I have lived here for how many months? honestly the management Has a wrong way of treating their guest long stay or not.. I mean I was paying 650 everyday and never once did they remember to send a cleaner..don’t pay up by 10:41am and then cleaner comes after 10days and she isn’t supposed to clean?! For a place I have stayed at the same apartments for 4months?

Air conditioning was not working throughout our stay. Requested a fan several times kept being told none were available. Saw an employee taking a fan upto a room but we were still told none available. Upon requesting a compensation for the trouble we went through a fan miraculously appeared when it was almost time to check out

Holiday Inn Sandton does every top notch! While their restaurant is being renovated they upgraded the view that came with the delicious meals. Rather than relocate the dining room to one of their spacious internal conference rooms, they moved it to offer all diners the ”best seat in the house.” Starting the day with these views was inspiring and energizing. But the real boost of confidence comes in knowing I was staying where everything matters to this team as much as it does to me. See you again soon!

The Mint Hotel 84 gets the basics right with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service staff. My room was a standard double with a queen bed, it had everything I needed including a desk, coffee maker, and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was cleaned promptly every day. The breakfast spread in the dining area had a variety of options including cereals, toast, fruit, pastries, and eggs. The food was of average quality and freshness, nothing exceptional but sufficient to start the day. The service staff at the front desk and concierge were pleasant, helpful, and efficient whenever I had questions. They provided recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel has an outdoor pool and fitness centre, although I did not use the fitness centre during my stay. The hallways and public areas were well maintained and clean. Overall, the Mint Hotel 84 provides good, no-frills accommodations in a convenient location for exploring Katherine. The price point is fair for the quality you get, making it a solid choice for standard business or leisure travel.

If there were another Hilton’s in Johannesburg, that is where I’d be staying. But there is no other option for a loyal Hilton guy like me, so I spent 10 nights at the Hilton Sandton. I will readily admit that from day-to-day, the staff and the facilities were absolutely wonderful. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the Executive Lounge was very well serviced, the restaurant was excellent, the hotel grounds superb, the Business Centre efficient. I had pre-arranged airport pickup and daily business rides through the hotel and our driver MORGAN proved himself many times over to be reliable and flexible thoughout my stay. However, both the checkin and checkout process with the Front Desk were distasteful, disturbed my entire stay, and made me wish I was somewhere else. I had reserved and prepaid for a King room; as a long time Diamond member, I naturally expected some sort of upgrade, especially since I was staying for 10 nights. After 18 hours of flights, and a further 24 hours of layover, all I wanted to do was sleep. I had checked in online and knew my room assignment. At the Front Desk, I handed over my American Express Hilton card, and passports for my wife and I to HOWARD (“an experienced Front Office team member” according to hotel General Manager JOHN MCAREE). At first, HOWARD could not find my reservation and, next, once found thought it had been cancelled and, next, thought the reservation was in my wife’s name (it was not), and finally when he found the reservation, took a copy of my wife’s passport (but not my own for some unknown reason). I then had the temerity to ask if there any possibility of an upgrade. “Oh no no no” said Howard. “Why not” I asked. “Because you checked in online. Once the room is assigned, there is no changing it” said HOWARD. I knew from experience this was rubbish and not in compliance with Hilton policy or procedures. Indeed, when I checkedin online, the Hilton website said that an upgrade would be made available if possible. So I gently persisted in my questioning, and Howard gently insisted that no upgrade was possible since I had checked in online. I believe it was only when I asked for the business card of the General Manager that HOWARD checked with a colleague and, indeed, an upgrade was magically offered. It was the lowest level of upgrade possible, but something is better than nothing. I thanked him for the upgrade, and again asked for the GM’s business card. They had none. Indeed, they wrote down his name for me (three times with three different spellings) but did not know his phone # or email address. (I later googled him and got both). Perhaps due to this little interaction, HOWARD forgot to tell me about the Business Centre, the gift shop, the free shuttle to the local mall, hotel restaurant hours, the WIFI code, the hotel spa, or any of the other hotel services. He did mention the Executive Lounge several times in a tone approaching reverence. Never in my 20 years of experience with Hilton

Quite honestly, the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night and I can't wait to come back. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a garden suite and were welcomed with a glass of bubbly on arrival. A concierge assisted with our suitcases and the welcome from the reception, door staff and concierge team was wonderful. The cleaning staff were lovely and the room and hotel were cleaned to an incredibly high standard. Security around the hotel is superb, we were visiting from the UK and felt completely safe. We were checked in and out of the car park and the security and car park staff were friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the bathroom was stunning. The toiletries were very high standard. .Our terrace was beautiful and we sat relaxing, looking at the gardens. The bar area is great, we enjoyed a drink just taking in the stunning decor. Breakfast was delicious, everything you could wish for. We had a walk around the pool area afterwards and next time we stay I'll book a spa treatment. We walked over to Monte****** during our stay, it's great to not need the car, so that we could both enjoy a drink with our dinner. I can't wait to come back! I've found my Joburg 'go to' hotel. Overview: Located in the heart of Johannesburg, The African Pride Melrose Arch is a luxury boutique hotel in the vibrant Melrose Arch district. The hotel has spacious rooms, a rooftop pool, and a bar. They have various dining options, including their signature restaurant (Aduna Bistro). The location of APM allows you to start your exploration of JoBerg easily. Staff: 5/5 The African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel (APM) staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Welcome drinks, smiles, professionalism, and a great source for local information. All staff members were amazing. Special acknowledgments to Pretty and Mr. D!!! Also, a special shout-out to the lady who delivered the birthday gift to our room. Sorry, we never exchanged names! You know who you are! 😊 Staff makes your hotel; somehow, The African Pride got it right with their entire team. Hotel Room: 4/5 The rooms at the hotel are spacious and beautifully appointed. They have all the amenities you could possibly need, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, well-lit and spacious. The Pride, though kept well, was slightly dated. There should be some type of assessment of each room so that they are able to keep its mystique intact (it’s time to get rid of every DVD player in your hotel… It's ok, no one will notice) Hotel Grounds: 5/5 It’s situated in Melrose, so the hotel grounds are also part of the Melrose in a way though they do have a pool area, which is spectacular. They also have an amazing restaurant attached to them where you can pick up an amazing breakfast before starting your journey touring the sites in Joburg. Location: 5/5 The location in Melrose Arch is a huge plus. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance, so you'll never run out of things to do. Conclusion: 4.75/5 I highly recommend the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in Johannesburg. You will surely enjoy your stay while you visit JoBerg. Things to be aware of: Power issues plague the entire country. Places like African Pride have backup generators to assist with making your experience more enjoyable. When you have temporary blackouts, it is because the generator is assisting to maintain power to the entire building. Anyone who blames APM for power issues should be more aware of the countries they visit. APM doesn’t appear to have a fitness Gym on site, but you have access to a nearby gym, which is from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., I believe ( I could be wrong). Go to the front desk. I had the MOST amazing stay at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Johannesburg Melrose Arch. It felt like my home away from home and all of the staff felt like family. I had the smoothest check-in EVER thanks to Londiwe. She was SO welcoming, made me feel very appreciated as a Marriott Bonvoy member, and assured me she would be available for me throughout my stay. The room was beautifully appointed. I dined at the hotel restaurant my first night and received amazing service from Etwart and Busi. After 15 hours on a flight from the US and navigating customs, it was great to be greeted by beautiful smiles and warm energy at the hotel restaurant. the next day, I arrived at the breakfast area. Breakfast was phenomenal. I have a dairy-allergy. There were lots of fresh options available and the restaurant staff was more than willing to answer my questions regarding my dietary needs. I truly appreciated this. Each morning as I attended breakfast again, the team welcomed me with a bright smile, had my Americano ready, and continued to be attentive. The staff continued to make my stay feel easy and comfortable. One of the masterminds behind my AMAZING stay was Karabo. Karabo was always available to answer questions. He was very attentive and made me feel very welcomed. My checkout experience was a breeze thanks to Phemelo and Ntombi. I would also like to acknowledge Thamie, Abigail, And Gcina. There are really too many people to name. I have stayed at Marriott hotels all over the world and this experience was TOP-TIER all around! Being a solo traveler so far from home can feel intimidating. But staying at a hotel like this with such an excellent team, made a great trip PERFECT. On the last day, many of the staff came to wish me farewell and extend their wishes for safe travel. I am truly blessed. I have stayed at other hotels in Johannesburg before, but from here on out, I will ONLY be staying at the Protea Fire & Ice!!

The rooms were spacious. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing and I enjoyed the buffet breakfast as there was a variety to pick from. The pap and vleis was my most favourite meal and Innocent the barman made our visit to the bar a memorable one.
