In January 2024, we spent three wonderful nights at Anil Farm House in Sasan Gir. It was our first visit to both Gujarat and Gir, so naturally, we had a few concerns. But from our very first interaction with the team until checkout, we were made to feel completely at home. When we contacted them for a booking, one of the managers, Mr. Kumar Kami, gave us a piece of advice that stood out: he suggested we prioritize booking the safaris first and assured us not to worry about accommodation. This was refreshing, as most properties push packages with extra charges for safaris and stays. The honesty and transparency impressed us so much that we decided to book our stay at Anil Farm. Our check-in experience was equally smooth. Though Mr. Kami was on vacation, the other manager, Mr. Hassan Baloch, warmly welcomed us. We were given a spacious, airy, and spotless room with a balcony overlooking the Hiran River. The view was serene, and the food served throughout our stay was excellent. Every staff member was polite, attentive, and eager to help, which added to the charm. Mr. Baloch, a Gir native and a well-known figure in the safari circuit, handled our safari arrangements flawlessly. He has deep knowledge of the local wildlife, especially the lions, and ensured we had gypsies booked for all five safaris. After seeing plenty of lions in the first four, we decided to skip the last one. Mr. Baloch also entertained us with his incredible wildlife stories and personal lion encounters, making our experience even richer. The biggest highlight, however, was meeting the owner, Mr. Samsuddin Jariya. Humble, hardworking, and incredibly down-to-earth, he is the heart and soul of the property. Anil Farm is the result of his years of dedication, passion, and effort. His values are clearly reflected in the way his staff operates - with integrity, warmth, and care. Mr. Jariya personally ensured we felt connected and even invited us to return, which we absolutely plan to do.
