Stayed at this hotel for one night prior to leaving on a Carnival Cruise out of Jacksonville the next day. The location to the hotel in prox6to the cruise terminal was ideal (about 25 mins). Staff was pleasant, room was cool, comfortable and clean (great pillows). Breakfast was a plus!

This was my first trip to Jacksonville and the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown was the perfect spot to stay. It's within walking distance to the St John's River that runs through downtown. The Riverwalk is beautiful for a nice walk or a quick run in the morning. From the time I checked in with Rose and Jeff, to the day I checked out, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The entire hotel is well maintained and very clean. The Suite I stayed in was very roomy and comfortable. Rose at the Front Desk was fabulous - she is information central for any questions you have. She sent me to The Bearded Pig for great BBQ (tasty & tender), to St Johns Town Center for a full day of shopping (probably should have been 2 days) and several other places that I really enjoyed. If you like to walk, there are many places (a cute town square, wonderful pizza place and a fabulous craft cocktail bar - The Sidecar) nearby that will keep you entertained. I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown anytime you're staying in Jacksonville. Thank you all for a wonderful time!

This is an example of “what I ordered” vs “what I got.” As a frequent customer of Hilton it is rare that the photos are drastically different from the hotel accommodations. This was an exception. This hotel was not well maintained. All of the flooring, the lobby, elevator, corridors, etc needed cleaning. The carpeting in the room was both worn and not clean. Trash was left on every floor, including the guest room. I would not recommend staying here until a refresh or remodel is confirmed.

Great location, really pleasant and the rooms were very clean and spotless but the thing that make this such a good place to stay was the Staff front desk lady Ms. Angela Davis and maintenance guy Mr Joe they were very helpful & generous with their time also gave great advise with different activities to do in the area made us feel very welcomed and if I could I would stay again. Thanks for making our visit that much better

Melissa the housekeeper makes that place. We see her everyday running m, helping, always has a smile. She should be in the office but since she's been there we can see q big difference in how clean it is. Brandy will accommodate anyone that she can and always tries to avoid conflict. She should be manager. Chris and Keith come anyntime of day or night and cone quickly when. They are needed. One housekeeper was yelling about having nonfood but other than that itnwasngreat.

The lobby looked clean and inviting, and that's where it all ended. The room had a musty smell and although they started some upgrades, they failed to continue. The bathroom vanity was upgraded and the carpet looked good, but there was mold damage on the wall behind the entrance door. The other issues were the bathtub was old and the walls were painted to look like it was new. The tv remote was so old and faded you could barely read the display but it didn't matter as the remote didn't work at all with the tv. A big issue was the slide bolt lock for the door was missing which was very uncomfortable for me traveling alone. I had to put a chair in front of the door for safety and did not sleep very well due to being concerned. Shame on them for using a Quality Inn flag as this is not the ”quality” that is standard for this brand. Pictures attached.
