I shall start from arrival at the hotel. We were a family of four who had booked two rooms at the property. We arrived around 14:30 Hrs (at least 30 mins after the designated check-in time). First of all, although the check-in desk at the hotel is quite huge, there were only 3 staff members ***ning the desk, all of them occupied. We had to wait for around 15 mins, looking here and there like *****s with our bags on before someone greeted us. And I do not mind waiting for check-in; what I do mind is that despite multiple staff members seeing us wait, not one of them acknowledge our presence and asked us to take a seat and wait. They would all look at us and carry on. Forget a warm smile, forget a namaste, we were made to feel like fools just standing there without anyone attending to us. When we finally did get a chance to check in, we were given two adjacent rooms. The key to one room was handed over to us, and we were told that the second room is not ready yet and that as soon as it is ready the key would be sent to us in our room. We said okay and moved towards our room. Once in our room, all four of us sat waiting in one room for around 45 mins for the key to the second room. We were not able to unpack because we wanted to unpack in our respective rooms. Tired and hungry, we left the hotel to get ourselves some lunch and some sightseeing, hoping that by the time we return our second room would be ready. When we returned and asked for the key to the second room from the reception desk, we were told that the room that was allocated to us had been now given to someone else -- and we were given some other room that was ”close” to the first room. I understand that asking for adjacent rooms is a mere request and not a right. But had we been given a ”close” room earlier, we could have gotten the keys earlier at the time of check-in! We waited for a room for so long, only for it to be given to someone else. Fast forward to the next morning's breakfast. The spread was quite good and quite diverse in variety. However, again the entire staff at the breakfast looked tense for some reason. And they kept messing up with live counter orders. No one had a smile on, no one welcomed you with warmth, and no one made you feel as if you were staying in a 5-star hotel (which The Lalit considers itself to be). Our entire experience with The Lalit was below par at the very least. It was not the kind of experience you would expect from a branded property that so conveniently calls itself a luxury 5-star property. I honestly feel for the money that I paid, I could and should have gotten a different property and that would have been definitely better. For the foreseeable future, and till things change, I do not see myself staying at any Lalit property.

I loved the boat ride Rooms were okayish , not big enough Washrooms were small and congested Restaurant Food was average Had reserved my buffet by booking a table for a specific time by making advance but later was denied access to it saying that due to overcrowding buffet was sold out View from the river cabin rooms are very beautiful Boatrides are amazing Had bookes a candle light boat ride and the dinner served was delicious Breakfast had great varieties and was really delicious Mr. Sona helped us with boatride booking and buffet bookings He arranged the boatride in a much responsible way and with due care.

The food & service is wonderful here. You will not regret it at all. Mr. Khitish is a wonderful *** who always ensures a quality experience. Everything I’ve eaten here so far was really good. My personal favorite item on their menu is the samurai sushi.

It is really a nice hotel. Good ambiance. Some people will complain about back side construction view & noise. But fortunately I got front side room, moreover who looks outside in city hotel? But for sound hotel May change backside windows to soundproof options. Clean & decorated room. Breakfast is ok, rather I would say Good if not Very Good. Reception people are very helpful, I got early check-in at 12:30PM. Nearby Shopping District. As it is busy area, so get ready for whole day huge traffic.

I'm happy to stay in this hotel according what I paid but you won't expect like 4* but it's more kind of 3.5* only..Staff is very good and helpful and location is excellent but Good is quiet decent but need little bit more improvement and as well as try to keep Veg and non-veg at not separate but try to organize proper section...

We visited the Waterside cafe for the dinner buffet. The food was a delight and the service was impeccable. I especially loved the Indian section of the buffet. Special thanks to Jitendra for the wonderful service. Would love to visit again soon

I had a amazing experience in Taj Bengal , I am here for the first time. Ms Nunte gave us a Great exposures toward the services of Taj and specially offered us Jhalmuri and Chai. She is very humble and ground to earth person, I am glad Taj has employees like Ms Nunte. Keep up the good job☺️

Excellent stay, and great to meet three musketeers enthusiastically led by Mrs. Chowdhury. Except for dyed grandpa at the reception with an ego of a size you may call not quite ok in the hospitality business and quite preoccupied, but still an interesting guy to talk to a lengthy monologue into his deaf ears who then responds by wielding a trick on how to insult a better person in a subtle ***ner. Five star quality room. Just be careful on the street as a fast and furious car chasing its own tail pipe occurred as I was advising a very strange uber driver. The hotel was professional enough to be courteous and very sweetly invited us back. That is the confidence one wishes to see in the hospitality business.

We had visited the hotel in April 2024 and have had an awesome experience of hospitality, food quality & support services. Park Hotel is one of the oldest 5* hotel at Kolkata but it still well maintained and holding their status successfully.
