"Hotel and facilities are outstanding. Two issues that greeted me when I arrived which took some of the gloss off. First the check in process was painfully slow (literally, I'm disabled) had to wait far too long to collect my card key. Definitely not efficient. Second had an additional charge of £14 for parking despite being a blue badge holder and no where close by as an alternative. Effectively taking advantage of my lack of mobility. Worse when I checked the website I had used to book a figure of £10 was quoted. Gripes aside this is a wonderful place to stay and the breakfast first rate."

"Overall, it was an amazing experience, aside from a few minor issues. **Positive:** 1. The location was good, although it was a short walk from town. However, there is a tram service that runs every 10 minutes, and the cost was £12 per day for three people, which provided unlimited travel for the whole day. 2. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options to choose from. 3. The hotel environment was pleasant, featuring a nice reception and lobby area. 4. The room included a safe where you could store valuable items like your laptop and tablet for extra protection. **Negatives:** 1. Our toilet bin was not emptied after cleaning, and they forgot to replace the extra tissue roll in the bathroom, which was inconvenient. 2. There were no slippers or facial tissues provided in the room. 3. The bar was very quiet, and we were so bored that we didn't visit again."

"It's a little far from Blackpool North Station, but the rooms are very spacious. It's not a super luxury hotel, but it's very clean and comfortable. There is also an elevator. The Henson hotel is a little far from the station and downtown, so if you have a large suitcase, it's a good idea to take a taxi. There are buses and trams running so it's fine even at night."

"Fair & Honest.   Negatives - 1) room (single with double bed) too small. 2) bar staff (gent) too cocky let the team down 3) no comeback when they checked my room out for cigarette smoke (from designated outside smoking area).    Positives -1) entertainment 1st class 2) all staff have obviously been well trained on how to respect customers.  3) very friendly holiday makers hotel  4) location"

"I booked this place over the Easter weekend, purely based on the fact it was two thirds cheaper than the chain hotels which were nearby. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk away from Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It is also a 1 minute walk away from the nearest Wetherspoons pub, South Pier & Sandcastle Leisure Centre...along with some nice local cafes, (Rendezvous), and cheaper end shops, sticks of rock were nearly half the price this end of the seafront. My expectations were low for this hotel, I've stayed in the area before and knew I wasn't booking 5 star. I was pleasantly surprised. We were met at the door promptly and greeted. What I first noticed was the electronic security lock on the door and on all rooms. The entrance was spotless and there were no funny smells of damp etc. The hotel was warm from top to bottom. We visited during storm Dave...so that leads on to our room. I booked a family room with 1 double and 2 single beds. We were given a double and a bunk bed, this wasn't a massive issue as my 2 children, who were older, agreed to make the best of what we had. I never complained as we were only here for 2 days. We had 2 separate rooms that were both en-suite with a toilet, sink and shower. They were fully stocked with toilet rolls, body wash/shampoo and hand wash, which was a nice touch. The beds were clean, the covers/pillows were basic, but again clean. The double bed was super comfortable,, the bunk beds were a good size, but probably could have done with an extra couple of pillows. All the heaters worked a treat and we were never cold for a minute, in fact the rooms heated nicely. We had tea, coffee & water in the room for our use too! There wasn't a view from the windows, but who cared, we were there for the rides, amusements and shopping. The hotel is located as stated near the Pleasure Beach, for high street shopping, you can either take a nice walk, which would be over half an hour or get a tram or taxi. We got Uber, which was around £6 each way from the hotel to Primark or Wendy's. That's right near Treasure Island and the Tower. I really can't fault this place, it was quiet, the host was always about and extremely helpful and the price was the best we were getting on an Easter weekend. Yes there were other guests here, no you couldn't hear every voice and or footstep. If you're on a budget or just want somewhere clean, tidy and warm, give this place a go. I took the pictures fairly hastily, the room was extremely tidy at the time we checked in. The pictures I took were at check out."

"My daughter and I stayed here overnight while she was attending a dance competition. The hotel was lovely. We were greeted with a smile by the owner, who was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We had a spacious, sea view room. It was clean, large enough to sleep 5. The bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of hot drink supplies. The toiletries provided were fantastic. Very happy with the price and would be happy to return in the future. Thank you Vinnie's, it's been great."

"We were dissappointed in the car parking situation. It wasn't exactly made clear that you need to drive into where it was marked exit and press for them to lift the barrier. Then unfortunately there was no room so had to call into reception to find out where we could park it was a bit stressful and could have been avoided. The hotel itself is very secure as you need to press for access to the entrance. Once up to reception on the first floor we were welcomed and allocated a room. The room was very tired with marked and scratched walls and ceiling. The bathroom had all the ususl facilities but a great big crack was in the tiles on the floor about two and half feet long. The shower head was dirty and the bottom of the main door was peeling away. The bed was two single mattresses put together which were obviously well used and meant there was a bump in between which wasnt very comfy. The bar was expensive for drinks and the staff seemed to multitask serving and cleaning tables etc. Some of the same staff were at breakfast and it just felt a bit overall short staffed. The breakfast itself was adequate but basic. We did notify reception on checking out of our findings as we are not usually ones to complain but the issues do make a difference and some just general maintenance."
