Terletak di tengah-tengah stesen Kyoto, Ala Hotel Kyoto menawarkan oasis yang tenang di tengah-tengah pemandangan bandar yang sibuk, dengan akses mudah ke pelbagai tarikan pelancong dan hidangan masakan. Terletak di tingkat 10, onsen ini disertai dengan ruang istirahat zen yang tenang, sesuai untuk berehat selepas berendam atau menunggu penyiapan pakaian. Walaupun perkhidmatan dobi adalah percuma, tetamu harus ambil perhatian bahawa detergen tidak disediakan. Walaupun makanan ringan percuma tidak ada, kemudahan onsen yang luas dan suasana tenang mengimbangi pengawasan tersebut. This Modern Ryokan is absolutely beautiful. The room, corridors and dinning area are clean. It's good to experience this in Japan. Their Japanese breakfast set is filling. The Public bathhouse is a must try! You need to remember to read the instructions at the door before entering the bathouse as a sign of respect. They provide robes and slippers that you can use in the vicinity of the property. They also offer massage but remember to book between 1pm -10pm. Overall, it is highly recommended! You will regret booking just for a day like we did.

We stayed at Super Hotel Kawaramachi, Kyoto. The location is very near to the train station and the hotel is very clean, bright, modern and minimalistic. The counter check-in and self check-out is efficient, without troubles. Keypad entry into the room is convenient with no risks of misplacement of key. Clean towels in a black bag placed at the door ensures minimal disturbance to guests. Guests can then return the used towels in the same black bag and place them outside the door. If guests prefer their room to be done up, they can just put the sign at the door. Everything is efficient. Even though the toilet and bath area is small, it is very clean. But fat people may not be able to enter. The water is clean and their bathroom products are labeled organic. The breakfast spread is good enough and satisfying. The happy hour 6 pm - 8 pm with free flow of drinks is good for families to get together. The hot bath onsen facilities are also very good. Overall, even though the hotel room is rather small, we are happy with the facilities and the convenience of the location.

京都之旅最正確的選擇就是入住了一直心心念唸的安縵京都，安縵酒店隱匿在靜謐的森林之中，綠茵環繞，禪意清幽。這次入住楢房，房間很新，一層的大落地窗採光非常好，陽光洋洋灑灑的透過窗照進房間感覺匆忙的旅行一下就慢下來了。最難忘的是入住期間每一位工作人員的笑臉和熱情周到的服務！這次提前預約了兩天的晚餐和下午茶，都在the living pavilion，餐廳所有工作人員服務都是特別有禮貌，服務無可挑剔，菜品都非常精緻美味，下次來要品嚐鷹庵，非常棒的入住體驗，下次秋天來！

Onsen must pay 2,200 ¥ extra per time . No laundry machines inside the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and toilet are equipped with bathtub . Location is quite convenient about 5 minutes from metro and neighborhood is pleasant to stay . Rates were reasonable for weekdays and if you don’t want to enjoy hotel facilities it is a good option.

The hotel is located within 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Station with quite a few eating places and convenient stores nearby. I always enjoy the spa at Dormy Inn and you can pay for massage services which helps you to relax those tired walking feet. Their staff are very friendly and I would like to say a special thanks to Mr. Kwok at the reception desk who was very helpful to me during my stay.

Very good location, everything is nearby! A lot of restaurants around:) The hotel provided a free evening cocktail at the rooftop bar, the view is epic! However, the room is a bit small (as usual in Japan), and breakfast is the same every day, a bit disappointing. Apart from that, overall is good!

Public onsen rooms were great, and even the private ones, while small, had their own unique charm. Although a timer on their usage would be good as well, so people don't have to wait too long. The ryokan itself has a pleasantly old-fashoned style, and the design and furniture of the rooms reflect that - but in some cases, a bit of renovation here and there would be welcome. Our room also didn't have any curtains, only an old-fashioned paper sliding one. Which meant the room was bright as midday from 6am. Maybe too old-school for our tastes! We booked a room with dinner and breakfast included, both in kaiseki style. Really nice presentation, but the taste itself was nothing special. As well, the hotel was very busy and the staff kept reminding us we have a set amount to time before we need to finish our meals - definitely not a relaxing atmosphere, where you could enjoy each bite. But they did offer a late-night ramen, great for people finishing up in the onsen.

First up: it can get really scary walking thru long, dark, quiet lanes from the Kyoto station to the hotel late at night. Regardless of how safe Japan is, this was one of the few times I got spooked. So please just take a cab from the station and dun try walking if you are arriving close to midnight like I did. In the morning though, and after checking out the area + google maps, I realised the hotel location is rather good if you are taking buses instead of trains. The bus stop to many tourist locations are just a short walk away from the hotel entrance. And in Kyoto, I realised buses are the way to go! So this is the best point about the hotel, in addition to the small public bath. Room is small, old, and because they ran out of non-smoking rooms, the room was really smelly because the cigarette smoke/smell has gone right up into the aircon vents. No matter how much deodorant spray you use, it is futile. So please note if you are a non-smoker. Staff are alright but they hardly can speak English. Also a little inflexible in accommodating requests, such as refusing to help me to heat up some packed food. Breakfast spread is average, same food every day.
