While the hotel boasts a good location and prestige, the check-in process took a long time, and the receptionist didn't see my preferences in the system. The room assigned to us, contrary to my preferences, was on the first floor near the elevator, with twin beds, and a view of a plastic roof covered in bird droppings.
The hotel falls short of European 5-star standards. Rooms are small, mattresses too soft, and cleanliness is lacking. The bathtub is marred with remnants of plaster or grout, likely indicating mold. Windows are dirty, carpet stains are present, and room equipment is noticeably worn, like a malfunctioning kettle button.
The SPA zone poses issues as well. It turns out the jacuzzi is exclusive to VIP guests, requiring an additional fee. Thankfully, the sauna, steam room, and hamam are functioning correctly, but this might change since we've only been here for a day. The pool is small but sufficient. However, concerns arise from a shaky and potentially unsafe railing. Electrical sockets near the water on both sides of the pool, connected to lamps, raise safety doubts. Wooden elements around the mirror have fallen off and are taped. Poolside loungers are dirty.
Another issue is the room's noise. Windows are not soundproofed, and even when closed, there is a loud noise from a large device on the hotel's front wall—possibly a power generator or the exhaust from all air conditioners. Additionally, several times a day, we hear the singing from a nearby mosque, unpleasantly waking us each morning at dawn.
When I woke up on Sunday morning, I found a note on the floor instructing me to contact the reception. I called the reception, where I was told to pack up and go to the reception, where I would receive keys to a new room. In my opinion, the keys should have been delivered to my previous room, but despite this, I complied with the request.
After two sleepless nights, I was moved from a Standard Room in Block 1 to a Club Room in Block 3. The new room is decidedly larger and cozier, with a view of old buildings on a small street, which is a better view than before. It's also somewhat quieter. Unfortunately, I encountered mold around the bathtub again. Additionally, the bed was supposed to be a King Bed but turned out to be two connected Twin Beds. Furthermore, despite the change to a Club Room, the reception denies me entry to the club.
Safety and hygiene in the hotel are at a very low level. I can only hope that on the third night, I'll at least be able to get some sleep. However, I am thoroughly dissatisfied with my stay. Regrettably, I have to express a negative opinion about the hotel, as it falls below the standards I can accept, and numerous elements contribute to this. I left more tired than when I arrived.
