Cari Hotel 4-Star di Otaru

Great location, just opposite the JR station. It’s just 2 mins walk to Sankaku Market. About 10mins walk to canal. If you have luggage and do not wanna drag around especially during winter, this is a great option. Room size is small but quite standard in Japan. Onsen is good and has a pin to enter for female. Breakfast is pretty good.

Such a cozy place! Perfect for a group of 7 ppl👍🏻 There almost everything you need in the apartment! Clean and warm☺️ Although the bed could be a bit softer, but it’s acceptable👌🏻 everything else is perfect😁 recommended to anyone wants to come to 小樽 Otaru ‼️💯

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected. The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

The hotel is new and modern, and its location directly opposite the Otaru Canal is convenient for sight seeing. The breakfast was delicious, and the onsen facilities were well-maintained. However, a serious lapse in basic operational standards significantly impacted my stay. I was assigned a room that was both unlocked and had not been cleaned. This is an unacceptable level of oversight for any hotel. What was even more disappointing was the lack of accountability from the front desk. There was no sincere apology or meaningful recovery effort to address the situation. While the property itself has strong potential, this incident raises concerns about overall quality control and staff professionalism. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements improvements to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Very convenient location if you are into skii/snowboarding. It’s quite centralized to majority of the slopes and only 30mins drive to Otaru town. Only downside there is no food nearby by the hotel itself has 2 restaurant. The Japanese one was superb, good food with reasonable price, sadly only open few days a week.
