Overall had a nice and pleasant stay. Was only there for one night. Check in staff was pleasant but not very warm and welcoming as i have experienced at other hotels. Rooms were well sized, bathroom was clean. Overall the shower was disappointing as it wasn't a tradional shower head, it was a handheld shower which was positioned from higher up. And no slippers were available in room.. however it was still a pleasant and good stay considering the fair price.

The house located in a very good area, the room is very clean , the problem is that the house owner didn't welcome me in the begging because he didn't notice my booking, I didn't get the breakfast as he didn't prepare for me and for sure, there was no welcome fruit, I think better any one want to go there should call 1 day before he arrive

The staff at the Westcliff have made this entire experience truly remarkable. From Reception all the way to the staff at the spa, every member of staff made this stay and our wedding something so special. The food was also absolutely delicious and everything we ate was amazing! to make a special note about Kevern, from the moment we sent our first email he has gone above and beyond to not only make us feel welcome but to ensure every step of our wedding journey went perfectly. He ensured that every milestone was an event in itself and we feel like he is the main reason why we had such an incredible day. He was controlling everything in the background so that we weren't stressed about anything which we appreciated so much. He also made sure that we got our alone time together on our wedding day in the rush of everything which is the time that we cherished most. Kevern is not only an amazing leader of his team but also such an amazing person and we could not be more thankful of everything that he did. We feel part of the Four Seasons family and we are extremely grateful. Thank you to everyone at The Westcliff.

Picked this hotel due mostly to location, stayed only one night. We used the Gautrain to get to the hotel from the airport, it was an easy and safe walk with luggage to the hotel along a pedestrian only street. Check in staff were very friendly and offered us a much needed cool welcome drink. Room was wonderful, AC was working and we each had a generous bottle of water, if there was any load shedding that night we did not notice it. We decided to dine in the hotels Proud Mary restaurant after noticing it seemed to be the busiest restaurant on the street, we were not disappointed, we had an excellent dinner and breakfast the next morning. Door staff stored our luggage the next day as we toured around a bit, and when we returned to pick it up they offered us a lift to the Gautrain station in a golf cart, which was really appreciated. This hotel and restaurant exceeded our expectations, wished we had time to spend another night.

No breakfast was provided and they said they don't provide breakfast after I asked one day There are kitchen utensils in the room with no cooker or stove.

Perfect location before the start of our trip with Intrepid. The hop on hop off bus stops right outside, it has indoor access to The Zone. Great staff, clean & comfortable rooms, AMAZING breakfast, freezing pool haha. If you like to people watch stay on the side overlooking the road.

The hotel has spacious rooms, a rooftop pool, and a bar. They have various dining options, including their signature restaurant (Aduna Bistro). The location of APM allows you to start your exploration of JoBerg easily. Staff: 5/5 The African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel (APM) staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Welcome drinks, smiles, professionalism, and a great source for local information. All staff members were amazing. Special acknowledgments to Pretty and Mr. D!!! Also, a special shout-out to the lady who delivered the birthday gift to our room. Sorry, we never exchanged names! You know who you are! 😊 Staff makes your hotel; somehow, The African Pride got it right with their entire team. Hotel Room: 4/5 The rooms at the hotel are spacious and beautifully appointed. They have all the amenities you could possibly need, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, well-lit and spacious. The Pride, though kept well, was slightly dated. There should be some type of assessment of each room so that they are able to keep its mystique intact (it’s time to get rid of every DVD player in your hotel… It's ok, no one will notice) Hotel Grounds: 5/5 It’s situated in Melrose, so the hotel grounds are also part of the Melrose in a way though they do have a pool area, which is spectacular. They also have an amazing restaurant attached to them where you can pick up an amazing breakfast before starting your journey touring the sites in Joburg. Location: 5/5 The location in Melrose Arch is a huge plus. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance, so you'll never run out of things to do. Conclusion: 4.75/5 I highly recommend the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in Johannesburg. You will surely enjoy your stay while you visit JoBerg. Things to be aware of: Power issues plague the entire country. Places like African Pride have backup generators to assist with making your experience more enjoyable. When you have temporary blackouts, it is because the generator is assisting to maintain power to the entire building. Anyone who blames APM for power issues should be more aware of the countries they visit. APM doesn’t appear to have a fitness Gym on site, but you have access to a nearby gym, which is from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., I believe ( I could be wrong). Go to the front desk. Nice place...though the furniture could do with an upgrade. We stayed in the apartments...they're OK...but we had to keep reminding them about towels every evening when we got back. They knew we were 4 in each apartment but only left 2 towels daily. Additionally, It was cold and when we asked for blankets, some got, some didn't get.
