"The room is so spacious. Couple of gripes are i was unable to have a coffee as the kettle had seen better days and was really grubby inside. When we got out of the lift at floor 1 there was an overwhelming smell of ******** as if someone had been smoking it in their room. We just looked at eachother as it is a personal dislike of that smell. Its very distinguished and lingers - the smell remained each time we got out of the lift. Service was impeccable."

"last Visit to this Hotel was 45 years ago, some modernisation including new carpets nice touch, warm greetings from some staff, some just ignoor you , Had Breakfast one day was overpriced at £12 the lady runing the restaurnant was brilliant , kept an eye on everything topping up what needed to be topped up , problem with lift not going to all floors they say its due to waiting for a part, I visited a Liverpool Britannia Hotel they made same excuse for years, just get it sorted .
On the trip website it says Breakfast between 7 and 9 , its now 8 and 10, also said No Children, after noticing some I asked at reception, they said that was only for a year a while ago .
When booking I did ask as bein g a big person, could I have a Shower or Access room , it doid say only of available , but nothing done or said when booking, It was nice to visit the place again but sadly there are better hotels in Blackpool not much more money, so guess wont be Visiting again for anoher 45 years, some guets I spoke to hd to see 3 or 4rooms to find one that was clean and suitable"

"A stay to remember… for better and worse
I’ll start with the highlight: the staff at Blue Waters Hotel were absolutely exceptional. Warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly—they made me feel like I’d wandered into a live episode of Fawlty Towers, minus the chaos. Their charm and effort were the saving grace of my stay.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of TLC. My room’s curtains detached dramatically and collapsed to the floor, leaving my window fully exposed to the car park and main street. Not ideal—especially with a rather sad pile of rubbish lingering in the corner outside.
The leisure facilities didn’t fare much better. The pool was cloudy and didn’t feel well maintained, and the sauna was out of order during my visit. A shame, as I’d been looking forward to a relaxing dip.
Dinner was, frankly, disappointing. We ordered roasted pork, which arrived cold, and the vegetables were so overcooked they seemed to have time-traveled from the previous night’s menu. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just about passable.
In short: brilliant staff, but the hotel itself needs a refresh—both in decor and dining. If you’re coming for the laughs and location, you might enjoy it. If you’re after comfort and cuisine, you may want to look elsewhere."

Nnatasha6792Fabulous stay at the Best Western Carlton in Blackpool. The staff could not have done more to help, and the lady on the front desk was so friendly and chatty. They helped immediately when they realised I had a pram, toddler and 2 bags and was alone - even changing our room to make things easier. Lovely people!
Only downside was the thin walls, meaning we could hear every word of the 4am argument in the room next door!!

TThomasWe were dissappointed in the car parking situation. It wasn't exactly made clear that you need to drive into where it was marked exit and press for them to lift the barrier. Then unfortunately there was no room so had to call into reception to find out where we could park it was a bit stressful and could have been avoided. The hotel itself is very secure as you need to press for access to the entrance. Once up to reception on the first floor we were welcomed and allocated a room. The room was very tired with marked and scratched walls and ceiling. The bathroom had all the ususl facilities but a great big crack was in the tiles on the floor about two and half feet long. The shower head was dirty and the bottom of the main door was peeling away. The bed was two single mattresses put together which were obviously well used and meant there was a bump in between which wasnt very comfy. The bar was expensive for drinks and the staff seemed to multitask serving and cleaning tables etc. Some of the same staff were at breakfast and it just felt a bit overall short staffed. The breakfast itself was adequate but basic. We did notify reception on checking out of our findings as we are not usually ones to complain but the issues do make a difference and some just general maintenance.

PPengguna TetamuMy daughter and I stayed here overnight while she was attending a dance competition. The hotel was lovely. We were greeted with a smile by the owner, who was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful.
We had a spacious, sea view room. It was clean, large enough to sleep 5. The bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of hot drink supplies. The toiletries provided were fantastic.
Very happy with the price and would be happy to return in the future.

PPengguna TetamuHotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

PPengguna TetamuThe quality of this hotel was not great, but all we wanted was somewhere to sleep while we were in Blackpool so it served its purpose, and for the valid it was perfect.
Be aware that although the hotel says there is WiFi, it is only on the lobby and doesn't reach the rooms. We also didn't have a remote for the TV and it wouldn't work without, although we asked for one multiple times, the staff were unable to find one that worked for our TV.
The walls are very thin and you hear every noise from around the hotel. Luckily (also unfortunately) our room was the furthest away possible.
The water pressure on the shower was amazing. The hotel water on the tap comes out boiling hot straight away.
Overall, the quality of the hotel wasn't great, but for the price it was everything we needed

PPengguna TetamuClean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. £50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at £10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didn’t park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasn’t as bad as some reviews.

OOnce In A LifetimeDecent hotel for the price. Isn't the cleanest hotel but sort of acceptable. Would recommend to those looking for a cheap stay but if you have a little extra budget then better off spending the little extra for something better. Was allowed to check out later than usual which was very beneficial to get a little extra sleep in after enjoying the night out.
