Hotel berhampiran Leipzig-Miltitz, Leipzig

This very sad hotel stuck in the 90’s was very disappointing . The hotel staff were friendly, but one couldn’t tell the staff from guests apart, because they didn’t wear a uniform or have name badges on. The room was very dark. Dark old rug, very dark wooden closets that were way to large for the room. That dark furniture had seen better days and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The bathroom a nightmare. The shower was old and dingy, black spots of mold between the grout. The soap dispenser was over 1 meter away from the sink. Very nerve racking. The breakfast buffet was somewhat disappointing. There was almost everything available, but the long lines at the 1 coffee maker wasn’t an ideal situation. After 1 week , I was happy to leave.

We booked for a family of 5 (3 of them kids). We got a family double room with 4 beds. For the little one not bed was there, but he had to sleep in the middle of a king size bed with the bigger ones. As all rooms were full, they could not offer an alternative room. At least we got an additional blanket and pillow. The beds were clean, but the rest of the rooms were badly cleaned. The ground was sticky and we found coffee spots at the door. The bathroom was smelling badly. We had booked a parking lot, but the entrance was only 1,90m tall, so our van could not pass it and we had to park on the street. At least canceling the lot was no problem. The price was fair, but we will not stay there again, because of the bad rooms.

In viaggio verso Berlino abbiamo fatto tappa in questo albergo situato nelle vicinanze dell'uscita autostradale di Lipsia Ovest. Si trova nel mezzo di una zona industriale ma con il navigatore non abbiamo avuto nessuna difficoltà. E' decisamente un'ottima soluzione per una tappa, la camera pulita ed adeguata a tre persone, con un bagno molto grande. Il wifi in camera non funzionava ma non è stato un problema. Colazione del mattino abbondante sia dolce che salata. Ci siamo trovati bene, volevamo fermarci per non arrivare a Berlino verso sera e questo hotel si è rivelato adeguato, sicuramente lo terrò presente in futuro, poco prima e poco dopo sono presenti dei supercharger Tesla, ma in ogni caso la rete di ricarica in Germania è ben presente. Volendo nei pressi c'è un'Ikea dove si può ricaricare gratuitamente.

Très agréablement surpris par cet hôtel un peu perdu dans la périphérie de Leipzig. Les plus : Accueil agréable Chambre spacieuse Bonne literie Propreté bien faite Chambre équipée d’un réfrigérateur (rare dans un ***) Chambre équipée d’un mini coffre fort Restaurant appréciable. Avons dîné d’une entrecôte et d’une daurade. Les deux plats étaient parfaits et le service également. Bravo, il y avait du bacon au petit-déjeuner (rare dans un ***). Excellent rapport qualité/prix Les moins : Salle de bain un peu vieillotte Pas une seule chaîne française sur tv Pas de viennoiseries au petit-déjeuner Agencement de la salle de petits déjeuners pas top. Malgré ces petits désagréments, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous recommandons cet endroit.

The location was perfect and the price was suitable for me. There was enough USB and power outlets for everyone. There was also a mirror and a place to hang clothes (e.g. jackets). There were also a fewer hangers than the people in the room but it was ok during my stay; only one other person and myself used them. There were also 6 locker compartments, which was very useful, but you have to buy your own lock. You can buy it from the lobby but in my case they were out of stock so I bought from Rossman, and thankfully I still had time to get one before they close. So, it's better to buy your own lock and use it in your travel. However, being in an 8-bed room with others meant that the toilet was not always clean because of different people using it, having different standards, and the smell in the room was not very good and needed ventilation and something to protect others when someone in the room is sick. So, I would suggest putting leaflets and using controlled rules. Also, the one who used the bed before me has left the pillow and blanket unorganized and with his own dirty cover, so I had to remove them and tidy them before putting mine. I believe, these should be cleaned and tidied up before me. Also, the heater's knob had no numbers so I couldn't know on which level it is. Also, the attitude of the first person I met at the reception desk was not very good at the beginning, but afterwards I didn't have to talk deal a lot with them. I wouldn't recommend a&o's App for usability, but I used to check-in while on the way. However, when I arrived, it was difficult to use the self check-in terminal. It prints a paper with my room number asking me to confirm it, but how do I know the room number in the first place before checking in?? also, whoever used it before me had not taken his printed receipt, so when I had to take the paper, I took also this receipt, with amounts that are not mine, so it was confusing. When I went to the reception clerk and asked him, he first misunderstood and started the checkin based on that wrong receipt. When I started to notice that, I told him (again) that this receipt is not mine, so he asked me (with quiet frustration) ”then why are you showing me this?” and then asked me for my ID to proceed with my check-in. Of course, it feels very bad when he blames me, but also they should be better listeners and need to pay attention to the usability of the self check-in scenario in the App as well as the terminal.

Location is just across the hbf, though a little walking is needed. Breakfast was ok, but not too extensive . No machine coffee available . Reception was friendly and helpful, but can get slow due to many guests at the same time. It’s not actually a Marriott hotel level as other countries.
