Really amazing vibe and brilliant value for money. Has all the niceties you hope for: air-conditioning with a ceiling fan too, lovely breakfast, comfy bed. The staff are what makes this place really exceptional though! They all consistently went above and beyond: they repaired a broken book I had very carefully with tape, found me a unique travel adaptor (I needed an Australian input, which is always annoying!) and one amazing waitress even lent me 5000TSH from her own wallet to pay the remainder of my taxi fair given I didn’t have the right change at the time (repaid of course, but so thoughtful)! Like, wow! A very special shout-out to Rachel the waitress who was always so hospitable and felt more like a lovely friend looking out for me whilst I was otherwise travelling solo—an absolute gem, although I could mention many others!

All the staff are very friendly, delicious food and an amazing beach. We really enjoy staying at The Loop Beach Resort in Jambiani. The good pole pole vibe is amazing. Thanks for all staff. Hakuna Matata!

After a week in Tanzania on safari, my husband and I flew to Zanzibar for the second week of our honeymoon. Although the photos of Loop looked good, we were blown away on arrival - the place is stunning. The pool area is the main event; very zen with a useful moat for rinsing the feet of sand before entering the pool. The white sand everywhere throughout the bar, restaurant and pool area, gives a real island vibe and a nice relaxed feel - I often didn’t wear and shoes from morning to night! It is been released and a couple of metres from Jambiani beach. The rooms are spacious with excellent storage and high spec bathrooms. Most of the rooms also have a foot bath outside to rinse your feet before entering your room. The bar/restaurant area has a trendy sprawling feel with great art work and great soundtrack (think mellow island beats). The food is very good and cooked fresh, although make sure you leave time - you’re on island time now! There’s also a great pizza place literally next door (enter on the beach) if you fancy a change. The staff are amazing; they remember you by name and are always smiling, they just seem so happy which is lovely to see. They all work really hard, touching up or brushing up here and there to keep the hotel looking beautiful. Monica was so positive and bubbly and Lucy was so chilled and sweet, like a surrogate mum or big sister. They put on a fantastic show one of the nights we were there which blew us away but the hotel is lovely and quiet at night in general so you sleep very soundly. Would 100% go back!

This place is simply a gem. Small, with a dozen rooms scattered around the pool and 20 meters from the beach, it has a home away from home vibe. The staff is great, the food is good and the rooms are decorated with great taste. We fell in love upon our arrival...we will be back !! Thanks the Loop for the heavenly stay.

We enjoyed this beautiful and relaxing hotell wery much! We ate lunch here almost evryday, and it was so good. We tried curry, pasta, tuna tartare, burger, thai beef salad, all starters - very delicous. Good service, good red wine. The pool is so fresh and with a beautiful view. The people working here are so nice and helpful! Thanks

After a 5 day safari in Tanzania and a hectic 24 hours in Stone Town, we stayed at The Loop for 4 nights before heading north to Nungwi. The Loop was our favourite stay in Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, we instantly felt relaxed and at home. The location is stunning with miles of beach at your fingertips. The rooms (we stayed in two) are lovely. They were simply designed and we really liked the emphasis on sustainability. The pool was great as are the loungers, and the beach house area is so chilled. We needed to relax after safari and The Loop is the perfect place to do it. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly (without being too much or trying too hard) and we were really impressed with the food options. We took bikes out to explore the villages and we also walked to Paje and back twice. Paje is really cool so I recommend heading up there for some activities or just lunch & drinks. Apart from this, we drifted from our room, to the pool, to the beach house for four days and it really felt like paradise. I would also recommend the little restaurant behind The Loop which did great food. Jambiani was our favourite area of Zanzibar. We much preferred the vibes compared to Nungwi which was busier and less idyllic. Thank you to all the team at The Loop! : )

Fantastic small hotel. The creative and beautiful design--from the feet-in-the-sand layout, landscaping, minimalist rooms, and interior decor--is excellently maintained, which we all know is the challenge in the tropics. But that's just the starting point--what makes this place special is how all staff are incredibly good at their jobs. Whether it's the exuberantly cheerful guest relations managers, smooth bartenders, friendly servers, careful and attentive house cleaners, ALL were warm, inviting, customer-focused and capable. When I returned from a sail having suffered some sea sickness, freshly grated ginger tea was immediately available. The common areas are lovely and comfy for lounging, with plenty of chairs around the pool, a beachfront massage room (massage listening to the surf!), wifi that satisfied a teenager (and they know their wifi!), and a copious and healthy breakfast and lovely meals by candlelight. The rooms were super clean, with safes, mosquito nets, thougtfully placed lighting, and a changing room (a mattress upgrade is in order, though it was fine). The food menu is priced on the high side for the area, perhaps because it's such a large menu, but uses high quality ingredients. In short, I would go back there in a heartbeat, and hold this up as a stellar example of what a small resort should be.
