"The check-in and check-out process was so pleasant and fast. I truly enjoyed the breakfast spread. So hearty and wholesome. The view and the location of this hotel is excellent as it is nearby to all the attractions. I even walked to the Arctic Cathedral along the bridge but most of all I got a free room upgrade to the Presidential Suite with the most amazing view and space. Thank you for making my stay in Tromsø phenomenal!"

"Simple cozy place nearby the area of Sommarøy, with a nearby convenience store for any replenishments! My wife and I went via car, so we cannot advise on the way to get there via bus. Parking is free, right outside the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and there was a good spread, with the restaurant serving dinner. Our time was short, we didn't manage to try the sauna facilities. We would have loved to stay a couple more nights!"

"I recently stayed at Smarthotel Tromsø and enjoyed my time there. The breakfast was really good, with plenty of variety to start the day. My room was neat and comfortable, albeit a bit smaller than I would have preferred, but it served its purpose. One thing to keep in mind during the winter is that Tromsø is very dark for much of the day, so you might sleep in later than planned. Overall, I recommend Smarthotel Tromsø for a convenient and satisfying stay."

"My husband and I booked a Superior King Plus room (which is supposed to have sea views) for 4 nights. We checked in late and were given a room on the 6th floor which looked out onto a main road and a petrol station. This room also had rubbish and a dirty sock in the bin. The staff were helpful and changed us to another room on the 10th floor from the second night, which had better views but a bad smell. Luckily we could get rid of it by opening the windows for some time. On our last morning, the hotel had a blackout and we got stuck in the lift with a flight to catch. The hotel is also a bit further from the town centre than other hotels. Having said that, the service of the reception staff was mostly very good and somewhat made up for the not-so-good parts."

"The atmosphere was lively and very festive. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive and the stay felt very luxurious. The room was also clean and spacious, although the positioning of the hanging lamps was a bit awkward and I sometimes found my shoulder hitting one when getting into and out of bed. The shower was also very large and decent water pressure and temperature control. The breakfast was amazing! Many options and very delicious! The view from the room was spectacular and the staff accommodated my request for a higher room. The only downsides were the laundry service is incredibly expensive, which was shocking as the hotel I had started in prior to this one did it for free. Also, room cleaning did not come to room one day and I had to make two requests to the front desk to get a fresh towel. It took quite a long time, but eventually did get me a new towel in the evening. The staff apologized profusely for the inconvenience. Overall, the stay was amazing. とてもにぎやかで、お祭りのような雰囲気でした。スタッフの対応は非常に丁寧で行き届いており、滞在全体がとてもラグジュアリーに感じられました。客室も清潔で広々としていましたが、吊り下げ式の照明の位置が少し微妙で、ベッドに出入りする際に肩が当たってしまうことが何度かありました。 シャワーもとても広く、水圧や温度調整もしっかりしていて快適でした。 朝食は素晴らしかったです。種類が豊富で、どれもとても美味しかったです。 客室からの眺めも圧巻で、高層階の部屋を希望したところ、その要望にも快く対応していただけました。 唯一のマイナス点は、ランドリーサービスが非常に高額だったことです。直前に宿泊していたホテルでは無料だったため、正直かなり驚きました。また、ある日は客室清掃が入らず、新しいタオルをもらうためにフロントに2回お願いする必要がありました。少し時間はかかりましたが、最終的には夕方に新しいタオルを届けてもらえました。その際、スタッフの方からは大変丁寧にお詫びがありました。 総合的には、とても素晴らしい滞在でした。"

"I requested for sea view but upon check in I was given a room facing a dark alley it’s horrible it’s my first time to Tromso. I went back to reception and paid a fee to upgrade to sea view room number 513. This room was breathtaking I enjoyed the night and morning view so much. A bit noisy coming from passerby due to the slippery walkway in front of hotel. The Pust access is located right in front of hotel. Hotel serves tea time and dinner as well."

"Very convenient for backpackers to cook and wash freely. Best if they can provide slippers at the door so that the dust or dirt will not make the floor dirty, like Japanese style. A shared toilet or a place with a mirror can provide hair dryer will be great."

"This is a 4-star hotel, but they didn’t even provide a complimentary water bottle for welcome, which was surprising. Even many 2-star hotels offer this basic service. I have stayed in both 5-star and 2-star hotels, and this felt disappointing. Small details like this really affect the overall guest experience."

"They will do daily cleaning in the room which is appreciated, but took away our spoons which the staff thought it was the hotel’s. And sometimes after cleaning, they didn’t provide garbage bag for the bin. We are also not notified that 24 December is their ‘holiday’ so the breakfast will start late, several group standing in front of the restaurant waiting it to open while we are actuall rushing to the airport. The staff did allow us in at the end, no chaotic was caused luckily."
