Barefoot Lodge and Safaris - Malawi

I really enjoyed my stay, the place is so beautiful and there rooms are everything amazing.The customer service was great, the workers where so kind to me.The place is outside town,quite a nice place for a getaway.You can go there with friends or individually to reflect on life and just to spend quality time with self 😁.One advice l would give is do carry sleeping socks and warm sleeping wear cause somehow the rooms are cold but apart from that the place is great and the shower 🚿 has warm water and the rooms are quite clean 😁

Stayed here for two nights in the chalets and had the most amazing time. The lodges were so lovely and clean. The staff and owners are also very friendly and had some great conservations with them at the wonderful bar - we especially recommend the springbokkey’s (a South African shot). We went on the 4x4 drive to the local rock to watch the sunset with the owner Rudolph. This was an amazing experience and the sunset and drive were amazing. Getting into Lilongwe was also very easy due to the local taxi service who can be reached via reception. I/ we highly recommend staying here to all, if looking for a lovely place to stay in Lilongwe that’s not quite in the centre.

This is so much more than a lodge. The lodge and chalets themselves are in a green haven of birds, beautifully appointed and welcoming. I was lucky enough to be invited to the early morning bird watching which was a fabulous introduction to our safari trip. Rudolph was my guide and driver. I could not have felt more safe in his hands. We drove in the land rover through amazing countryside and rural villages. Our first stop Liwonde National park where we had breakfast with elephants. Rudolph provided a private guided tour through the park and not only knew a phenomenal amount but kept us both laughing all they way round. The kale safari was unbelievable and well worth doing. Day three and we headed to the heart of the fishing village where we are the delicious local fish and we’re entertained by a group of young lads playing home made instruments on the beach. Then I was whisked off to a tropical island in the lake where I was treated to a night with the island to myself, with just a chef to look after me! This was a life changing trip which I truly thought was unattainable for me but Barefoot Lodge and Safari made it a most amazing reality.
