"Smell terrible at entrance and corridor due to repaint /drain . Receptionist could be more helpful and friendly. The Receptionist that check me in didnt even bothered to smile. When i told her she gave a wrong room as already stated in the email. She was black face and even take back the welcome drink voucher. 😂 well i didn't really need one. The only good service come from your security and bellman otherwise for serive i will not hesitate to give 0 star. Room is very basic but clean. Breakfast ala-carte but not suitable for everyone. This is my first stay but if i ever come again for sure will not stay here again."

"Mercure Mactan went the extra mile to make us happy on our wedding anniversary. There was a cake waiting for us inside the room, and it was so delicious that we finished it right then and there. We were also upgraded to a seaview room which we appreciate a lot. All the staff were amazing - the server who was with us on the lift bring food for a guest, he told us about the amenities on the 3rd floor. The receptionist were amazing too, check in and check out was quick and everything we needed to know they made sure to tell us. Food was superb! Your pinakbet was my favorite. I would recommend Mercure to everyone I know."

"Solid place to stay, staff are super nice. It is a bit old, has some cracks in the walls and a few little bugs in the bathroom. The bed is comfortable and clean, hot water in the bathroom, A/C wasn’t strong but does work, cold water refilling available on each floor."

"The location is excellent, right in front of SM Mall, which makes everything very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, though the power outlets were a bit far from the bed, which was slightly inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was good, but the dining area isn’t enough big, so it can get crowded and there may be a wait. If you have a breakfast-included plan, it might require a bit of patience. Overall the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I would likely stay here again."

"Location is great. It’s near the airport, near the beach, many restaurants and convenience stores around. However the cleanliness of the hotel has so much more to improve. Pillowcases smelled used, so I had it replaced. The duvet cover also has some nasty smell. They do not clean daily. And when they do, they don’t replace towels. They are nice when I’m asking for assistance, but clean sheets and pillows should be a standard and I shouldn’t ask for it pa. Their pool on the third floor is not that safe for children, as some of the tiles are quite lifted up, and it could cause small cut if you’re not careful. But their infinity pool near the beach is great, it’s big and clean. However, water there is expensive, so bring some with you if you decide to go."

"The place is nice as expected but has a minimal timeline on the pool usage, it only opens from 7am to 7pm. That's one thing. Standout: their staff are really nice, very considerate. The father of my children visited us beyond the allowable time (i was not informed of their rules though) they're supposed to charge us for an additional fee but when I explained they did not hassle and understand the situation. So kudos to the front desk personnel whose wit is beyond measure. Overall our stay was a great 5 ⭐, because of this complex scenario. Thanks Crown Regency 😁"

PPengguna Tanpa NamaWe booked two rooms for 7 nights at the Sheraton Cebu Mactan. We are two families traveling together with three young children and a pregnant wife. We were excited for a relaxing vacation, but after just 4 days, we wanted to check out early. The hotel agreed to refund only one room (around 900–1000 USD), but refused to refund the second room. This decision was made even though the hotel is completely full (Chinese New Year, peak season). Our rooms could have been sold to other guests immediately, so there was no financial risk to the hotel. Why We Wanted to Leave Early: 1. Food Issues (Very Important for Muslim Families) The hotel is in an isolated location with no restaurants nearby. The on-site restaurants serve mostly spicy Asian food, often containing pork. As Muslim families with young children, we cannot eat spicy food or pork. This made every meal a struggle. 2. Transportation (A Nightmare) Getting a taxi is extremely difficult. · When we wanted to leave the hotel to go to the city, we often waited over an hour for a taxi. · When we tried to return to the hotel from the city (like Cebu), we waited up to 2 hours because drivers refuse to come to this hotel. · Even within the Mactan area, finding a taxi was not easy. · The hotel offers a transfer service, but it costs 2–3 times more than a regular taxi. For a family, this is not a practical solution. 3. Maintenance Issues On the very first day, we reported that the sink was clogged – water drained very slowly. We were promised it would be fixed. After 3 days, nothing had been done. On day 3, I personally told the General Manager, Mr. Robin Bernard, about the problem. He said: ”No problem, I will solve it.” But even after his promise, nothing happened. Finally, on day 4, housekeeping came to our room. We showed them the problem by running the water. They saw it immediately and called an engineer, who fixed it within 20 minutes. Mr. Bernard's promise meant nothing. The regular staff fixed it. Our Conversation with Management We requested an early checkout. Mr. Ross Bautista genuinely tried to help us. He suggested a possible refund for one room and arranged a meeting with his superior to discuss our case. That meeting was with General Manager Robin Bernard. Here is what happened: · He claimed he ”knew the situation”, but could not explain any details. We had to tell him everything again: about the children, the pregnant wife, the food, the transportation. · Throughout the conversation, he was arrogant and condescending. It felt like he was not listening, just waiting for us to finish. · We explained that the hotel was fully booked (Chinese New Year, peak season), so letting us leave early would not hurt his business. The rooms would be sold again immediately. · His response was shocking. He looked at us and said, word for word: ”You should not think about my business. VVerniThe best stay we had was at this resort in Cebu,we booked a villa and it was absolutely amazing experience. We had private room for our breakfast and had special cocktail and canapes which was amazing .The restaurant food was also so good.The in room breakfast Setup was done well ,all services in the villa was excellent . Resort is beautiful and very peaceful aswell.The spa treatment was excellent. Service for drop of to the airport was so convenient aswell. The staff are so lovely, friendly and so helpful.This place is a dream will definitely would love to come back and stay again.

PPengguna TetamuMy overall stay is good. The hotel’s location is ideal. Staff are pleasant.  Things to improve: no slippers. Free water refilling station would be good. The beds are not attached to the headboard and easily moves out of place.  I just noticed for two nights out of the four nights I stayed, There were loud noises that’s coming from outside the room from several people who seemed to be casually discussing, laughing and hanging out and it went on for several minutes. That was already 10pm and it was distracting.

TTW2024I love the water dispenser idea to reduce plastic use. Can take hot, normal and cold water from the machine near my room 605. I felt so familiar when I decided to book a night here. When I went into the room I opened my email to see that I stayed once on 21 March 2019. Room is very large and comfortable although not new. The charming of the hotel and staff are still the same. Breakfast is set and simple. Restaurant is closed at 21:30pm so we had to walk outside to have dinner. Easy to find places to eat around the hotel. Near 2 Robinson malls at the roundabout and near a convenience store. Deposit 1,000 Peso. 7th floor has very high walls around so views are blocked. If they renovate, hope that they would make glass fences instead.

The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort. However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return. Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests. In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

PPengguna TetamuI booked for a room with pool view which is more expensive than the rest of the rooms but i was greatly disappointed. We were placed in a room with a roof view and the view of another building! It was a waste of money! We only get to see the roof of something! Never again would i be paying extra money for a pool view when the hotel will not give us such kind of room as advertised. They said they will transfer us to a room with a pool view but it did not happen. We kept on waiting but it did not happen until we gave up. The receptionist was a little disrespectful and impatient. Worse still, they do not allow guests who have checked in the hotel to use the pool with inflatable play set and slides. I was mislead into thinking that guests can use the pool with inflatable play set for free. The hotel guests have to pay P600 per person in order for one to be able to use such pool and slides. I guess families with children have been more disappointed than me knowing that they and their kids could not use such pool for free. So those who will try to book this hotel hoping their kids can enjoy the pool with inflatable play set and slides for free, think again. You will be greatly disappointed because you will only be able to use the ordinary pools.

As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy. My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi. To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark. The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering. Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out. My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner. My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A. I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.
