutely spot-on, we enjoyed our meal on the beautiful terrace thanks to her tips. In the evening, we asked for a knife to cut some fruit, and instead, she kindly brought it to us already cut and peeled, along with mosquito spray, such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel’s decor is tastefully done, combining style with real comfort, and we even had complimentary famous Wuyi rock tea, the best type to try! To top it all off, we were upgraded! We slept like babies and were amazed to wake up after 9 and a half hours of uninterrupted rest. Truly a perfect stay.

Very nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets. Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good. I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones. The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions. The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

這次是帶着媽媽孩子來西塘遊玩，之前也是經過仔細挑選，選擇了花間府·巨海書院，裝修風格很喜歡，有點偏新中式風格，房間內還有一處小茶歇處。酒店服務很周到，贈送了歡迎水果和飲料小食，還有小活動可以參與，早餐很豐盛。酒店的工作人員無論是服務還是態度都特別周到舒心，入住時，男工作人員還幫我們將兩個大箱子提到了二樓房間內，離店前工作人員小張（女孩）還特別温柔貼心地與我們道別～是非常滿意的一次入住體驗～留下了很美好的回憶～

My short two days stay is the end, but feel reluctant to leave—really wish I could stay a little longer, This is the most wonderful Jiangnan water town I have ever visited—Xitan—natural,nostalgic, and peaceful.Everything here from food to accommodation, is incredibly convenient. The “Lao BanNiang” hostess is warm,attractive and thoughtful,making me feel the warmth of home even while traveling. In this fleeting journey of life,meeting kind and hardworking people is a true blessing and a stroke of fate. Xitang is beautiful because of its scenery, and genuine because of its people. I’ll definitely come back and stay longer next time.

I booked the Five Lakes Riverside Balcony Room with Main Channel View and Bathroom at Regalia Riverside for Dec 30 and 31, 2025. The room looks exactly as it does in the photos. The balcony has plug ins, teapot, teacups and tea prepared for you. Across the balcony, you can see the famous bridge and the boat station. You can also see up and down the channel. Room size is good for 2 persons. In the room is a heater/AC which worked perfectly and Ms. Sun also kindly turned on the heater since she knew my arrival time. The room has a kettle but no cups, coffee. Luckily I had brought my own. Also, know that the hotel does not provide breakfast - not a problem for me but for those we eat breakfast, just step outside. Location is perfect, it's in the heart of ancient town so easy to walk everywhere. Outside your door is snack street and at the end of the street is a ”food court”. Despite it's central location and opposite of the boat station, the noise was manageable. When I closed the balcony doors, I didn't hear anything (maybe too cold for people to loiter around?). Everyone was very nice and kind. Ms. Sun went out of her way to help me with my return bus ticket to Hangzhou, giving me directions on how to arrive at the hotel/meeting point where she waited for me, and her colleague even walked and waited for my car when I departed for Hangzhou. Going from Hangzhou to Xitang was an adventure as I read many different versions and my hotel told me another in my research. All in all, i highly recommend Regalia and Xitang! Thank you to Ms Sun and everyone for making my 2026 new year experience so memorable!

Stayed here for 3d2n on March 9 2025! The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is in Xitang which is a tourist area so come in after 5pm and the entrance fee is free! The hotel staff was really friendly as we left a note letting them know that my partner is a professional photographer so we booked a room with a balcony to take pictures. Before we checked-in, the owner offered to bring us to another hotel he owns in the area to see if liked the views there better but we still chose to stay in Manjuelong. The rooms are quite spacious and the hotel was quite quiet at the time. The hotel is situated inside a tourist area which was quite convenient for us to walk around and explore! If we go back to Jiaxing again, we will consider staying here again!

Very nice hotel inside the ancient town. The only ”issue” is that we were not advised that we had to pay a fee for the entrance in the town.
