"The hotel is absolutely beautiful, exactly conforming to my idea of Nordic design. The room is a bit on the small side; it's perfect for one person, but might feel a little cramped for two. Breakfast is extensive and entirely self-service. The hotel's location is very convenient: there's an airport bus stop right outside, it's a 5-minute walk to the Arctic Cathedral, and the city center is just a ten-minute walk away."

"Front desk service was friendly and upon seeing my membership status, gave us room upgrades. Though the room was clean and modern, the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathtub has what looks like years of yellow staining, showerhead from the 80s, hairdryer would struggle drying writing on paper. The fact there were no photos anywhere of the bathroom means they know exactly what I'm on about. Would not stay again purely because of it."

"Despite the fact that it was early September, we took our chances and stayed two nights here in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights. So we paid extra for the panoramic glass cabin and boy were we ever rewarded with a show! The higher rate was definitely worth it as we had a great view from nearly anywhere inside the cabin. We also loved the breakfast, especially the warm croissants, delivered to our door each morning. We rented a car at the airport, and the drive with beautiful views of the lake was only about 30 minutes. If you plan to stay here, you need to rent a car as I’m not sure of any other way to get there. We ate our dinners in Tromso so we did not do the crab bake. The staff here went above and beyond making this place a true gem!"

"The best part was the night time view from our window. And now the reality of actually staying there, Arctic Mary Rooms "Hotel". 1. Nice front door,with a pile of junk ceiling high at the side. 2. Needed a torch to operate key code pad outside, making a loud noise with every touch. 3. Boots strewn all over the hallway causing me to trip when entering. 4. Misdescribed Superior Room, no mention of shared bathroom and toilet. 5. Only one thin pillow each, contacted the manager (he had emailed us, to ask him for anything we need) but absolutely no reply from him. Rolled up our quilts as pillows and winter coats used for blankets. 6. Kitchen table, worktops, sink and hob covered in dirty old dishes and food scraps. 7. Dishwasher rammed full and not working. Not even one clean cup or plate to be found. 8. Cigarette stubs outside our room and smokers at open front door. 9. Constant loud stomping up wooden stairs for the bathroom and toilet, playing loud music in the shower, wet towels always on the floor, dirty shower full of product bottles 10. Smeared excrement on toilet seat, I had to clean before use, and blood smear on the wall by the bin. 11. Second night at 0130 in the morning loud door bell was rung every few seconds for about 30 minutes, then at 0155 loud shouting inside, I had to get up and call down for quiet. 12. Third night, double booking of room next to us, family was thrown out after midnight, with 45 minutes of crashing and yelled arguments in italian until 0100hours Avoid at all cost if you don't want to be stressed out"

"The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the airport. After getting off the bus, you need to walk uphill a bit to reach it, which may be inconvenient for those with large luggage or heavy luggage. "One of the best hotel in Tromso! Location is fantastic. With the bridge next door, you get to take a leisurely stroll across to the Cathedral and beyond. Nearby the hotel, there’s the harbour and many other quaint local cafes that served amazing cakes. Explore the city by foot. In the hotel, you have everything that you need including the gym! There’s a rooftop bar and open space for you to take in the u obstructed view of the surroundings and harbour. You can even book an ‘Igloo’ for your drinks and dinner! The breakfast is amazing with a very good selection from meats to cereals and cheeses. Finally, i had an overcharge and the front desk was quick to respond and promised to refund. Kudos."

"This was a great location slightly out of the city to catch the Northern Lights without going on a tour (we saw it two nights out of five! Cabins were well kept and clean, we were two adults and two teens and there was enough space for everyone. It is 10mins walk to the bus stop to the city, of 40mins walk across the bridge to the city, both of which were manageable for us. Note that there aren’t many restaurants nearby. All in I was extremely happy we chose this place for the Tromso leg of our trip."
