VIE Via - Your Hotel

Wonderful, spacious room with the fluffiest pillows and duvet. I also loved the bathroom and the water pressure! I'm personally not a fan of the 'just a room' concept, simply b/c I love interacting with staff when coming and going and for me is part of traveling, but I can absolutely see why this is appealing to independent travelers. I didn't even know about this aspect b/c I had called the Post Plaza Hotel to get a wheelchair accessible room there, but b/c that was already booked for my date, they offered the one at the Vie Via next door and I said let's do it! I'll just see what it's about when I get there ;). Wonderful staff though. I'd been instructed to call upon arrival as I wasn't able to use the entrance stairs of course and needed to use the back door, which is closed off by a gate. I was welcomed by Zeki who was very kind and pleasant to interact with. I also received an additional button for my phone to be able to open the gate myself, but he made sure I was welcome to contact them whenever I needed anything, anytime. Even though it's not my preferred style (the Post Plaza is :D), I do think it was designed very well and I loved my room and stay at the Vie Via that is in a beautiful street and great location.

The hotel is not convenient to the train station and the lobby is not welcoming. In fact it’s locked and the only way to get in is to ring the bell. They also would not refund my fifth night at the hotel even though I was still staying for four nights and updated my reservation 24 hours prior to arrival.

We stayed in Leeuwarden and as all hotels were very expensive or out of city center, we found Via Via hotel, a newly build hotel with spacious lobby and friendly host. The design is modern and inviting. The lobby also has a shop with all essentials you can think of and small kitchen, in the basement there are lockers in which we could store our luggage for the day (24h, 7.5EUR). The room itself is rather small, but we didn't need anything more, the bathroom was surprisingly spacious and everything was thought-through and had fun design elements. Bed slept excellent and price/quality there's nothing you can say about it. Would definitely recommend! (And also visit the bar of Post Plaza, probably the most beautiful bar in Leeuwarden).

Very low level of service, indeed... 'just a room' and nothing else. Pricewise not more attractive and the parking advice was not useful. And to state that they have no inkling of international cultural sensitivity... The toilet (bathroom) literally has a display with lights that says: Get Shi... Done. Very interesting and very offensive.

The hotel was pleasant enough, although the small room was a little claustrophobic. Unfortunately clothing disappeared when staff serviced our room and hotel management insisted that their policy was of no responsibility, which included not paying for replacing the items. It’s unfortunate when neither the management nor the staff can be trusted.

Het hotel biedt ruime ( zelfs de kleinste kamer ) kleurrijke moderne kamers. Heerlijke douche en heel fijn bed. Stoel, tafeltje. De gezamenlijke ruimtes zijn heel gezellig. Veel zitjes, grote en kleine tafels. Heel veel kunst, boeken, spelletjes, bladen. Ik mis een koffie-theezet mogelijkheid op de kamer, maar wanneer je dorst krijgt kun je 24 uur iets kopen. Het hotel ligt rustig en zeer centraal. Een aanrader. De buitendeur en de kamerdeur open je met jouw mobiel. Er is geen balie met baliemedewerkers, maar er is altijd iemand in de buurt, die jou tips kan geven en eventueel kan helpen.

Een super hotel midden in het centrum. Heel hip en prachtig gestyled. Geen receptie , alles bedienbaar met je smartphone! Betaalde kluis om je bagage alvast op te bergen. Drankje en hapje selfservice mbv betaaldisplay. Gezellige verblijfsruimte. Keurige kamers, ook weer even mooi gestyled. Het was top!!

Mooi, modern hotel. Hoewel er staat dat het in principe “receptie vrij” is, was er wel een groot deel van de tijd dat wij er waren staff aanwezig. De kamer was ruim, schoon, modern en smaakvol ingericht. Thermostaat goed te bedienen. Bed comfortabel en een fijne regendouche. Miste alleen een matje bij de douche voor het overtollige water. Fijne Marie Stella Maris producten. De “swipe open” voor onze kamerdeur werkte niet maar we kregen een losse keycard waarmee dat direct verholpen was. Het winkeltje had verschillende producten zoals chocola, nootjes en chips, koffie, drankjes, en voor in de ochtend ook een ruime keuze uit yoghurt en granola. Hoewel we het hotel helaas niet in volle glorie konden zien (er was net een nieuwe vloer gelegd en de woonkamer was daardoor niet beschikbaar) hebben we een zeer prettig verblijf gehad en zou ik dit zeker aanraden! Midden in de stad, en op de website verschillende tips qua eten etc.

Heerlijk, het gemak om zó naar binnen te kunnen zonder receptie! Voelt vrij en werkt super makkelijk! Wat een douche, met massagestraal.. het is een hotel anno 2023, meegaan in de tijd. Top, aanrader
