JJeanGenieI rang the hotel the day before to ask for directions and they were very helpful with giving advice about getting discounted the entrance ticket for us as the hotel is located within the scenic area and the ticket is also valid for the 2 days we were there for. They also added me to a WeChat group with all their staff and everyone was extremely helpful in giving advice and recommendations. One thing was that the bathroom drain is a bit small and when I was washing my hair in the shower it got blocked by the hair (I have long hair that sheds a bit) and there was a bit of mini-flood happening in the shower, though that's more the design of the shower. Bonus: cats and bunny at the reception! Would definitely stay again if I'm visiting!

PPengguna TetamuTruly a gem. Xitang Ancient Town just round the corner from the hotel. Hotel and room is much better than the photos. Breakfast was nice with wide variety of local fare. Front desk staff during the day is so helpful, the lady arranged to send me to the long distance bus station at Gate 1 of Ancient town to buy our bus tickets to Suzhou. Actually it was a 8 seater van - very comfortable. Will definitely love to come back to this elegant hotel.

PPengguna TetamuThe Yunlaiji is a truly wonderful small, family run hotel.  We so enjoyed our visit here and wish it could have been longer.  The host family is so warm and caring, and was attentive to our needs to entire time of our stay.  We can not say enough nice things about them. The property itself is really beautiful, with a lovely courtyard.  We stayed in the Garden Deluxe Suite, which we would highly recommend.  There is a wonderful patio right on the water.  It was a great place to sit and watch the world go by, to relax and also to get some long overdue work done.  The room itself is spacious and has everything you need, including a huge round bath tub to soak after a day's exploring.  The hotel sits right outside of the Xitang Ancient Town, which we found works great, as it stays quiet the entire day, even when the tourist spots in the town are noisy and busy. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk along the water to the town, which you can enter free of charge after 5 pm.  We hope we get the chance to stay at the Yunlaiji again some day - it is a great place and we can't recommend it highly enough.

CCentrotuinaEven before we arrived, communication was excellent. The owner met us in person and walked us to the hotel, located in a charming no-cars area right by the river, just 100 meters away. On the way, she gave us recommendations that turned out to be absolutely spot-on, we enjoyed our meal on the beautiful terrace thanks to her tips. In the evening, we asked for a knife to cut some fruit, and instead, she kindly brought it to us already cut and peeled, along with mosquito spray, such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel’s decor is tastefully done, combining style with real comfort, and we even had complimentary famous Wuyi rock tea, the best type to try! To top it all off, we were upgraded! We slept like babies and were amazed to wake up after 9 and a half hours of uninterrupted rest. Truly a perfect stay.

GgirlfromarsWe had an amazing stay at Naera. We stayed in a few different hotels during our visit to Shanghai and this was by far the best. Room was large with a huge bathtub and a closet and packed with all the amenities we needed, including LOTS of bottled water, including Evian, fruits, snacks, bath supplies, a Dyson hairdryer, stationery for the kids including a magnifying glass, etc etc. The back hotel is also linked to a modern (gentrified) part of the water town with cool pop up booths and shops. It’s also a short walk to one of the entrances to the Ancient Xitang town. Staff were also warm and nice. We also went to the Organic farm but was let down by the drizzle = not much activities for the little one. Only downside I can think of is that the menus / maps provided etc are all in Mandarin and playroom, while clean and large, was totally packed and chaotic. Would love to be back.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe bed space was clean and comfy, the bed was firm and comfortable. Like many hostels in China, you'll need to put the bedsheets on yourself. Slippers and a toothbrush are provided. I checked in in the morning and the room was quite dirty and disorganised. I've been told that the cleaning lady only comes in around noon and the next few days were cleaner. There were also no bedsheets in my bed space but the reception was quick to provide me with some. The journey from the metro station to the hostel is quite bumpy and not easy if you have a heavy 28-inch luggage like me since you also need to cross a main road. One last thing, it seems like they're in operation for quite some time now because the environment is not as bright as pictured. There are mold on the walls of the room, peeling paint etc. Overall still quite a good stay with the price with about a 10min walk to the Confucius Temple area.

PPengguna Tetamu好好好，非常好👍🏻 主河道最寬闊的位置就在眼前，花船來來回回盡收眼底，陽台很寬敞，有張大桌子和大秋千，孩子超級喜歡，可以一直坐着發呆，聽聽搖櫓聲，煙火氣很治癒。 衞生還不錯，管家響應超級快速，最方便的是在房間就能點菜送到房間，對於不喜歡排隊等餐的懶人來説太友好了！ 房間提供充足的一次性用品，可以不用自備，暖氣也很給力。下次來西塘還會選擇入住的，節假日價格再便宜點就完美了！

JJoyMoonStayed here for 3d2n on March 9 2025! The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is in Xitang which is a tourist area so come in after 5pm and the entrance fee is free! The hotel staff was really friendly as we left a note letting them know that my partner is a professional photographer so we booked a room with a balcony to take pictures. Before we checked-in, the owner offered to bring us to another hotel he owns in the area to see if liked the views there better but we still chose to stay in Manjuelong. The rooms are quite spacious and the hotel was quite quiet at the time. The hotel is situated inside a tourist area which was quite convenient for us to walk around and explore! If we go back to Jiaxing again, we will consider staying here again!

PPengguna TetamuWe had a wonderful stay! It was a little tricky to find the place at first — totally our fault for not knowing the language — but a very kind local helped guide us right to it. The check-in was super easy, and the host made sure we had everything we needed, even showing us how to use the Wi-Fi and other amenities. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Xitang, close to everything. The only small downside (which had nothing to do with the hotel itself) was some noise from what sounded like a nearby party or club at night. It didn’t bother me, but worth noting if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, everything was perfect — highly recommend for anyone visiting this beautiful water town!
