"It’s around 13 minutes walk from JR Otaru Station, if you have luggage, just get a taxi to go there, only take around 5 minutes. This hotel is just too cute, a vintage vibe, lovely welcome drinks in classical lobby. My room is for single person, small but it’s fine. Japanese breakfast is amazing. You can have a canal view while you’re having breakfast. They provide free onsen or paid private onsen (2500 yen for 50 minutes). It’s a good stay."

"Great location. Within walking access to the famous canal and shopping street. The hotel had its own onsen and it was really popular. Across the street there was a really good restaurant serving tempura and soba. Hotel staff made us really felt welcome. Paid parking was a bit expensive but it was expected."

"Stayed here 3 years in a row during summer. Always booked the ocean view room which got spectacular view of water and yachts. Room size is decently big in otaru. We drive every time so the distant from downtown location is perfect for us. Aeon just next door so grocery shopping is minute walk away, Uniqlo and rabbit store also 5min by car. Excellent for family with baby/toddler. However the room is quite dated, a bit funny smell from the curtain in bathroom. But not really an issue to us. At last, staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is pretty good with venue facing the yacht club. I will likely rebook in the next otaru trip."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, and the room was perfect for us. The room had 4 beds and windows, which made it spacious, bright, and comfortable. The hotel is in a very good location, making it convenient to get around and visit nearby attractions. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean and cozy. We especially enjoyed the bathtub. It was a great way to relax after a long day, and our children loved it as well. Overall, we really liked this hotel and had a pleasant stay. We would definitely recommend it to families looking for a comfortable hotel in a good location."

"The lobby was beautiful and had an amazing retro feeling to it. Room was decently sized. The location of the property was right across from Otaru Canal and a 3 minute walk from Denuki-Koji and 8 minutes from Otaru Station. 服務：日式服務基本無處挑剔，唯獨前台與服務生英語口音交流有點障礙。旅店自帶一次接客服務，要是還有送客服務就完美了。 衞生：整潔無浮灰，所有物品疊放整齊。 温泉：和式温泉旅館等重中之重，兩湯輪換，半山腰的雪景同時俯瞰小樽，美極了，水温合適，設備齊全，就是換衣間因為年代久遠沒有擴建顯得有些狹小，不過在沒有幾個住客的旅館無傷大雅，有時可以享受到一人温泉。 餐食：帶一份晚餐與早餐，一泊二食。晚餐omakase，食材是獨屬冬季北海道的鮮美，口味因人而異，總體質量不錯；早餐經典日式早餐，清淡健康。 通勤：享受這樣富有韻味的温泉和式旅館，必不可少得忍受它不便利的交通，酒店在山上，若是沒有提前聯繫好接送，衹能打車。 設施：年代久遠卻不破敗，所有房間設施都有舒適的使用體驗。温泉區設施大部分使用體驗很好，保留傳統的用浴流程，吹風機稍顯老舊。

The location is quite nice, just a 10–15 minute walk to the main shopping street. The hotel uses a self-service check-in system, but the process is straightforward and not difficult at all. The room is surprisingly spacious, with a kitchen and laundry area, which was very convenient. However, the bed sheets and bedding are quite old, so it would be great if the owner could consider replacing them with new ones. The main issue during our stay was the gas canisters stored right in front of the entrance. I understand that they may be necessary for heating or other purposes, especially during the harsh winter. However, unfortunately, the gas smell got into our room, which made it uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. We had to keep the window open throughout the night to reduce the smell. I would strongly recommend that the owner consider storing the gas canisters somewhere else, away from the entrance and guest rooms. I think this would significantly improve both the comfort and safety of the stay.

Fantastic hotel, I lost my wallet and front desk staff requested housing keeping staff to search my room again after checked out. The housekeeping staff manage to find my wallet and return it to me. I am so glad that this is a trust worth it hotel, I will go back next year again.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected. The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

It was a cute boutique hotel with nice bonus facilities! Room is nicely designed and functional, with warm colors feel homey and comfy. Too bad we didn’t get the bath tub room as they were fully booked. Views from the window is mountaneous area, very nice! Bed and pillows are comfortable. Surface area for stuff are generous and practical, even enough space for sofa. Too bad they don’t give free coffee or at least instant coffee, only tea. No onsen. Music box night was awesome! Feels like a romantic dinner setting, but the smell of lamp oil was too much, gave me headache so I couldn’t stay for long, even though I would love to support the hotels and all of the polite and friendly staff by dining there. Staff are wonderful, smiles and polite and professional! During this trip we felt like Japanese staff in general are becoming a bit cold toward tourists but this hotel’s staff are not like that! We appreciate you guys. Thank you!

在別的平台看到的推薦，預訂了的雙人日式榻榻米房間，給我們帶來了意想不到的驚喜。最讓我們感動的是民宿老闆，符合我印象裏東北人的印象，既熱情又周到。 我們入住當天小樽下了很大的雪，到民宿的時候已經是七八點，老闆特意提前為我們房間開了暖氣，更巧合的是，我們入住的兩天恰逢老闆在小樽，得知我們要去車站但是行李又很多後，老闆提議主動開車送我們到車站，北海道真的是好温暖的地方，在這裏受到了好多人的幫助。 我們的房間在一樓，可以看到很漂亮的日式庭院，雖然恰逢大雪紛飛，庭院的景緻被皚皚白雪暫時遮掩，有一些可惜，老闆説到五月院子會非常漂亮，可以想見春夏時節，這裏定是繁花似錦、綠意盎然的絕美畫卷，期待下次在温暖的季節再來感受這份生機。 老闆是一個很精緻的人，民宿的公共區域始終保持整潔，日常用品一應俱全，尤其是設有兩間浴室的設計，完全避免了早晨洗漱的擁擠，細節處盡顯貼心。無論是房間的舒適度，還是老闆異國的温暖關懷，都讓這次小樽之行充滿了温馨的回憶。強烈推薦給所有嚮往日式風情又渴望温暖服務的旅人。

The thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste was a nice touch, and the microwave was handy for quick reheats. Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony. The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary. Important Considerations for Your Stay While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions. For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot.

Positive: 1. Great Location decent size room with double sized beds with big space to move around compare to most other Japanese hotel 2. love the indoor parking at basement garage, especially during winter no snow cleaning required every morning. Negative: 1. lift is out of service, very inconvenient for people with big luggage, had to carry all the way up to the 3rd Floor. 2. Fake carpets on stairs, almost tripped over couple of times. 3. Owner never responds when assistance needed, upon on check-in, the pin code been given is useless because the room door are always unlocked, actual key is placed on the table in the room. Tried to contact the owner via WeChat WhatsApp line phone calls none of above responded, just seemed like the hotel is unmanned the whole time. 4. Had a little incident one morning where one of the guest parked his car right front of the parking garage door, which blocked my way out, again had to contact the owner, never responded, got no choice but to contact police for help.
