Hotel di Leukerbad

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Hotel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, speziell der Kellner und die Rezeptionistin, ihnen beiden gilt ein grosser Dank. Uns kam es vor wie das Personal 14h arbeiten würde, da wir immer die gleichen Gesichter sahen. Das Restaurant können wir sehr empfehlen, die Preis/ Leistung hat sehr gepasst. Die Zimmer sahen nicht so aus wie auf den Bildern. Einiges hat nicht funktioniert, wie Bsp. der Toilettenlüfter oder die fehlende Lampe. Der Wellnessbereich hat eine kleine Sauna, das Römische Bad sah aus wie eine Baustelle und das Solebad war für mich zwenig beheizt. Zudem stand im Ruheraum nur eine Massageliege, was mit einem Roboter/ KI gesteuert wurde. Wenn man die Maschine mehr mag wie den Menschen.... Das Frühstück war etwas enttäuschend, die Früchte wurde nicht geschnitten, es gab kein Gemüse, die Pfandkuchen wurden einfach hingestellt, bis sie kalt waren. Wer auf ein goldiges Frühstück WERT legt, wird dort nicht glücklich.

das Hotel liegt ruhig und doch total zentral. Vom P6 aus direkter Ausgang zum Hotel. Zur Torrentgondel welche in s Skigebiet fährt 10 Min ab Hotel zu Fuss. Direkte Talabfahrt bis zum Hotel. Zum Thermalbad leukerbvad Therme 10 Min. Zum Dorfzentrum mit Restaurants Läden etc. 5.Min Im Hotel toller Service mit genialem Frühstücksbuffet. und hoher Gastronomie am Abend. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Skipässe oder Tageseintritte direkt im Hotel buchbar so muss man nicht an den Kassen anstehen. Bravo Saubere Zimmer und alles da ohne zu klotzen. Sonnige Balkone.

We were here over Christmas and it was perfect. Our room was large and had a lovely balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size and also very clean. It had everything we needed. Because it was Christmas there was someone playing the piano during dinner (He was excellent) and so we had drinks before which were perfect. This was both nights. Breakfast was also good. The lift is very small! One person and luggage only. The pool and spa were superb! The outdoor spa in winter is truly magical - such a special way to spend Christmas Day afternoon (so different to the sun and heat in Australia). Hotel is in a great location for walking anywhere in the village. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent 6 nights in Hotel Les Sources des Alpes over a summer's week in 2021. Leukerbad was fairly quiet. I don't know if it was the summer season, or Covid impact. We had the room Pinot-Noir which was a huge suite on the 4th floor with fantastic views down the valley. Sunrise was to die for. As mentioned, the room was huge, and evidently a merging of two older rooms since we had two separate toilet rooms at opposite ends of the room, with the main bathroom separate yet again. Other reviews talk about the decor being a bit tired. Yes, we noticed this in our room, but it didn't detract from a feeling of old school grand tour luxury, and the room was kept immaculate, with chocolates delivered every day. One negative: no aircon. It was a rare warm summer week in the alps and we only just sort of got through it by opening up all the windows, but that was quite noisy. The staff were first class. I want to call out Marco in the bar, who made us great cocktails every day and had time for a chat. And also Anna in the spa, who gave me a couple of the best massages (traditional and then Thai) I've ever had. The massage prices seemed expensive, but it was worth it for the great massage. Ask about a discount on quiet days. When we had a glitch with the room safe, the manager was also prompt in getting it fixed and opened within a couple of hours. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we've had in the last couple of years as so many hotels cut back on their breakfast menus due to Covid. The made to order eggs were great... eggs benedict for breakfast every day anyone? Dinner on site was a bit of a let down, a bit of style over flavors, but the subject of a restaurant review rather than hotel review. A few reviewers also picked on ageing spa facilities, but honestly, real thermal water is a harsh environment and we found them clean even if there was some limescale build up in some places. We saw them empty and clean the pools each night. And, although there are only two main baths (indoor and outdoor, roughly the same temp), they are large for the number of people using them. The steam room (hamam) and sauna were virtually private since only two people could use them at once. We went to the major public baths, the the Leukerbad pools were way too crowded at all times of day, and the Walliser Alpentherme was still under heavy renovation and didn't offer much for the price (although it was very quiet). We ended up preferring the spa at the Hotel Les Sources des Alpes which we could use every day. Inclusive valet parking on site was also a plus. Hotel Les Sources des Alpes, and particularly our room, was not cheap, but it was a treat to get away from recent challenges, and particularly the service and spa made it feel worth every rappen.
