Hotel berhampiran Rocky coast di Langkawi

We have visited and reviewed The Datai many times and the fact that we continue to come back year after year despite the very long journey speaks volumes. The setting is stunning and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were happy to chill out and relax surrounded by nature. We have visited many super properties in other countries and enjoyed them very much but The Datai ticks all the boxes for us and feels like our idea of paradise! Over the years we have stayed in most room categories and they are all great but our favourite is a Rainforest Pool Villa. Relaxing in the pool watching the monkeys, birds and butterflies whilst listening to the sounds of the forest and the stream is just sublime. We visited in April and were prepared for rain as the dry season has ended but we had beautiful sunny weather for the vast majority of our 10 day stay. We had 3 days with rain in the late afternoon/early evening but these passed quickly. At this time of the year a lot of flowers are in bloom and many trees are in fruit thus attracting more wildlife. We thoroughly recommend the Spa and enjoyed massages during one of the rain showers which added to the relaxation! The Datai is the most eco friendly hotel we have ever been to and a visit to ‘The Lab’ is well worthwhile and educational as well as fun! We also ‘learned how to be naturalists’ at the Nature Centre and placed hidden cameras in the forest to help monitor the behaviour of the wildlife. This was a fascinating experience and well worth doing! There are many other things to enjoy but we just stuck to our lovely pool and ventured out mainly to eat. We didn’t even go to the beautiful beach at all! The food was great everywhere we ate and if the hotel is busy the Beach Club is a great, peaceful alternative for breakfast although it is just ‘a la carte’ with no buffet option. As every year some old friends amongst the staff have left and we miss them, but new stars always emerge! Thanks to everyone but we must mention Yoon, Azmir, Edy, Gunawan, Shaiful, Izzie, Amelia, Wendy and the legendary Sivagaran!

Hotel ambience very relaxed quiet and romantic for couples. Very enjoyable for family with kids due to swimming pool at your door steps. Hotel bedroom is excellent condition with many drawers. Breakfast is optional however there is no lunch and dinner. Many village restaurants around the area and a mini supermart is just opposite road next to Hotel. Fresh coconut water just outside the hotel.

Ia cukup mudah untuk memberi anda rasa resort, jadi ia mungkin agak tidak memuaskan. Tiada masalah dengan fungsi bilik dan anda boleh menikmati kolam renang. Dari bilik pemandangan laut, anda boleh melihat matahari terbenam di depan mata anda, dan jika anda keluar ke pantai dari belakang hotel, anda akan temui dataran pasang surut di mana anda boleh melihat mudskippers dan ketam. Selain itu, berjalan kaki melalui kampung berhampiran adalah indah dan menyeronokkan. Sarapan pagi hotel sedap. Lawatan bakau yang kami pesan dari hotel juga bagus.

Ini adalah kali kedua saya menginap di Berjaya Resort dan Tropical Rainforest Cabin tidak mengecewakan. Persekitaran pantai dan persekitaran resort sangat semula jadi, dan perkhidmatan sokongan juga sangat baik. Terdapat beberapa restoran yang boleh memuaskan hati seisi keluarga. Saya sering bertemu monyet kecil yang comel di jalan raya. Mereka biasanya sopan dan tidak mengejar orang.

Check in & check out tak amik masa yg lama..suka stay kat sini sebab suasana tenang with nice sunset view..parking pun luas..buggy service cepat & sentiasa ada. Location tak jauh dari airport & tak brp jauh dgn pantai chenang utk sesape yg ada transport. Bilik luas..aminities complete for 3 persons..and the most important..bilik bersih.

Kali ke-2 melawat Danna dan ia tidak mengecewakan lagi. Merancang penginapan kami adalah mudah dengan concierge Danna yang menyelaraskan pada katil tambahan dan aktiviti seperti perjalanan jet ski Baik - Bufet sarapan pagi yang menakjubkan sentiasa bermula dengan baik..campuran barat dan tempatan serta barangan atas permintaan seperti telur, wafel dan penkek - bufet makan malam baharu merupakan tambahan baharu yang hebat dengan stesen BBQ secara langsung walaupun pemilihan protein adalah terhad - Suite Countess mengagumkan dengan bilik mandi jakuzi dan bilik viceroy pemandangan laut juga menakjubkan Negatif - sedikit tidak konsisten dengan pengemasan, kadang-kadang mereka akan lupa untuk mengosongkan - sedikit kemalangan dengan pelayan perkhidmatan bilik masuk apabila kami meminta pelayan wanita. Mereka mendakwa protokol adalah untuk masuk dan menghidangkan makanan selepas 3 kali ketukan tetapi kerana kami meminta wanita itu tidak sepatutnya berlaku Selain itu, perkhidmatan dan penggilap dalam makanan dan bilik adalah yang membawa kami kembali. Sangat sangat disyorkan.

Penting: Terdapat risiko penipuan kad kredit. Persekitaran bilik dan hotel sangat baik. Hotel ini terpaksa menggunakan kereta bateri apabila keluar di tengah-tengah gunung. Matahari terbenam sangat indah. Tetapi inilah perkara utama, terdapat risiko kad kredit dicuri, jadi sila ingat untuk memberi perhatian kepadanya. Apabila kami mendaftar masuk, seorang pelayan yang gelap dan gemuk telah membantu kami mendaftar masuk. Apabila saya membayar deposit, saya memberikannya kad kredit saya. Dia mengambil pen dan menyalin nombor kad kredit saya. Pada masa itu, saya fikir nombor kad itu adalah tiada apa-apa dan tidak bertanya, tetapi dia berpaling kemudian. Kad itu terus ditulis. Saya bimbang dia akan menyalin kod keselamatan di medan tandatangan di belakang kad, jadi saya bertanya kepadanya secara khusus. Dia berkata don 'Jangan risau, dia hanya menyalin bahagian bawah kad dan tidak menyalin kod keselamatan. Saya tidak terlalu memikirkan hotel sebesar itu. Akibatnya, kira-kira 10 hari selepas keluar dari kedai, kad kredit telah dicuri di Malaysia. Nasib baik saya menerima mesej teks yang memerlukan kod pengesahan untuk berjaya, jadi kad kredit itu tidak berjaya digunakan. Saya cepat-cepat menutup kredit kad untuk kegunaan luar negara. Kad kredit anda yang berakhir dengan XXX adalah dalam 2023 Pada 8 Oktober, pembelian mata wang tempatan 922.02 gagal, dan nama pedagang telah menempahmyMK2DK2. ”Dia adalah satu-satunya yang menyalin kad kredit saya sepanjang perjalanan, dan tidak ada yang kedua, jadi saya sangat yakin bahawa ia adalah dia yang melakukannya. Semua orang mesti memberi perhatian untuk melindungi maklumat kad kredit anda. .

In all my travels, this was a first: a ZOMBIE HOTEL (I'm going to coin the phrase). Originally a Sheraton, and, word has it, one of the first hotels built on the island (in the 1960s or 1970s, one assumes), Mr and Mrs Sheraton have long since taken down their signage and vamoosed; I like to think leaving the big bunch of keys as a parting gift to a dozen plucky locals who try their best to continue the tradition. Make no mistake, this hotel is technically dead. It probably died in a zombie apocalypse a few decades ago. Today, ghosts and zombies roam the grounds. Tumble**** blows around the property with unraked leaves and stray dogs. The wind whistles. The huge Balkan Reception area gives off an un-airconditioned ”gulag chic”, like, perhaps, a hotel in downtown Chernobyl. You expect a startled deer or elk to suddenly bolt from behind the piano and crash through a plate glass window at the sight of customers. And the woman (I think maybe a zombie) at reception robotically tells us our room isn't ready yet and won't be ready till 3pm. It's now midday. You can visit the restaurant, she suggests. We visit the restaurant, and spook the living daylights out of a skittish deer*, which upturns a metal serving trough and crashes through a plate glass window to freedom. There is no one in the restaurant. Why would there be?... this is a dead hotel. We return to the sneering receptionist. There's nobody in this hotel, we plead...how can our room not be ready? Can we see the room that isn't ready? She says 3pm check in is hotel policy. And that our room needs to be ”finessed”, whatever that means. And so we wait in the huge echoey, hot, lobby staring at a massive model Malaysian Airlines A380 at centrepiece. Eventually, she relents and we get shown to our room via a pish-smelling bockety lift and a dimly lit hallway that brings to mind a Victorian, now-shuttered English prison. As we clump, we advance-shudder at what the room is going to be like. To be fair, it's not too bad. Spacious, overly-hot water and overly-cold aircon, a bathroom that's seen better days but mercifully there's a bolt on the door to keep the zombies out and a balcony overlooking the one weird and very-much-still-alive bit of this hotel: for some reason, the pool continues to function and has been kept relatively clean. It's 50 meters and almost as wide as it is long. It's so incongruous. Like an oasis. A mirage. A huge duck pond. It infinities to the dirty beach and infected sea beyond. Crappy, rusty, dusty, iron loungers lounge and it abuts a skanky gym where most of the equipment either sighs or is out of order. Do not believe any of the ”romantic” pics or claptrap reviews. We got suckered for a hundred bucks a night. It's not worth twenty. This is a dead hotel that is somehow undead. The vibe is positively spooky. All that said, anyone reading this who's location-hunting for any class of a horror movie, should definitely check it out. *Officially there are no dee

I was here during LIMA 2023. Near to airport. Save time and transport cost by walking to exhibition hall. The best stay ever! The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check in and out were professionally handled and easy. I loved the Wings Afternoon Tea at the Wings Lounge& Jazz. It's really cosy and relaxing after spending hours in LIMA hall. I can even watch spectacular scene's of flights cruising through the viewing deck. And of course I enjoyed the most my drinks by the pool bar. I would definitely recommend this luxury resort in Langkawi to my family and friends in USA.

Hotel ini agak lama, tetapi ia dijaga dengan baik dan ia masih terasa seperti bercuti. Sorotan terbesar ialah ia sangat tenang, terdapat sedikit orang, dan pemandangan pantainya bagus, tetapi airnya tidak biru dan pasirnya tidak halus dan putih. Cuma boleh dikatakan Langkawi secara umumnya rata-rata. Hotel ini agak menjimatkan kos di Langkawi. Semua makanan diuruskan di hotel, dan restoran Itali memasak makanan yang enak.
