I extended my time here because it was so convenient great view out the window, extremely friendly people and clean safe. They even have Massage downstairs in the lobby, which you can also call into the room just everything you could ever think of. It’s very nice.

The hotel is very clean and the room has no smell of smoke at all which we really appreciate. Shower pressure is strong. All amenities are provided even kids toothbrush and slippers. There’s self service laundry at the ground floor for a small fee. There’s a simple breakfast provided consisting of porridge, buns, vegetables and boiled eggs, soy milk and a fruit. Location is great within walking distance to the malls and 西关 night market. We also walked to the Aqua market for the fire show at night. There are many eateries around the hotel.

The office boy who clean the room is very nice and honest. I was so panic when i left my pocket money in my room :(, but when i back to the hotel, thank God, i still can get my pocket money back. Actually the recepsionist call me and and sent me message on wechat, but i could not receive the messange and call because i don't have internet data, they try to inform me that i left my pocket money, because at the time on 9 am, i checkec out to attend the cruise trip to Yang Shuo. I really appreciate that still have honest people on this world, thank you 🌹. I also want to appreciate the sister who help me to book the cruise trip to Yangshuo with good price. I am sorry i took you time with alot discussion because i am confusing if i have to take 1 or 2 days for the trip, since i had book for my hotel and trip from yangshuo back to guang zhou directly, not back to Guilin again. The sister is very patient explain to me, she is friendly and informatif. Thank you 🌹. I like this hotel, because its very close to the restaurant and shops, they also prepare the welcome drink and also gift me 2 pcs big lo han guo 😍🙏🌹. A delightful and charming bistro hotel, perfectly situated for exploring nearby scenic areas and major sites. Staff are among the nicest and most helpful we’ve encountered thus far, going out of their way to arrange trips and follow up with any problems. Our room was attractive in zen style with a tatami looking down on a canal where fisherman sat with their lines. The in house cafe supplied a range of coffees and juices for guests and nearby eateries, shops and a bakery adequately provided for our dining needs. We highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent location within walking streets but in a quiet area. Only 500m from Exit E of Chaoyang Square metro. Many eateries around and is a great hotel for first timer to the city. For longer stay, it is possible air laundry on level 5. Friendly reception who helped to collect my online purchase. Definitely a hotel that is value for money.

Was slightly concerned about noise levels reported here but had no issues with that, though room was on the second floor on the restaurant/street side of the building. Simple but appealing room with balcony. All the bathroom fixtures etc worked well. It's a nice guesthouse, not an urban 5-star establishment, so the 5 stars I have left for the facilities are with that proviso in mind; I don't think there was an elevator, for instance. Ate early at the hotel restaurant on the terrace just outside its entrance and very much enjoyed the food--good variety, cooked well. (Unexpectedly, the restaurant was booked full the next morning with a large tour group of some sort, so grabbed a bowl of mifen at a nearby breakfast place instead.) The real reason for leaving this review is to convey my pleasure with the helpfulness of the staff. The English-speaking women manning the reception desks were gone for the day when all power in the building cut out around 11pm. The night manager at the front desk informed me that the entire city was without power, and nothing of this nature had occurred in the past few years. (I went down to check because some hotels in China economize by turning AC off during the night, but it was clear that all power was out for the entire neighborhood at least.) He then kindly handled over a portable power bank for my phone when I mentioned it was running low. Back in bed in the dark I then got an unexpected text that my flight from Guilin to Shanghai the next night had been canceled. Wondering why, the front desk staff told me that heavy storms were expected. This would mean that all other flights would be cancelled too, and anyone like me who had to be elsewhere would be scrambling for any remaining seats the following day. At this point I was worried, as I had an international flight to catch. Remembering the train station not far outside Yangshuo, I asked about train options, and that was when a young woman who works at the hotel named Xiao Yang 小楊 came to my rescue. She pulled out her cell phone, checked the train schedules for me, gave me a couple options, recognized that only a handful of tickets remained on a high-speed rail train leaving from Guilin around midday and arriving in Shanghai before my canceled flight would have arrived. She used our passport info to book me two tickets on the train (fronting what must have been her monthly salary to do so, no questions asked, for which I immediately reimbursed her--download and validate Alipay before arriving in China folks, it's an essential tool). Took a car to the Guilin north rail station the next morning, made some fast friends in the waiting hall, and was then on the way to Shanghai before the storms hit. 小楊's willingness to drop everything and care about the travel woes of a random guest like me allowed me to totally avoid the nightmare of rebooking flights and hotels amid a scrum of other travelers to make it to Shanghai in time. Power came back on at 2am, I returned the power bank in the morning, and Xiao Yang was nowhere to be found. So thank you Xiao Yang, and thank you to the Riverview Hotel for employing people who care about their guests.

WOW !! We were absolutely blown away by this amazing Hotel. We couldn't believe that everything looks just as good in real life as you see in the photos. We booked the room which we believe looks the best and has the best view (located on the top floor) and were so happy we chose it. Staying here was such an amazing and unique experience that we can't wait to stay here again for our next trip to China. Here are the highlights of our time here: 1) As mentioned before, our suite has 100% the best views of any Hotel in Yangshuo. It really does have a 270 Degree view and you can also see the sky thanks to partial glass roof. 2) The whole area is very peaceful and quiet, perfect for a getaway from the busy life in the city 3) The Hotel's staff are very friendly and helpful, ready to assist you with any request at any hour. One of the best customer service experiences we ever had! 4) The entire building and our room was very well maintained and clean 5) There is also a lovely swimming pool which we did not have the chance to use but it looks very nice 6) The location is simply perfect for what we wanted. And considering how cheap the taxis are (less than 10 Yuan to get to the city centre) it's well worth staying here. You can also walk for about 20 minutes to get in the city. 7) Although it is not technically a full service hotel, we really appreciated all the services provided, especially the daily housekeeping when they replaced our towels, etc 8) The video projector is a nice touch, and so is the HUGE bathtub which can probably fit 4 adults 9) As Westerners we also really appreciated the electronic / japanese-style toilet with automated flushing and all the functions 10) The air conditioner is surprisingly powerful and can easily keep up with very hot weather even if you open all the curtains Things worth noting: 1) The mattress was a bit firm for us and the pillows a bit too thin for our liking 2) The projector is set up for Chinese users and, unless you cast from your phone or mirror the screen, you won't have much luck 3) The bathtub would have been even better if it were jetted (like a jacuzzi), but this is not really an issue Overall this is certainly one of the best hotels you can choose in Yangshuo and we can 100% recommend staying here.

The hotel is newly renovated, and some part of the room at the lower floor still under renovation. Our room is facing the main road rather than the school, so I think the view is better and more quiet here. The staff was very friendly and kind to let us do the early check in when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay and don’t mind staying here again.

出差南寧，在動車上臨時訂的酒店，網上評分很高，所以選擇了這裏，酒店位置就在步行街裏面，樓下就可以逛街，晚上還可以去看打鐵花，三街兩巷吃飯，還有很多特產可以買，小吃很多，前台小姐姐很親和，還給我升級了房間，升級的房間還是落地窗的呢，採光很好，雖然在步行街內，但是房間隔音很好，很安靜，5樓的客房阿姨服務很好，笑容很好，第二天早上臨時幾個領導開個會議，沒帶電腦的我，前台小姐姐還把她私人的筆記本電腦借我用，還幫我投屏，這個服務簡直太棒了，哈哈……給她們點個超級大的贊贊👍👍，早餐也是很不錯，還有雞湯喝😀，啊姐説餃子是她們自己包的，試了一下，味道鮮美。入住這個酒店太幸福了，都齊全，逛街方便，還有自助洗衣房，不得不給她們的管理點贊，洗衣機分開男女系列，太用心了，這裏的健身器材也是很齊全，跑步機之類的都有。哈哈……下次出差還選擇你們這裏

The owner frequently offered us food and even upgraded our room for free. Great experience during stay here. Receptionist really friendly and helpful. Great location walking distance to Yiren & Zhengyang Night Market, elephant truck, four lake pagoda, many resto, shop, cafe, etc nearby. Li River view. Nice & clean room with smart toilet, spacious. Really recommended hotel in Guilin.

Great value hotel. A quick drive to West Street or other tourist attractions. Plenty of eating options in walking distance. The staff was very friendly, gave us good advice on where to visit, helped us book tickets, and even helped us get parking on a crowded street. The room had an amazing view! Spectacular view of a karst limestone hill with a small lake. The bed was comfy. It seemed the room went under recent renovation, with some modern touches. The aspect that was difficult for me was the smell of cigarette smoke all throughout the hotel. Indoor smoking is a cultural part of China. I don't smoke and the smell was hard for me to withstand. Once you enter the hotel it smells like smoke. Our room also smelled like smoke, which was sad, but what could we do? If you don't mind the smell of cigarette smoke, this hotel is a wonderful value with friendly staff.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The view was beautiful from our room and the location was perfect. Right next to the reed flute caves and delicious Guilin rice noodles 5 minutes away. I was able to take a bamboo raft ride on the lake outside the hotel and the staff were just perfect. Melody’s English was great she was super helpful, all the staff were very helpful. I loved my stay here and they helped us carry all our heavy luggage down into the taxi as well. 10/10 just great. Oh!!! And do not forget to take out the bicycles for a ride!! The hotel lent them to us for free. There is a bicycle trail super close to the hotel that leads all around the town and it was by far my favourite experience in Guilin. The scenery was just amazing.

Also loved how the hotel accommodated with my last minute request for pick up from the train station. They also helped in linking us up with driver when we mentioned we wanted to do a sunrise hike to xianggong mountain. Highly reccomended!

Great value hotel. A quick drive to West Street or other tourist attractions. Plenty of eating options in walking distance. The staff was very friendly, gave us good advice on where to visit, helped us book tickets, and even helped us get parking on a crowded street. The room had an amazing view! Spectacular view of a karst limestone hill with a small lake. The bed was comfy. It seemed the room went under recent renovation, with some modern touches. The aspect that was difficult for me was the smell of cigarette smoke all throughout the hotel. Indoor smoking is a cultural part of China. I don't smoke and the smell was hard for me to withstand. Once you enter the hotel it smells like smoke. Our room also smelled like smoke, which was sad, but what could we do? If you don't mind the smell of cigarette smoke, this hotel is a wonderful value with friendly staff.

I would recommend this hotel to any foreigners who are not too good at speaking Chinese. Most of the staff speak English very fluently. They taught us tourist information such as where to visit with one and half-year-old baby. The view of the Yulong River rafting from our room balcony was spectacular. The location was good. Easy to access Yulong river rafting spot. The hotel restaurant has Chinese food and Western food, which we enjoy a lot. My husband said their sweet sour pork was one of the best. He sometimes had two sweet sour pork a day. They put mosquito cents on at night so we didn't get any mosquito bites. We would like to visit again if we have a chance.

The hotel room is clean, spacious, and quiet. They offer to clean the room each day if needed. It is in a good location. However the reception area is very dirty. The staff members and guests smoke cigarettes a lot. The hallway carpet is disgusting. We do not smoke so find it disgusting that we smell of smoke when we walk through the reception. We didn’t make use of the free breakfast because the area is dirty.

My favorite hotel during our month long China trip. Regrettably stayed here for such a short time but the hotel was very clean and modern. It also right across West street. The breakfast spread could be improved upon but overall thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

Stayed in Zen VIP room on the 6th floor. It was exactly how it was described and we loved it! None of the receptionists speaks English but one of them in particular is extremely kind and helpful. Use your translation app to converse and communicate unless one of your people speaks Chinese. We are American/Japanese mixed family and our daughter assisted us as a translator (she takes Chinese at school). For Guilin and Yangshuo, it’s not easy without Chinese. I highly recommend staying at a hotel with English speaking receptionists unless you or someone in your group speaks Chinese to maximize the stay (or hire a guide). The breakfast is only 15 RMB and it’s super simple Chinese food. If you want western style, you must stay at a different hotel. They have rental bikes but they run out fast Overall, this hotel was amazing for us. The room, location, kind receptionist and room cleaning lady. The pictures are taken from our room. Highly recommend this for the right people. .

There’s self service laundry at the ground floor for a small fee. There’s a simple breakfast provided consisting of porridge, buns, vegetables and boiled eggs, soy milk and a fruit. Location is great within walking distance to the malls and 西关 night market. We also walked to the Aqua market for the fire show at night. There are many eateries around the hotel.

Excellent location within walking streets but in a quiet area. Only 500m from Exit E of Chaoyang Square metro. Many eateries around and is a great hotel for first timer to the city. For longer stay, it is possible air laundry on level 5. Friendly reception who helped to collect my online purchase. Definitely a hotel that is value for money.

The hotel is newly renovated, and some part of the room at the lower floor still under renovation. Our room is facing the main road rather than the school, so I think the view is better and more quiet here. The staff was very friendly and kind to let us do the early check in when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay and don’t mind staying here again.

出差南寧，在動車上臨時訂的酒店，網上評分很高，所以選擇了這裏，酒店位置就在步行街裏面，樓下就可以逛街，晚上還可以去看打鐵花，三街兩巷吃飯，還有很多特產可以買，小吃很多，前台小姐姐很親和，還給我升級了房間，升級的房間還是落地窗的呢，採光很好，雖然在步行街內，但是房間隔音很好，很安靜，5樓的客房阿姨服務很好，笑容很好，第二天早上臨時幾個領導開個會議，沒帶電腦的我，前台小姐姐還把她私人的筆記本電腦借我用，還幫我投屏，這個服務簡直太棒了，哈哈……給她們點個超級大的贊贊👍👍，早餐也是很不錯，還有雞湯喝😀，啊姐説餃子是她們自己包的，試了一下，味道鮮美。入住這個酒店太幸福了，都齊全，逛街方便，還有自助洗衣房，不得不給她們的管理點贊，洗衣機分開男女系列，太用心了，這裏的健身器材也是很齊全，跑步機之類的都有。哈哈……下次出差還選擇你們這裏

Location is about 500m from Nanning Railway Station. Very close the Railway MRT station. Walking distance to malls and pedestrian street. Hotel building is shared by many other tenants. I understand the hotel rooms are from 10th floor upwards.It may not look grand due to ageing structure and slow elevator. The rooms are however, new clean and bright and spacious. Aircon and wifi is excellent. Highly recommend for the price.

The smell of smoke permeates the hotel which is the only thing that bothered me. I requested for non smoking rooms and the staff kindly tried to find rooms with least smell of smoke but unfortunately every time someone starts smoking in another room the smell will waft through the aircon vents even late at night, making the pillow case and bedsheets smell faintly of smoke. Hence the 3 stars for cleanliness. Staff service is excellent and checking in and out was a breeze. Location is also excellent with airport bus drop off right next to the hotel. Despite facing the busy main intersection, soundproofing is great without any traffic noise once windows are shut. Beds are also very comfortable. Perhaps those who are less sensitive to smoke will be alright staying here as it’s great value for the location.

It's not easy to find this hotel, but once you do, it's a great place to stay. It's very convenient for the train and subway stations. The rooms are immaculate, the bed and pillows are comfortable by Western standards, the showers are terrific, there's a fancy lighting and sound system in each room, and overall it's just a nice hotel. Plus the staff is friendly and helpful. It was my first day in China, and everything was complicated by not having the mobile payment apps set up yet. The front desk staff guided me through the hassle, and made a tough situation much easier.

The hotel is right next to the train station and subway, very convenient for traveling but because of this, the train vibration noise can be a problem for sensitive sleepers. The room is clean and well equipped for our needs and the Aircon works well, but the shower tray drains really slowly and you literally stand in your own shower puddle. Breakfast is minimal, all in a bag with bread, a boiled egg and cartoon milk. Also the hotel has a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Overall we had a good stay in Nanning at this hotel.

The room is big. However, the walls are thin, can hear people talking along the corridor and neighbours upstairs and next door making noises. People also smoked in the lift lobby, and the hotel staff did not stop them, although there is signage saying no smoking.

Location is very convenient for using public transportation (very nearby subway, buses and train station). Walking street and shopping malls a stone throw away. At the back of the hotel there is a school located. I choose a room at this (back) side of the hotel which meant you was woken up by the school’s gymnastics program. I really enjoyed having a peak at the school children’s sport schedule and exercise. Hotel is brand new which means non/ very little wear and tear. The gentleman at check in spoke English very well which made it easy to communicate.
