Tuvimos un problema con la caja de seguridad y nos cambiaron de habitación inmediatamente. Las habitaciones son muy grandes y cómodas. Todo el personal es muy amable y dispuesto a ayudarte en cualquier cosa. Nos recomendaron un tour turistico y estuvo muy bien. El restaurante está muy bien y a precio razonable. Tienen servicio de transporte y te pueden llevar a cualquier sitio también a un precio razonable.

We really appreciated the boutique and quirky ambience of the hotel. Clearly the hotel has grown organically and the layout is a little complex which is interesting to uncover. Each space is full of character and very comfortable. Staff are charming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed in the Pool Villa one night which we loved, due to a leak we were moved to the Madiba Suite for our second night which has a huge private deck. Both suites were lovely, comfortable and well designed. Spa treatments were very good. We would happily stay again and recommend.

Normal we stay at woodmead but this time we selected this place. This is a beautiful building with a big location. Roomare spacious and very clean way better than express. The best part is they have bathtub. Beds were good and room had amazijg view. The location is very near to CBD . This is a big campus. It's properly gated with security guard. Overall it was very good location. It has a good ball room, lounge, a pub and nice resturant. We liked the lounge area where there is a big piano. The food was good and brekfast was also amazing. Staff was very courteous and very helpfull. Overall we loved our stay here. Highly recommended.

ALL of the staff were so sweet, friendly, and helpful from the front desk, to the bar, to the wonderful restaurant! It made our stay so pleasant. And the rooms were well appointed. The bar has a great variety of interesting cocktails and the food in the restaurant was fantastic as well as beautifully presented. We were so surprised when Jay-Lyn presented us with a Happy Anniversary dessert. As I said, the staff went out of their way to give great service. H

The hotel was lovely. Perfect location as it’s in the center and in the middle of everything. The service was spectacular! They cater to the guests needs. It’s very clean and overall a very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Almost everything exceeded our expectations, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you feel like royalty. The rooms are big and comfortable. The pillows sleep like a dream and the decor makes you feel like you're travelling back in time to when Marilyn Monroe was putting on her best show. Reception went out of their way to assist me with an extra bed for my daughter, free of charge. Breakfast was delicious. Someone is always asking if you want a coffee top up (yes please!). To the omelette chef, sir, I salute you! I LIVE for your omelettes. We even took advantage of the pool area, topped up my tan and enjoyed the clear, cool waters for a bit. If I were asked if there was anything they could do to improve our stay for next time, it would be a tiny one as this place already goes above and beyond. But, if anything, it would be to serve drinks at the pool. It would undoubtedly fulfil the dream stay. A couple of the waitresses came up to our table to tell my friend what beautiful eyes she has. If only they knew how much she needed the confidence boost, it's like God himself had sent them. Fire & Ice is simply the best! We were always greeted with the biggest smiles and best ”good mornings”, even told how radiant we look even though we'd just woken up. A lovely compliment goes a long way, so thank you! This Protea was fine with a younger more hip vibe but Marriott which is just across the road is more classy. I didn’t use the dining facilities. The location is excellent on Melrose Arch, very safe area and close by to many good restaurants. The best part is the Big Red City Bus stops right in front of the hotel. The location is an easy UBER ride to many of the tourist sites. The hotel serves an awesome breakfast with a large variety delicious of hot & cold foods. The dinner menu is also very good. The amenities are also very good. It offers excellent lounges and a beautiful court yard to relax in for drink, breakfast, coffee or to lounge by the pool. Nice place...though the furniture could do with an upgrade. We stayed in the apartments...they're OK...but we had to keep reminding them about towels every evening when we got back. They knew we were 4 in each apartment but only left 2 towels daily. Additionally, It was cold and when we asked for blankets, some got, some didn't get.

There are so many positives to 12 Decades Art Hotel. The hotel itself is really cool, and has a trendy loft type feel to it. I loved the room I was staying in. It was bright, spacious and comfortable. The bed was fantastic especially after a long long flight. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and responsive on Whatsapp for whatever you needed. The neighbourhood is really upbeat. There are great places to eat steps away, and a convenience store across the street for water and snacks. There is also a club across the street if you are into that kind of thing. Some of the improvements I would recommend are some that are already in the works. The first is the front door situation. They didn't have key cards for hotel guests and were waiting on replacements from the company. However this meant that you couldn't get in - or out - of the hotel unless someone was at the front desk. There were a few instances where we were stuck for a bit waiting for someone to come back. The other issue is that the building doesn't have a generator for loadshedding. I really appreciated the flashlight they provided but if you are staying on the upper floors you have to time getting up to your room before loadshedding occurs or expect to climb 5 flights (or 7 flights for my friend) - this also limited when we felt we could leave the rooms as well. Other improvements would be that they only have the 3 prong outlets here. I don't know if this is a Johannesburg thing or not but the rest of the country has both 2 and 3 prong outlets. All the travel adapters we brought only had 2 prong so we couldn't charge our phones. Also the lamps in my room were also 2 prong so you can't plug in the lamps they have either. There was never a light in the bathroom so it was dark the whole time. I also had no problem with this myself as I am a heavy sleeper, but if you need a quiet room this place isn't going to work as the club across the street plays music late at night.
