Hotel 4 bintang Katoomba yang Popular

Das Zimmer war schön und gut geschnitten. Es war sehr sauber und wunderbar war vorgeheizt. Obwohl wir vor Rezeptionsschluss ankamen, war der Empfang unbesetzt und die Unterhaltung über einen Kommunikationsknopf sehr unfreundlich. Als Nachts ein durchdringender, lauter Dauerpfeifton für ca. 2 1/2 Stunden das gesamte Hotel flutete, wurde trotz mehrmaliger Kontaktaufnahme über diesen Knopf eine Lösung dieses sehr unfreundlich Problems abgelehnt. Das Zimmer war wie gesagt schön, aber die Art mit Gästen umzugehen unmöglich. Daher würden wir dort nicht mehr übernachten.

Stayed recently on a swimming team and had a number of rooms booked - every room was very well presented and clean. The rooms were quiet and staff were friendly. My team really enjoyed the stay and we would very happily stay at this place again.

This is the grand old dame of Katoomba, sitting in an elevated position at the top of Katoomba’s main street. An elegant hotel operating since 1883, it is steeped in history. In 1927 when the then Duke and Duchess of York (future King George VI and the Queen Mother) visited the Blue Mountains, they had lunch at the Carrington. It was fully booked when we recently did a Blue Mountains short-stay so we only had drinks here. Even just for drinks, it is worth stopping to soak up the historic character, tradition and charm. We had one drink in the Champagne Charlie cocktail bar but, despite its beautiful glass domed ceiling, it was a little soulless, perhaps because it seemed to be a bit of a thoroughfare. Time for a second drink and to try a different bar. We moved to the lounge area at the back of the hotel, where we found a much more comfortable space with an open fireplace and comfy lounges in a large Downtown Abbey-like room.

We had hoped for a special wedding anniversary weekend with the luxury of this sort of hotel was offering including the Christmas in July dinner. The venue is lovely, close to the town centre, with plenty of on site parking. Our room was comfortable, the towels appeared to be grey & were thin, time to be replaced! We are really disappointed with the food and the quality of the service in the dining room, it was very amateurish at times. The poached eggs for breakfast were hard, the Christmas dinner ordinary and whilst happy to pay extra for the wine, (albeit with a very limited choice), we were asked to pay extra for tea or coffee at the end of the dinner! The music was a lovely treat. The only shining light was Michelle, she was warm & welcoming. We won’t be returning.

One Of a kind. This hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, the staff are pleasant nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was just perfect and Ling our waitress was delightful. I would recommend a room with a view. I cannot fault this hotel, and I have stayed in many all around the world. Great customer service, clean, old-world charm at its best, close to all attractions and eateries and nice fireplaces to keep you warm. Would I stay again most definitely.

Das Motel ist sehr nahe an dem Touristen-Hotspot von Katoomba gelegen, den Three Sisters. Dadurch ist es allerdings auch etwas weiter vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, ca. 30min zu Fuß bis zum Bahnhof und den vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Zimmer sind alle neu renoviert und hübsch eingerichtet. Zudem gibt es außen vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und sogar eine BBQ-Ecke. Leider fehlen größere Mülleimer und die Türen zum Innenhof sind etwas hellhörig. Zum Personal und Service selbst können wir nicht viel sagen, da wir mit diesen nicht viel im Kontakt waren und uns auch selbst Frühstück zubereitet haben. Beim Check-in und Check-out lief alles reibungslos ab.

This old world charm hotel is authentic in many ways. From the beautiful stained glass windows, the three fireplace common rooms and the mix and match furniture scattered throughout the hotel. Staff are friendly, location is equidistant between Katoomba station and Echo Point which is very convenient as a base for lots of options. Our twin room was no exception of an old world charm hotel. Effectively two rooms with a bathroom off the room furtherest from the door. This makes sense if one of you is more susceptible to night time bathroom visits. Stay comes with complimentary breakfast, so wise up to travel booking sites that tries to sell you breakfast. Visited in a peak travel period during FIFA world cup so prices were higher. The cute hotel bar is only open to 6pm - unfortunately didn't use it but would have if it was open till 7pm. Guest parking was full but plenty of available street parking.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights with breakfast included and paid $1,200. The location of this hotel is awesome, it's only a few mins away from the 3 sisters and some local hikes. The room itself we found wasn't clean, finding rubbish next to our bed, rods missing from the bathroom including some black stains in the grout, the rain shower also looked a little unclean too....and the bed was definitely not queen as advertised but a twin size and was VERY uncomfortable, half the bed was slanting down. We did ask for this to be fixed, although there was some improvement the 2nd night, we didn't sleep well again for the 2nd night which meant making the most of our trip was difficult because we were so tired. I am so surprised that for a supposed luxury stay that has such wonky beds. I've stayed at Toronga Zoo in Sydney in a tent that had more comfortable beds than this place. The view is amazing from the room looking over the Valley but if you step outside, there's no privacy whatsoever as you can see onto your neighbours balcony and room, so we kept our curtains closed for the most part. The restaurant was excellent but the waiting staff were not very good at explaining the menu or how the courses were going to work. For a hatted restaurant I was surprised, perhaps they were low on hospitality staff. The food and wine was excellent and very much enjoyed it, you can also enjoy a drink in their lounge area in front of the fire which had a very good Ambien. The receptionist was the saving grace of the service who was very accommodating and friendly, she was an absolute super star grabbing us coffee from next door when the cafe was closed. All in all, the experience was OK, it definitely wasn't worth the $1,200 we paid, when we next return to the Blue Mountains, I would stay elsewhere for that kind of money.
